I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle ruclips.net/user/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.
Great design. Just needs stronger wire. Possums, raccoons foxes coyotes bears whatever your local carnivore is can rip right through that chicken wire.
Looking forward to the follow up pictures with the chickens. This must be for just two chickens? Is there a roosting bar for them?
It’s rather on the small side, but it would work well for no more than four birds.
Would be a great design to quarantine sick or ailing birds, or to house chicks before they’re ready to join adult chickens if you already have some.
adding a chicken tunnel out of it would work wonderfully!
@@anneard1674 yes, the chickens would definitely need more room during the day, that’s for sure.
Yes it's only designed for a few birds. Great idea about a great place to keep birds separate for any reason!
Well done as always. Extra points for pointing out tips you discovered as you built it. Ie finishing the wood before adding chicken wire.🛠💪👍🐔 🐓🐣🐥
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
I love the simplicity of the design. I'm planning to get just a couple of laying hens and this design would be perfect. I will beef it up with stronger wire though. Thanks for the design.
Great, I'd love to see what you build!
Nice design! We already added a bigger coop that's sturdy and has a good roof. Wanted metal framing to keep the dogs out.
That's great!
Hi Ana! I’m not a chicken person (banties are ok) but the coop is a lovely piece of furniture all by itself.
Thanks for another winner!
Thanks Amanda, glad you like it!
another practical cool thing to build...thank you Ana
Glad you like it Kathleen, thanks!
I'm going to build this for my 12 year old grandson for Christmas
how did that came ? Was he happy ? thinking the same for my 12 year old son, he's birthday is coming next month!
Why would you want to put your grandson in a chicken coop? 😂😂🤣🤣
Very nice! This would be great for transition from chicks to adults. That in-between age. Are you getting chickens?
Hi Anna, lovely job and ideas.
I would compliment your handiwork with 1/4 coated hard wire instead of chicken wire for durability and chicken security again predators.
Thanks for watching and apprciate the tip!
Thank you Ana ❤
Thanks for watching!
Get remnant of sheet vinyl flooring for the floor of the coop. It will make it easier to clean and extend the life of the wood. 💖🌞🌵😷
Great tip!
Now a none fancy chicken coop🎉.
You can have the chicken live on the porch where you can enjoy their lovely voices and hear the rooster crowing❤.
Thanks for watching!
What a great design, I'm sure a lot of people will be making this.
Thank you!
Nice job. Can be used for a couple cats also. I have a lot of squirrels, that coop could be modified a bit as a maze to video them getting food and playing around in it. (People watch that stuff.) No trapping. Easy in easy out. You probably don't have squirrels in Alaska. I watch a couple shows on Alaska, Tougher in Alaska and Ice Road Truckers. Nope. Too cold for this dude......and squirrels.
Squirrels are absolutely delicious!
Thanks for watching, we do have squirrels up here!
Parabéns pelo projeto,Ana white você é muito inteligente .
This would be awesome with a slope out for my bunny! Can't wait for the British weather to get better so I can start some of these lovely projects.
That's a great idea!
Ana, thank goodness you had all that help from Everly drilling the chicken coop. 💕 Fun project for the whole family.
Yes, she's a great little helper, thank you!
This is lovely!😊
Thank you! 😊
Vou construir um pequeno e amei as dicas
I love it thank you
Thank you!
thank you for sharing
Thanks for watching!
nice and practical! will give it a try 👍
Great!
Great details….👍
Thanks!
You are a good designer. I would upgrade the chicken wire to 1/4 inch galvanized hardware cloth to keep out racoons that could chew through the lighter chicken wire.
Thanks for the tip!
Nice!
Thanks for the visit!
Great coop, very nicely designed from the outside. You’ll need to add a roosting bar for them to sleep and also move the nesting boxes to the bottom floor. They always need to roost above the boxes or they will sleep in the boxes and you don’t want that! 💩🤢🥚
Thanks!
Good morning Anna, I’ve been just starting out and your videos are a huge help and profit for me!
I’ve never built anything like this but intriguing to see if I could make it and sell it. How much would you sell something like this?
Love this design! thank you for sharing!!
I was wondering if you can provide the dimensions of the plywood you used in the video? as much as i would like to use picket fence, our buddget was planned for a T1-11 exterior siding
😅 also i noticed in the plan it didn't have that additional 2x2 at 55" in the enclosed run/chicken bedroom in the middle like the video, it seemed like the two 2x2 at 8ft (in the shopping list) fits just enough for the two 55" attached to the frame and the 34 1/8" ?? or did i miscalculate the amount of wood?

Good design for small number of birds...looks like a warm zone. Any designs for larger coop that can withstand colder temps?
Check out this post for more coop plans www.ana-white.com/node/78561
I included some tips about insulating in the plan post too www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/small-modern-chicken-coop

@@AnaWhiteDIY Thanks!! ♥😊
How many chickens do you recommend for this coop? It's a beautiful coop!
Thank you
2-4 chickens
Ana! Thank you for this beautiful plan! As a stay at home mom I made a lot of pieces of furniture with your plans over the past 3 years. Now I want to take my little business to the next level and start making vanities. Please make one of those trendy bathroom vanities. I know you have several vanity plans on your website but it’d be nice to see more of those. Pretty Please!!!!❤❤❤
That's fantastic, I'll keep that in mind!
👍🏼❤
Ana, this is a great coop! Thanks for the video. Quick Question: I added a video with my free plans (for one of the chicken coops I designed about 10 years ago), and no one has barely seen it on youtube! What's your SECRET to get the word out?
There are no secret tricks. Just keep grinding and put out good content!
Hi Ana I want to make storage units under my staircase I am based in London if you have any videos can you kindly share the link with me please thanks
You need to use Hardware cloth on the coop, as if foxes come by an chickens poke their heads through the chicken wire the fox/s will bite off the chickens heads. How do I know this my neighbour raised chickens to sell his eggs, and one night a fox came and bit of heads of chickens, many, many chickens.
I really like the look and design of this chicken coop, but when I tried to download the free plans for it my computer was taken over by One Launch . Is there a way to get the plans without One Launch ?
Please email anawhitesite@gmail.com and we'll send them directly!
Also. Always best to put nesting boxes extended out from the coop. If you put them inside they will nest under the nesting box also and you don’t want them nesting on the floor. Don’t do it this way in the video.
Can you please tell me the brand and color of the stain/paint please?
Sherwinn Williams “blue shadow” water based semi transparent
How many chickens will that chicken coop accommodate
2-4
They need a roosting bar for night time?
A roosting bar would be a great addition!
What's the maximum amount of chickens that can be housed in this coop design?
2-4 chickens, here is the step by step plan www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/small-modern-chicken-coop
@@AnaWhiteDIY thank you for your response.
Does anybody know how many chickens this holds?
2-4 chickens, here is the free plan www.ana-white.com/woodworking-projects/small-modern-chicken-coop
You need ventilation. You’ll wind up with sick chickens.
there's no link to download this you have to cut and paste the pics its very time consuming.
Please email anawhitesite@gmail.com, we are happy to email the plans!
🤔 You might want to rethink that nesting box. Eggs roll...
