lindor was not hitting under .200 by the end of the first half??? by the all-star break he was ranked the 6th most valuable player in the NL by fWAR, was rated to be one of the most effective first inning lead-off hitters, and was widely considered to be the biggest all-star team snub in baseball. (something he has statistically been three years in a row though this season is probably the most egregious) ohtani had waaaay too magical of a season this year for people to feel the need to pretend lindor's season was significantly worse than it actually was to try and make shohei look better in comparison lol. lindor carried his team from 10+ games under .500 to a nlcs berth and was insanely clutch for them in the second half. dude was basically a part of every big moment for his team in september and october all while playing elite defense. he'll come in second for mvp and he'll deserve every flower he gets for it.
