I compared it to the Tuono because I own a Tuono and I'm very familiar with it even if the only thing they have in common is that they are both naked bikes, I understand they are in a different category, a street triple, a fz07 or a monster 821 would have been more appropriate but I haven't drove any of them. When I was looking around for a super naked I was quoted $20000 out the door for the ktm, and to me that is way to expensive, especially when I paid $14500 out the door for the Tuono which to me is a better bike and I emphasize "to me".
Albe's Adv I’m a former 2016 1290 SDR owner and recently pick up the 790 last week. Nothing can touch a 1290 SDR, but it’s crazy power for the street... On the track I feel the 790 has the advantage around the turns; however, the 1290 and/or Tuono would quickly pass the 790 on the straightaways. Great review!
Quickshifter and autoblipper on such a little package. Mostly likely my next bike.
Can't wait for you to review the new 790 adv/R coming out.
Me too 👍
Why would you compare a 790 to a Tuono and why is the 1290 too expensive? Very comparable to other bikes it competes with

Thank you, I agree, even if I think that with a skilled rider on them, the Tuono has an edge over the 1290 and the 790 at the track.
"I'm impressed" Me too
LOL.......
