The 150-160cc segment has become expensive today and is no longer the value proposition it once was 10-20 years ago. There is a clear lack of sporty, feature packed, and affordable bikes with the exception of Raider and watered down Pulsars. This is why the Xtreme 125R was created. This is what Hero should have said.

I had purchased tvs raider 125 and it's running well. With the 3 valves the pickup is good and with the air and oil cooling system the engine doesn't get overheated in long drive. GTT technology also useful in traffic. Suspension is on mid side both stability and comfort are available. But single channel ABS is a big miss in TVS Raider. By applying front break more and rear break 40 to 50% the breaking will be good without any skidding. Comfortable for families too in long run But the single channel ABS, LED lights and tyres are good in Hero Xtreme 125R
@@motorinc Only first service was done and it went well. I knew one service center of TVS in Hyderabad where there are some qualified technicians. I will go there in case if the service is not good at my place

Im tempted to the idea of owning hassle free, economical bike that looks fine. Overstyled but looks liveable. Especially riding jawa classic through the traffic for 2years, 40km everyday, spending on petrol for no rewarding experience. Ive cone to conclusion thst slow is cool too. Especially at times when affordable products are being taken serious. The jawa ownership is not bad but its not cheap for the experience it gives. It would be an incomplete comment without appreciation of motorinc for top quality conversations. I bought hero Xtreme 125r 3 weeks before and enjoying each and every second I'm riding on it. The handling is excellent since it has wide handlebar and the chasis is so stable that cornering and direction change is so smooth as rose. There is some gear issues here and there, but it's common to all bike from my experience. The initial power is not so thrilling, but the game changes after 5000rpm and overtaking is 🔥🔥. Giving a mileage of around 60 even before 1st service. Engine does take some time to get cool down, but not at all cutting down performance even during long rides. The road presence of the machine is just 🖤🖤, you stop in a traffic and atleast 5 people will look and 1 of them will ask about the price and ride quality. Suspension is so good. Excellent!!, One question- Who is Hero targeting with this one? I mean a youngster having a little budget will always go for a 160cc. Been waiting for the video since I saw the timer on Shumi's Instagram yesterday!❤ As an owner of a TVS Raider, looking at the launch of the Xtreme 125 did come as a surprise as hero's attempt to take on the Raider. I did feel that Hero went a little too overboard with the design, it could've been a bit less janky and busy, because currently it looks like the design is more at emphasis than the performance. The Raider in contrast feels more balanced. The body panels are big but don't make you feel like you're sitting on a baby elephant. Overall, personally, if the design would've been a little more subtle, (and not felt like an attempt to mimic Duke's extra sharp and happening design), it would've been more to my liking, which my sweet baby Raider does extremely well! Motor Inc giving us the realest views and reviews of the vehicle world is why I'll never stop coming here!❤❤
❤ the content!! Can you guys do a comparison video or shorts about the sub 125cc bike or the 150s, mainly about the popular smaller machines, Like the one about the larger motorcycles.

My day was pretty miserable since the start, and I just opened RUclips and saw your video on my timeline and instantly I was relaxed and started to feel a bit better. Keep up the great work, one of the best in the business!!!!
Yup with xtreme 210 and xpulse 210 or 440 their series of bike would be really good I think, but still now hero is trying to be on the budget side of the customers, I want them to build something premium something thats well finished because their chassis suspension and engine are already good enough!
Nicely summed up Shumi, Hero has made a good attempt on Xtreme 125R, I am eagerly waiting for your review after sometime with some real life rides As i am confused between Honda Sp125 and Hero Xtreme 125R
man this is the only motorcycle podcast or even a video from a podcast category that i watch with my 100% attention you guys make the videos look simple yet interesting thats amazing
i am the bike nerd of the family (i am 18 now) and when The Raider just came out, my family was looking for my brother's first bike and I recommended it to my brother because of Shumis vid on Power Drift. since then the bike has held up quite well I think, idk if this is a wide spread issue on raiders or its just on this raider but over big bumps with pilions the main stand scrapes the bump and there are two pannel gaps, this was the first lot so ig you win some you loose some, TVS service in Kolhapur is good but prices are quiet high (haven't gone there myself), also this was the first bike that we both learned how to ride on.
Thanks for the update, Shivaji and glad you're enjoying your ride! We'd suggest you raise the preload on your Raider a few notches. It should stop the scraping
@@motorinc but did they fix this later or something cos our raider was prob from the first lots and if it were a wide spread prob shoudent they increase the preload it in servicing later?
Most mechanics _never_ touch the preload Shivaji. And if you look it up, you don't need a mechanic to raise the preload either.... just do it yourself! With practice it takes just five minutes!
Amazing as usual❤ Please discuss about safety gears. really want an insight on helmets, there are so many brands and so many things to look for it is very confusing. Please I request you guys to have a discussion on safety gears and specially helmets.
Funnily the biggest issue I had heard from 4 people who own tvs raider was it hits the bottom on potholes and breakers.....after driving it, it was surprisingly a actual thing (not a issue for me but I get people getting spiky about it especially if they use it as workhorse), there are some odd issues as long term drive showed for some I hope hero does little better with xtreme and well is more refined, fingers crossed when it lands Thanks for content, enjoyed it as I was cooking.
Based on your knowledge in between TVS Raider vs Hero Xtreme 125r which one is best? I am planning buy anyone from this models. Which one is best for all rounder.
Ive owned one of the first lot of bumble bee raider and its hasnt let me down ! The pickup, the milege and comfort is been great ! Although i faced issue with some parts in early stages ( faulty gear postion indicator, issues with odo) but after persisting with service center they did it after dropping mail to HQ and your comment to share details helped me do the job.ive followed shumis advice of grips and air pressure and it does work wonder! Iam thinking of upgrading,Can you suggest what next to upgrade? Iam thinking of 1st gen duke 390 / 200
SHUMI, Please make a podcast on Xtreme 160R 4v ... like its transition from 160r 2v to 4v standard & Pro ... I'm watching your video from late 6-7 years back when you did a video of Pulsar LS135 for ICN (i guess) .. Please do this ASAP ... BTW love ur podcast & vdo
Throwing a wildcard out there. Can you please do a 125cc scooter round up as the space is getting heated up. If not please do the upcoming 160cc scooter class. Im still going to get my scrambler 400x but waiting for a year as per your recommendation.
What I don't understand about Hero is that they have owned EBR for quite some time and they did nothing with it. Absolutely nothing with it. Hero to me is a confused company, they still have not figured out what the youth of India wants. Bajaj on the other hand figured it out with first gen pulsars. TVS with their apache series. Next time you see a Karizma R, check the tyre size of that thing. I mean Discover had fatter tyres than that.
Is the Kickstart necessary for a motorcycle? The major argument coming between the Raider and Xtreme 125 is the Kickstart thing. I think the Raider is better as TVS didn't go extreme with their design😅 . And mom could sit sideways wearing a saree on the Raider. Pillion seat on the Raider seems more functional than the one on xtreme. But it doesn't have a kickstart. Is that something we should worry about ? Is kickstart really that important in a bike ? I have never owned a motorcycle and I'm confused. Please answer.
@@motorinc wow instant reply on a 2 month old video. That's why I love you guys. Would you mind explaining why ? What has changed now that we don't need Kickstart anymore? Sorry if this is basic stuff, I'm a noob 😅
Still sp125 is the best in class. In terms of reliable and engine. My friend has sp125 I can say two things that is totally bad about First is headlight. You can say those are just DRL only when full dark then you fill something is glowing 😅 Second is groung clearence not bad so much but approx 3person with almost 75kg each has raiding then at 25 to 30 kmph centerstand touching the speed braker, if slowly crossing it at 11 to 15 kmph then no issues. Milage is too good with perion at city both are atmost 80 to 85 kg getting 60 milage speed 35 - 40 kmph 😊
9 mins?? WTH is that? OEMs should be penalized. That might be a little dramatic but seriously, they should not make an event if they cant arrange for at least a 30 min ride for each of the journos. Horrible from Hero. On the other hand, kudos to Shumi for being able to understand the bike so much in such a short time.
Hey shumi and kartik i absolutely loved this podcast/summary , i just wanted to have an elaborated video on hero xtreme 160r 4v as i saw some of the articles tellin 160 of the year and all ... Im do tracking this bike since its launch but your opinion and views does makes it count for me 😊
I came to know that term insurance claim got rejected as he was riding bike whose engine capacity is more than 150CC. Now all 150 cc bikes are replaced by 160cc. Why bike manufacturers are doing this?
For the initial 2 minutes i was focusing on bike review, then i realised both of them are talking so serious..then till 8th minute i was waiting for someone to smile,n finally i saw the ''Arora"smile 😂.. shumi bhai in his reviews is so focused and serious but not on 'car' reviews 😅 Is the bike so bad or you guys just trying to make a short video
I think as you have ridden all sorts of bike a 125 "commuter" doesn't really excited you and it shows in the review. Something like a fighter pilot reviewing a bus.
I own a Gixxer 250. If I had a garage I'd probably get this one for commuting purposes. But since that's not possible I'll stick to my one bike for life mantra 😢
From the side it looks great, and i thought thats a pretty 125cc. But then i realised those drls on the face that resemble eyes with those grinning headlights. Happy Halloween 🎃 👹in February 😂
I have heard these days that quality of hero xtremes have gone down and pulsars are better product compared to them. I was opinion that pulsars and Bajaj start to rattle after 2-3 years. What's your take on this ?
Almost all bikes can, Aman. But will you be comfortable on such long distances is a more subjective thing with many factors, including suspension, riding style, how you sit and how fast you like to ride. As Shumi said, he didn't get a change to check out the suspension but the promise is good for sure!
I am early for something for a change , love the attention to non-uncle commuters , also thanks to the motorinc team for the efforts one of the highest quality reviews I trust.
I have shown my father both raider 125 and xtreme 125 my father loved the raider but he says the only problem with raider is kick so we are now thinking of getting xtreme 125
Kick? As in because it's not there? More and more bike will not have a kick starter - we would try to change your father's mind to "just ignore whether it's there or not"
I think Bigger would help this bike and make more practical for daily use. Coz a person who will buy this definitely might be the one who want to taste the sportyness of bikes but can't afford to have a bike which is less fuel efficient. Person might be working hard for savings as well but need practicality too. You guys need to save mavrick from keyboard warriors and vlogger noob reviewers. I think it got the performance in it segment as it would be priced less than x440. Competing hunter 350 n ol. Which i personally found might have bit more of a punch and top speed. We bought 2023 xpulse 2004v last year. Personally that was our first hero bike and im impressed by its overall. Been trying some of offroading stuff. Rode it like 100kmph where i can't even think to ride other bikes even dominar 400. Suspension is just so great for Indian roads. We went on ride i was keeping up with ktm 390 n benelli 300 with xpulse. Haha idk maybe i don't have to think much about speed breaker n bad roads. But on highway i found it should have lil bit more power it can become quite a good touring bike as well. So now we are waiting for xpulse 400. Engine also seems refined easy to ride good fuel economy for daily ride. We abused xpulse like whole bike is in air on ramp kind of offroading stuff. I just stand up and pass all the underconstructed roads at 90 people in cars just looking like damn i looks so easy for that guy in such bad roads😂😂 due to speed breakers i got better time from gurgaon to rohtak on xpulse thn ninja 300. But i hate hyundai kia honking guys who thinks they have sports car. So just need a lil bit of top speed. Coz they bother you till the 125kmph. After that they are scared to drive them fast. Most of them. Algorithm for India roads😂
The duke and the rc 125 actually have a purpose imo. It's just for the looks, Those who can't afford the 390s or 200s can buy the 125s and somewhat feel like they are riding a big premium bike. Which is not wrong at all, I mean yes it's good for some people but In my openion the 125s are the main reason of KTMs downfall, they should have differentiated in terms of design.
No Power Rangers were harmed (hopefully) in making that headlamp
🤣
I like the bike design but the headlight they just put maestro 125 headlight
Bumblebee?
You are a good bot, very good 🥲😂
Hero sucks at the front visor 😂😂

I'm assuming you are purely talking about looks.
When it comes it will be bang on

We've responded to your other comment @sneakybinders
Xtreme 160, Karizma XMR, Xtreme 125 and Mavrick 440... Hero is really coming with a bang and its good to see..
But why 16mins only??
Yup with xtreme 210 and xpulse 210 or 440 their series of bike would be really good I think, but still now hero is trying to be on the budget side of the customers, I want them to build something premium something thats well finished because their chassis suspension and engine are already good enough!
@@techyrh7780ya true.. they have 2 new engines with them to play..
Honestly, Siman, it was too brief a ride so we just don't have more to say!
@@motorinc you need to compensate us with 3 videos next week 😅😅
@@Siman_Shrestha07 don't worry, they have a lot more coming!!. The mavrick, Husqvarnas I am really excited!
Finally shumi is reviewing bike under my budget 😅❤
Can't wait to see the episode of Mavrick 440
Waiting for actual city ride review of xtreme 125r.
This looks better than fzs.
Tbh every bike looks better than the fzs, no hate.
i have fzs😃
🤣
WoW I didn't know a conversation can be this soothing and fun to watch. Highly impressed
Nicely summed up Shumi, Hero has made a good attempt on Xtreme 125R, I am eagerly waiting for your review after sometime with some real life rides
As i am confused between Honda Sp125 and Hero Xtreme 125R
Really hope that all of the manufactures package all their motorcycles with Dual-Channel ABS as standard...
Agreed @RevsAndWheels! But would people be okay with the increased costs though?
@@motorinc That would really be a subjective matter but ideally they should be ready to make that trade-off for increased safety...
cb 300r for 2.8L . we waiting a review on that bike
man this is the only motorcycle podcast or even a video from a podcast category that i watch with my 100% attention
you guys make the videos look simple yet interesting
thats amazing
i am the bike nerd of the family (i am 18 now) and when The Raider just came out, my family was looking for my brother's first bike and I recommended it to my brother because of Shumis vid on Power Drift.
since then the bike has held up quite well I think, idk if this is a wide spread issue on raiders or its just on this raider but over big bumps with pilions the main stand scrapes the bump and there are two pannel gaps, this was the first lot so ig you win some you loose some, TVS service in Kolhapur is good but prices are quiet high (haven't gone there myself), also this was the first bike that we both learned how to ride on.
Amazing as usual❤
Please discuss about safety gears. really want an insight on helmets, there are so many brands and so many things to look for it is very confusing. Please I request you guys to have a discussion on safety gears and specially helmets.
We are working on this, Faizal!
eagerly waiting❤
@@motorinc
I was waiting for you to update on this topic as I am planning on buying one. Will soon update if I get one. Thanks for this video. 💥💥💥💥
Funnily the biggest issue I had heard from 4 people who own tvs raider was it hits the bottom on potholes and breakers.....after driving it, it was surprisingly a actual thing (not a issue for me but I get people getting spiky about it especially if they use it as workhorse), there are some odd issues as long term drive showed for some
I hope hero does little better with xtreme and well is more refined, fingers crossed when it lands
Thanks for content, enjoyed it as I was cooking.
You did not mention about the height, how will different height riders feel riding this vehicle.
Based on your knowledge in between TVS Raider vs Hero Xtreme 125r which one is best?
I am planning buy anyone from this models. Which one is best for all rounder.
What did you buy?
Ive owned one of the first lot of bumble bee raider and its hasnt let me down ! The pickup, the milege and comfort is been great ! Although i faced issue with some parts in early stages ( faulty gear postion indicator, issues with odo) but after persisting with service center they did it after dropping mail to HQ and your comment to share details helped me do the job.ive followed shumis advice of grips and air pressure and it does work wonder! Iam thinking of upgrading,Can you suggest what next to upgrade? Iam thinking of 1st gen duke 390 / 200
Kindly give me a suggestion of beneli 252r is that the best bike for that price range & performance
Aap log pls hindi mai bhi bolie...kafi log aise bhi hote hai jinhe shayad na samjha ata ho..sochna zarur..
Hindi par kaam chal raha hai. Jaise hi hum is quality ke videos regularly hindi mein bana sakenge, aap unhe yahan dekh sakenge!
not sure how big the 125cc market is in india as hero dominates 100-125cc , bajaj dominates 125-250cc tvs also has good market in 125-225cc 😢😢
125s? Easy. Family, get Access. Fun? Get Ntorq. 😊
Kindly do the TVS Raider detailed review.
The No Non-Sense channel on Automobiles. Very crisp and clear reviews.
Thanks a ton! We'll pass your compliments on to the team!
No it is not, Ash. The kickstart is _not_ important anymore.
@@motorinc wow instant reply on a 2 month old video. That's why I love you guys. Would you mind explaining why ? What has changed now that we don't need Kickstart anymore? Sorry if this is basic stuff, I'm a noob 😅
The starter motors are reliable - you'll never really need to kickstart your 2-wheeler unless you let the battery die.
@@motorinc Ok, I get it now. Thanks 🙏
Still sp125 is the best in class. In terms of reliable and engine. My friend has sp125 I can say two things that is totally bad about
First is headlight. You can say those are just DRL only when full dark then you fill something is glowing 😅
Second is groung clearence not bad so much but approx 3person with almost 75kg each has raiding then at 25 to 30 kmph centerstand touching the speed braker, if slowly crossing it at 11 to 15 kmph then no issues. Milage is too good with perion at city both are atmost 80 to 85 kg getting 60 milage speed 35 - 40 kmph 😊
Thank you for answering whatever question I had asked on the shorts.
This video simplifies things for me.
Im do tracking this bike since its launch but your opinion and views does makes it count for me 😊
Request noted, Ayush!
Yussss, me too waiting
I came to know that term insurance claim got rejected as he was riding bike whose engine capacity is more than 150CC. Now all 150 cc bikes are replaced by 160cc. Why bike manufacturers are doing this?
For the initial 2 minutes i was focusing on bike review, then i realised both of them are talking so serious..then till 8th minute i was waiting for someone to smile,n finally i saw the ''Arora"smile 😂.. shumi bhai in his reviews is so focused and serious but not on 'car' reviews 😅
Is the bike so bad or you guys just trying to make a short video
The only thing i want from hero in karizma xmr and xtreme 125 r is SPLIT THOSE DAMN HEADLAMPS.
Conjoint headlamps feel just odd.
Question: Who can on this Earth can make an involving conversation even on an ordinary 125cc motorcycle?
Answer: Shumi and Kartikeya can 😂❤
I personally feel maybe the maverick could have had few styling elements from the xtreme 125 since it looks very boring and more of a HD ripoff.
Need an update as u have mentioned that u will do a comparison of this with TVS Raider. It's been 6 months and there is no comparison.
Left everything and came back #Again&Again
Thank you so much! We hope you enjoyed this super short episode!
TVS Raider have lot of issues. Main one is clutch and gare shifting 😢. So much irritating. I drove my friend bike.
I think they took the inspiration from Z900 but it turn out like a Power rangers Bike 😅
Can it do long rides like 150 km kilo meter daily commute ?? .
Awesome! Glad we can help, Aditya!
Loved the 125R look! Its bang on beautiful imho
This was like the 125 second review! 😅 matches with xtreme 125 … quick gun murugan!!!!😂
Kartikeyas voice seems to stuck in Eco mode compared to earlier videos in other publication. Please make him to switch Sports mode.
90s was the age of 125s- rxg,rxz,shaolin, kb125, ybr125, yd125,asserting dominance over the 100ccs
If it actually does give 66kmpl . Then its the best 125cc bike in india for sure
You know you're in for a lesson when Prof. Shumi's razor sharp beard enters the set. 🤭😁

I just want bajaj to update rs200
Every other big indian brands are updating their bikes
At the price of 350, hero is offering a 440. That is an extremely attractive offer.
I wanna get this bike and it's nice for MotorInc to do videos in the lower capacity segment
Thanks for the update blvo1! Yes, we do think the larger size is an asset for the Xtreme!
I own this bike it is a good sport naked bike with some quality issues but yeah it is a good bike if y u ride solo
Couldn't agree more!
