Great video on a solid baseball player. I remember yelling at my TV / Roberts when he got pulled when he was so close to a no-no. Then Roberts, out of guilt, lets him pitch in a game where he allows a HR to take away his second no-no attempt.
In 2018, I bet $8,000 for the Dodgers to win and Rich Hill was on the mound for them pitching. They were facing the Dbacks. He was having a great season that year. He got rocked that game and the dodgers lost 8-1. One of my worst bets and I use to bet in the thousands easily. I still love Rich Hill.
I know hitting isn't the same as pitching but it always impressed me that Eddie Murray only learned to switch hit in the minors, likely the second greatest switch hitter of all time and you didn't learn it until he was 20
My only regret about Dick Mountain being on the Dodgers was not only did they fail to give him a ring, they couldn't even give him a perfect game...TWICE!
There is a player that I consider to be kinda the twin of Rich Hill. Charlie Morton, both rely heavy on their curveball, both were "failed" MLP pitchers until their 30s, and then suddenly something clicked for them and when no one expected them to have any more left in them, they revived their careers, and now both are going on to play for a lot longer than anyone ever expected with Morton already being 40 as well. Morton's highs and lows aren't as extreme as Hill but still an interesting case
He's gonna play baseball til he's 90- Deadpool if he talked about Rich Hill And he probably will play baseball til he's 90 or til his arm falls off whichever happens first
Relief pitcher is the best job in baseball. It's like being a kicker in football. You can play well into your 40s because you just don't appear in that many games, and often it's just for an inning. I remember guys like Jesse Orosco who pitched from the late 80s to the early 00s and were also well in their 40s.
Side note. His card in The Show with both Sox Captain boosts is kinda decent in ranked. Pretty much everything has 99 movement. Except one that has like a 90ish.
I was wondering how that works. Everyone has a 99 card now so it's hard to differentiate who's cards are actually 99 level good. Seems like some 99's are deadly others might as well be silver/gold cards
Can’t have the duck without the mountain is by far my favorite quote I think of all time or at least in sports… I have been watching for a long time I am officially subscribing… thank whomever wrote your script for my sub keep up the great videos btw it’s a big deal because I don’t sub often but watch daily so any sub I give is earned unless my son or daughter did it haha cheers
Every Dodger fan yelling in unison... NOOOOO and it was game 2. Asking Jansen to get more than 3 outs was the mistake because he burned through the pen. Oh sorry you meant 2018...but yeah Roberts did it in 2018 too...oh well, 2018 I thought the Dodgers didn't have a chance.
He gave us more agony than joy in La La Land, tell ya that for free. 😮💨🤦♂️ We called him “Bitch Blister” … or “Hangnail” … anything would keep him from starting those years. 🤷♂️
This guy has some bad championship luck. Was on the Red Sox in between the years they won the World Series, left the Dodgers the year before they won the 2020 WS. He's been on some good teams, but he always tend to be on them in the years they don't contend or don't win it all.
RIP Brooks🙏
Dodger Legend. King of D Mountain, The Phoenix. Dude is packing a salt water steamer. One of my favorite players to watch run. Hustles.
Dick Mountain? Was not expecting that. At all……Love it.
Its also because he's packing a Naval Drifter.

Rich Hill is becoming the modern day Jamie Moyer
“Why does he refuse to retire?” Because he loves the game. It’s his life’s work that has a meaning to him none of us can understand.

The legend of Jamie Moyer lives on.

Former MLB lefty pitcher Denys Reyes was also a natural righty, but changed up as a kid in imitation of Fernando Valenzuela.
Similar to Jamie Moyer

Rich Hill?
Rich Hill is a legend! Great player, outstanding person.
Ok we need Big Sexy to come out of retirement to give him a run for his money
Love the vids keep them up
Thank you for watching, Cap🫡

Haha I'm honored! Seriously! Thank you for your support. Glad you got a laugh
Make a video about Billy Wagner next
if only Roberts didn’t pull him in game 4 😔

I say we get more Dick Mountain in MLB cause there’s still like 3 numbers between 0 and 99 he hasn’t played worn yet.
Offseason iTalk > In season iTalk

I really, really hope he sees this video about himself.

Well I hope the dodgers give him a ring before he retire
Hi
What's up!
I'd say Dick Mound would be a better name considering he's a pitcher
If teams still want him, good for him.
Not the Yankees he will be bang up worse than garrit Cole
Jaime Moyer fears this man
Old😊
You mean last? Hahaha
Came here to see people cry about three second political jokes. No luck, now sad.
