It’s an amazing build. Unfortunately it’s over built and will likely need relocated for one reason or another in the next few years. The ground will become extremely toxic from their poop in a few years. Chickens aren’t meant to be cooped in one location. Hope that thing is moveable but it doesn’t look like it. Unfortunately not so genius, overbuilding is a bit stupid too.

That is without doubt one of the best diy coop builds i have seen so far. Im looking to modify an existing coop to add in a hen house. Looking at something very similar, fantastic tutorial there.
Beautiful work, one suggestion would be to wrap the roost bars with jute twine to help protect against bumblefoot and give them a more realistic branch feel. I use them in my coop with no problems, other than that a very nice coop.
I built this about 6 months ago. I wish you could post an update of the coop to see what it looks like now. Mine has evolved quickly to adding an outside annex covered with clear plastic roofing material. Thank you for the wonderful idea.

Great work Sir! My dad used to raise homing pigeons and he made a pigeon coop similiar to yours so your video brought back a lot of memories of my childhood...Thanks!
Excellent project my friend, perfect. Only one thing I would change it's the removable drain cork for the flush. Just add a 90° and lead it outside the coop.
Absolutely beautiful coop, though one thing I would adjust is giving the chooks a wider flatter roost, having a round one that’s thinner can cause unnecessary pressure on their feet and when it’s cold it’s harder for them to cover their toes with their feathers. A 2x4 with the 4in side up is usually what’s recommended.
I love the coop. You're craftsmanship is impeccable. I learned a lot of new things just watching you're vlog. Looking forward in watching more videos. Thank you.

Now a YEAR after I copied your coop in my back yard. I added two feet inside the roosting aread about two months ago and also added 8 feet of covered but meshed and enclosed space about 3 feet high so they can get out into the sun. I also added a nursery with food and water and a nesting room for a broody hen who is now raising two new Easter Egger chicks for me. Thanks again for the great plan.
