Asking Emma to not speak in vague exposition when you the player isn't supposed to learn about stuff is like asking Gaius to not talk about the wind or Laura the sword. It can't be done.

I mean they ARE students, that they manage to take down demons far surpasses what they should be able to do, I'm happy other more experienced people got to take on Ouroboros and Zephyr, and while they did ultimately have to be bailed out, the fights show Class VII grew through out the game by being able to actually push them back considerably.

    - Just like in the video, let's start in medias res with our crew preparing to assault the Infernal Castle; with Elise on board the Courageous in order to keep him in check and everyone on board dunking on him including Valimar XD, she could've evacuated with the imperial family, but she wanted to watch over him; the Pentagruel comes to intercept us, but just like the Glorious back in Sky, it can't keep up with our maneuverability and we get past it, then there's magic knight at the Plaza that our Thors friends will take care of, including Makarov and Thomas, with the latter apparently holding back (you know why now since you finished the game and saw the video); and then there's a magical b a r r i e r standing in our way that Rean gets past by channeling his power through the Zemurian Tachi, reaching the same state that Crow has, finally putting us at equal strength to him, and just in time too because the next time Valimar will move will be at the battle against him at the top; the b a r r i e r close behind them and the Courageous now engage themselves in a battle against the Pentagruel to distract them; it's all on us now.
    - Welcome to the Infernal Castle, our "final" dungeon of this game (and Millium speaks to our souls once again XD), a place of great historical value, but that doesn't matter right, what's important is to put an end to the calamity and return safely to create a new future; and with probably one of the best final dungeon track in the background: Phantasmal Blaze, named after the eponymous plan of Ouroboros and contain the Heimdallr Leitmotif inside of it, just like the Final Choice and Awakening Will; nothing left but to press on in the stratums starting with the first here.
    - The first is classic, a ruined castle that resemble how Lohengrin is structured and the ennemies descriptions are quite interesting, like the one of the Ebony Pawn; I was wondering as well in my first playthrough what the hell were these magic knights doing crouching on the ground XD, and the description explains that, there were revived thanks to Vita chanting Lucifen Lied but they haven't regain enough mana yet to stand up properly, and we have familiar ennemies here as well like the Seraphic Gates who were bosses in the Old Schoolhouse and our good old suit of armor Ol-Gadia making its return as an enemy in the Final dungeon just like last game.
    - But let's to go the end, you were wondering about the music, it's the same that was playing inside the Proving grounds of the shrines: Aria -Holy Saint, Holy Spirit- ; but before we go to the next stratum, we have to deal with Bleublanc and Duvalie one last time, while the former do his usual antics, the latter implies that her lord challenged this castle once too, furthering the connection between Arianrhod and the Lance Maiden, but that still raises the question that no one is able to answer that kinda put the kibosh on this particular theory: how the hell can someone who was alive 250 years ago be alive now ? At least we can be certain that there's definitely some inspiration taken from them, because of the resemblance between the Stahlritter and Eisenritter ; Laura has a whole speech if you bring her that is omitted if you don't, and it can be easy to miss since you don't know who you'll face until you open the door unlike the other bosses of the castle, but with her, we get to see Duvalie acting like a child once again, Bleublanc calls the Balancing clowns Archaisms he had back in Sky and it's on!
    - This fight is.... tricky, not only does it enter the no hold barred category, but Bleublanc and Duvalie are powerhouses with great ailment coverage to make your life hell (Duvalie has Seal, Burn, Seal, Confuse and At Delay, and Bleublanc has Nightmare, Mute, Poison and Stat down), Duvalie has the same moveset as last time, but Bleublanc has now access to his S-craft: Death Magic, the same as in Sky, who's si gle target and will leave at 1HP with poison, leaving you at the mercy of following attacks if you don't heal quickly or switch partners; not to mention his balancing clowns can also hit hard, are spongy enough to be annoying, and even worse, heal the bosses, and Bleublanc can summon them indefinitely, probably the worst adds of the dungeon; not the hardest fight but clearly a good preview of what's to come afterward.
    - We won, but Duvalie has enough of you and the characters mocking her constantly that she pulls a uno reverse card on us, turning the situation around with blistering speed, and it's in this situation that Olivier and Toval comes to the rescue in a storm of rose petals like he promised he would right after the pentagruel escape, the situation of western Erebonia is beginning to settle so they were able to join us in Heimdallr alongside Mueller who's helping the students at the Plaza deal with the magic knights.... And he does that exceptionally well considering that he BISECTED one in one strike holy shit! He's joined soon after by Neithardt who was allowed to come here due to Brigadier general Bardias calling for a ceasefire in light of current events (yeah, you probably have other priorities than fighting when the city has a giant castle sprouting from out of nowhere 😅), we heard in the last game that they were friends, so it's nice to see them together and battling 3 magic knights at once, Thomas is so excited that he wants to join in on the fun XD; but yeah, things are good hands and we progress while Olivier and Toval occupy Bleublanc and Duvalie, but not without angering the latter and giving her the middle finger as we ascend to the next stratum...........ok we don't do that, but I can imagine Fie doing it to taunt her XD.
    - So, the second Stratum, this one has more vines and branches than the previous one, and it also has more organic creatures as well whereas the first stratum had contraptions, heck there's an avenger as well (I had to make the joke about an ennemy named Black Widow XD), as well as an abbadon, who's one ugly motherfucker; but anyway....
    - At the end awaits the guys from Zephyr, and as you saw, the game forces you to take Fie for this one, as it should be, because it's the moment that conclude her whole arc in these two games, it would be like if in Sky SC you couldn't bring Zin to the Walter fight or Schera for the Luciola fight...... Oh wait. But yeah, now that she reunited with them, we can finally have the answer to the question we had since they reappeared: why did they leave Fie behind after their "disbandment" ? And the answer is.... That's what the boss wanted; he asked them that if he died during his battle against the War God, that they should get her out of the Corps for good; like Fie said during her backstory last game, the boss was opposed to her being a part of the corps but was forced to accept after she and the others insisted on it, and he thought that his death would be a good opportunity for her to cut off from this life, he heard that the Guild caught wind of their battle, so he arranged for Sara to take her in after the corps goes their separate way; so yeah, the Corps weren't assholes by leaving her behind like that, that was a deliberate decision deduced by their boss in order for her to live a better life.... Man, when you compare them to the guys of the Red Constellation, it's night and day😅; and unfortunately, they can't answer question regarding the others of the corps because that's confidential matters that she isn't privy to now that she left it, but she's always welcome to try to beat it out of them, and she'll do so not because it's the way of the Jaeger, but her way as an individual, she decides for herself now and is able to protect what matter most to her, compared to before where she needed to be protected and let other decide for her; it's time for the child to prove to her parents that she can flap with her own wings instead of being coddled in the nest.
    - Out of the boss gauntlet that we have in this dungeon, this one is probably the easiest; there's no adds beside the two, probably to account for the javelin traps of Xeno on the field, but these traps aren't resistant enough and he doesn't apply them often, so most of the time, there will be just the two to deal with; there's no new tricks in this fight, all of their moves were showed already in the previous fight against them; and they deal in pure damage with a few ailments like Faint and Deathblow (the javelins are supposed to compensate for that, but they're not durable enough to pose any threat); that doesn't mean they're THAT easy though, they can still hurt a lot, especially if they decide to do their S-crafts back to back, but as I said, they're probably easier than Bleublanc and Duvalie on this one.

    • @stratfor140
      @stratfor140 20 дней назад

      - We won, but they decide to unleash their War Cry (speaking of which, I don't recall you accidentally killing Gaius with his ability throughout the two games, wow, incredible👍); and Rean consider calling Valimar, not using his power, when Claire and Sharon comes to the rescue......yeah, I'll talk about it quickly, peoole complain that Class VII is always getting bailed out in this dungeon and can't win their own battles against these opponents who were setup throughout the game; but they're kinda forgetting that 1: they're students; 2: these opponents WERE pushed into a corner by them (except the next one of course); and 3: they're just obstacles toward their goal, which is to reach the top of the castle to fight Crow and stop Vita, so it's okay to leave them to other people to fight in their place; before moving on to the next stratum, Xeno and Leo answer that the rest of the Corps are doing just fine and that they're working separately from them right now "to bring back the boss" whatever the hell that means 🤷, and to warn us against our next opponent in this gauntlet, it's here that having Sara in the party helps because she reveals the name of the Jaeger King: Rutger Claussell, and that she knows for certain that he and the War God absolutely died, so they couldn't have meant it literally, but we'll see.
      - Now the Third Stratum, where are the ennemies are more...... Demonic, with the demon riders and Greater devils of Sky the 3rd and Zero/Azure, along with as you saw, Nosferatus that are mandatory to beat in order to progress further; there's also a section where you must choose one of three path and you fight pit demons if you choose poorly, as well as an external corridor with a view of the city.
      - Now, It's time to face Mcburn, alone, I don't know why you thought Vita would be here with him, Mcburn Is plenty enough by himself considering he was hyped up as being Arianrhod tier, did you wanted to fight them both at the same time ? XD Anyway, technically he has no reason to be here, but he still is because of one reason: He wants to fight Valimar, by himself, the madlad, and he could probably win too; but of course, we can't give him that luxury since Valimar will be needed in the battle against Crow later, if he uses it now, he won't be in peak condition once we reach the top; having Emma around helps having more infos, and compares McBurn's power to the divergent laws of Ouroboros, which prompt him to shut her up, the Divergent Laws were brought up in Sky, Weissman staff and Loewe's sword: Kernvitter, were forged through the divergent laws by the grandmaster, which is why one was was able to break the B a r r i e r of the Aureole, and the other was able to store the Aureole within it; but that's not the subject, for now, the objective is to force our way past Mcburn in order to reach the top.
      - Frankly, I'm surprised you considered the fight to be "not as bad as you thought" considering it's regarded by the community as one of the strongest boss of the game, his adds can be bothersome, but not as much as the balancing clowns of earlier and they can get rid of quick; Mcburn on the other end is something else, he's at 0 for all ailments except for stat down and Delay, who are at 10, is quite resistant all elements, especially fire (Except of course the lost arts), the same moves as last time, which can cause Burn, Deathblow, Scorch (that's the purple fire icon, it's an ailment specific to Mcburn take 50% of max HP after every turn, compared to regular burn which take around 20%......yeah pretty brutal), and All Cancel, based on the next episode, it seems you had forgotten that effect, which isn't surprising since it only showed up at the previous Mcburn fight, but it seems you didn't even notice it was also used here, so a refresher: it removes all positive effects of the one afflicted, which means you can't use immunity statuses like Craft Guard or Art Reflect to block these attacks and it will strip you of your buffs like Regen and the rest, which is quite annoying to deal with; not only that, but he can also use his S-craft during the fight that's absolutely terrifying : Incandescent Hellfire, where he throws A FREAKING SUN AT US!!!! ( 43:54 it was at this moment that they knew........ They fucked up), it also has All Cancel so your only hope of surviving it (especially on Nightmare) is to built someone durable enough to tank that S-craft without being OHKO (which seems to be the game with your Gaius) or use the Angel Quartz or a proxy/emergency puppet to resurrect but then you can only tank 2 of them max; and that's still not done, in addition to his craft, he can cast Arts just like last time, notably Purgatorial Flames, which can cause 30k damage of not impeded or reflected, but also most importantly the FREAKING LOST ART: SOL ERUPTION, which also has All Cancel properties (both offensive lost arts have that) and can cause around 50k damage.......so yeah, there's no way you can tank that, your only hope of surviving is to Impede him before he can cast it, thankfully, lost arts take a while to cast so you have some time; but yeah, this fight can wipe you out in an instant if you let your guard down, fitting for the strongest enforcer.
      - After that, he says that we're fine and decides to crank up the heat, he doesn't care what Vita or even Arianrhod has planned, ever since Loewe died, he wants to find someone who can take him on, and Class VII seem the perfect candidate, he goes from Almighty Conflagration to Blazing Demon and throws suns at us like it's nothing; and just we're about to call Valimar, the Viscount comes to the rescue, which prompt Mcburn to crank it up even further by calling Angbar, a demonic sword paired with Loewe's Kernvitter, and it's in that moment that you realize how you only scratched the surface of what he's actually capable of, he was already strong before, and now he's practically unstoppable, thankfully the Viscount is here to hold him off, after a little speech power, we get to see a part of the fight before taking off to the next stratum; it's probably the best fight scene of the first two games, animation was never Falcom's strong suit, especially with these games who were their first in full 3D, but I feel like they showed quite well here the clash of these forces of nature and the power of each blow.
      - Ok, so now we reached the highest stratum, which is basically a big ascension to the Vermilion throne; actually, the whole dungeon was like this: climbing the floors of the Infernal Castle, but this last stretch is particularly apparent, there's only two ennemies in here, a pillar one, and a big one that can deathblow, can cast Claiomh Solarion, and has a craft called "all creation trembles", quite the ultimate normal enemy XD; I like what Rean says just before the point of no return, especially if Millium is in the party, it really feels like a jab at CS1, because yeah, we DID left the rest of them behind while we dealt with the big shadow thing, so this time, we have to make sure everyone is here for the climax XD; I see that you figured out there's Zemurian ore shards to collect in the dungeon: one on the way in the highest stratum, and the three others at the site of our previous battle, where apparently, they relocated their fights elsewhere since ewe can still hear the sound of batltle, but let's be honest, it's just an excuse to come back to these spot, though in the case of the third stratum, the Viscount and Mcburn caused so much havoc by knocking the pillars that you can't even go any further XD, but anyway, with this, you have what it takes to make a third ultimate weapon for a party member; and to finish, the chest where you got the Zeram Capsule is the last chest of the main story, if you found and opened every chest until now, you get the achievement at this point.
      - and that's it, next time is the grand finale; by this point you already released all the funny moments videos (I lagged behind hard 😅), but I'll continue to write about it, and oh boy are there things to say on those (though maybe not the next one, who'll probably be shorter).

Lowe did mention in Sky SC that his sword was forged using the "divergent laws" and that's why it was able to destroy the barrier the aureole placed around Weissmann. So, Mcburn's power probably has something to do with that whatever it is.

The closest thing to resurrection in Trails so far might've been the literal divine intervention in Madrigal of the White Magnolia, the play Estelle and Joshua helped with, depending on how historically accurate the events depicted are. Beyond that the contenders you have are very specific cases like KeA's multiverse antics or Phantasma which aren't exactly the dead brought back so much as copies.
As a wise man once said, people die when they're killed.

Weapons, I know you finished CS2 a while ago, so when you do get around to CS3 ( no stress btw, take it easy) I strongly recommend playing on nightmare in case you want to know.
CS3 is almost certainly easier than all the previous games before, so without nightmare you might not get the same challenge out of it.

Emma is still CRAP so on easy mode I still used Rean Millium Laura Sarah Fie Jusis to kill EVERYthing here in UNDER 30 SECONDS besides the Valimar bosses here.
