Bro, I have a 2001 zo6 and I just installed a MGW just one week ago. Super big difference in shifting much more enjoyable to drive my car. Hope you enjoy yours.👍
I use a C6 manual shifter with the anti-venom washers. The shifts are great, you don't have to muscle the shifter in and out of gear. And for the money, MGW are way overpriced for only half a shifter.
I put 2 washer on my C6 and it was too loose, 1 washer for the anti venom mod made it good but I can still see improvement to be made. Installing my MGW tomorrow and just feeling it out of the box its much better than anything GM offers and the throws are still too long on the stock shifter for me.
Hey man I just bought my C5 and its short throw shifter is EXTREMELY tight, to the point that you cant even wiggle it in neutral... I am reading around how to loosen it and it seems you need to loosen a bolt and or lube up some things... I've been watching the install process and seeing how things work and I can't see anywhere that I would loosen a bolt, or even lube up for that matter. So I am very confused on how I can loosen up my shifter, it is absolutely brutal. Praying for a response, thanks man
@@lampat.8830 Yeah reverse is the one gear that is genuinely brutal to get it into gear. The rest are all hard to get into but it is fine and you get use to it. I contacted MGW and all they told me was that there newer model would be less stiff if I have the old model. But that's the only assistance they provided
Is this an older model ? The MGW site shows the flat stick model being custom colored down to the round black base. In other words , your entire shifter stick should be red. Good vid either way. Love that 70s TV action show music.
@@VetOnVettes yes , maybe it was a coincidence but my car had 64000 miles on it 2 years ago and not long after the mgw installation it started popping out of reverse. When I bought it it already had a b&m which looked stock with no issues.
Car has 80000 miles now , I know its a common problem with c5 , ive been thinking about putting the old one back on just to see what happens. Instead of going inside the trans

Good job, looks great! Are the ball/stick threads 3/8" or something else? Please dont sat metric ; ) Thanks.
I’m so glad mine came with a short throw shifter.
I really hope this channel takes off
Thanks man! 👍👍🤘
Why did you remove the hurst one, i got the hurst on my c5z as well and i think it makes my car louder, is that possible? Like vibration noise
When I bought my stock 2004 c5 z06 2 years ago , it was the 1st mod I did . Must have ! Mgw flatstick with the anti-venom mod 👌
Great video thanks for the content!

I have the exact same problem
I use both hand to shift into Reverse 😂

I don't believe so 🤔. I got it in January (from MGW)
@@VetOnVettes Check out the site see what you think. I'm pulling the trigger next month, so it makes a difference .
Let me know if it starts popping out of reverse with this shifter
Are you experience that with the MGW?

Thank you!
Congrats! I have a hurst and c6 knob in mine, you will love it!
What’s the difference between flatstick and the other short shifter from mgw
From what I understand, its just the arm and type of shift ball you can use.
