Mine isn't broken in yet and was received in street mode. Holy shit is this thing fast! It's a challenge to keep the revs below 6500 RPM; for a parallel twin it absolutely demands to be revved and is a pure joy to ride. KTM nailed it with this bike, and delivered huge bang for the buck.
Hey mate. Good video. Nice to hear personal opinion instead of running through specs etc. I ride mostly in city or suburbs. I got bored of my street triple and changed to an xsr900 but with the rough roads around me the geometry and suspension isn’t to my taste. I rode the 790 Duke and I feel it’s a great all round package and exciting at real world speeds. Cheers from the UK!
Looks much better in silver/grey than blazing orange. Much more understated. It's the actual bike that matters much more than the paint job, ....... KTM
Great to hear that you fit on that bike. I am 205 cm so some bikes are to small for me. Probably going to buy this bike when I have my license next month.
intro volume was perfect! just ignore my comment on the z900 vid. this is a good video; you provide a good mix of comparison/ specs/ opinion, and i like your sense of humor. you deserve more subs.
Sill waiting for mine to arrive in November. Currently running a heavily modded 2011 KLR 650 which I will never sell, but having said that the KTM is several orders of magnitude superior to my trusty old KLR in every way.
Finally took possession on Dec. 3rd with the much better looking Akrapovic silencer. Not a hooligan bike? Seriously? Mine isn't even broken in and it's already given voice to my inner hooligan. Even in street mode and limiting the RPM to 6500 this thing can get you into all sorts of trouble. Quite possibly the best parallel twin ever made.
in europe is priced same as the MT09, 300€ more expensive than the z900, and way cheaper than the triple R/RS, 9687€ in my country i think, not sure how manny AUD is that tho, i just bough mine and with few powerparts and onroad (plate and registered and stuff) for 10100€
Why didn't you use the Triumph Speed Triple R or RS as a comparison? the Speed triples and the MT-09 are the logical comparison to the 790 Duke ,whereas the 900RS is like a bus in comparison to these 3.
yonniboy1 well they're still a triple, whereas this is a twin. I've been on a street triple, but haven't ridden a speed triple, so i can't compare what I haven't experienced
Alan Wang #36 the headset I use to record audio has a noise cancelling feature. Great for reducing wind noise, sucky for wanting to hear the bike. Trying to come up with a compromise that will allow both

205 cm?
Plz test the difference between the riding modes more thoroughly in future reviews!

I love the KTM it is really nice bike
The pricing is not an issue, it has tons of technology!
Are you from Australia mate ? Because it costs 8000 or so in Europe and they say it's affordable
Anshuman Shukla yeah I am. It's an affordable bike, but compared to the rest in it's class, it's the priciest

@@midibudu In norway it's the cheapest in it's class, cheaper than the z900, mt09, street triple s, etc.
Yep, in the USA it is $10k which is outstanding deal. You have to go with the Orange!
Wich of them have better brakes mt 09 or ktm

Good video mate but I didn't see many twisties
RealOrbit - Australia gotta work with what you've got sometimes 🤷♂️
6ft 7 inch geez dude you dont need a bike you need a tank.
Hahaha true dude
Feels more raw an d sporty then Mt09 , mt 09 feels more Loke a mx
I'd rather have an XSR900. And I'm pretty sure it would be more reliable.
As an owner of an xsr900, I'd agree with you
If you only ever have to go in a straight line never need to stop and never need actual suspension, mt09/xsr is a good choice 👍
The problem with KTM is their weird styling. Many people are put off by their looks.
Boz yyeh it’s marmite
Nicer than MY FZ-07 but double the Price .. Now they will start making them in China
Why is it so incredibly quiet? Sounds like an electric bike.

That's incredible. Which microphone is it?
Believe me, it sounds great with the stock exhaust! Don't get fooled by a video ;)
Alan Wang #36 it's a sena headset with a bluetooth backpack on the gopro
Cool. Thanks. I'll look into it.
6’7” 😳. U r a giant. 🤷♂️
