  • I ran Pennington Flash today. I finish 9th and got 21:36. Last time I ran this event was in 2022.
Thanks for watching and welcome to new and old subscribers. I would like to thank the volunteers cheering us on.
It was an awesome event. I think I slipped during the run, it was a really muddy run. I just said to my wife "I had a mud bath", she disagrees.
I decided to cycle from Bolton to Pennington Flash which took me an hour and then an hour back. I recommend cycling to events for anyone who wants a challenge.
Peel Park next week, if cancelled I’ll run Clerance.

Looks more like Pennington Splash Mark!! A nice course, those long uphill sections are energy sapping. Good time in the circumstances.

Was indeed a mudbath. Was interesting that some people avoided the paths when they must have known it would be muddy. Why run it at all in that case! Well done on your good time.

Great vid especially for someone like me who’s curious about park runs. Can I ask, what sort of running trainers you wear for this sort of weather? There’s a lot of mud and water. Thanks!

I recommend that you buy trail shoes and running shoes. I usually wear Under Armour, New Balance, or anything that is light weight.
Thanks for watching!! It’s always good to record runs as a keepsake and knowing what the route is like in real time.

I haven't run there yet, but I do think it looks like a nice course. One or two tricky hills though. Well done for running that time with extra kudos for doing it after a long bike ride.

Thanks, yeah the hills were challenging. The third lap was the worst.

Well done for sticking it out. I might be aiming for a PB attempt at the start of next month at Alexandra Park. Theres is about 2ft of elevation change in the whole course so it's good for fast run times.

Thank you @@TheRegularRunner I would also like to thank you and everyone because a few weeks ago I was bummed out about Macclesfield.
I’ll have a look in to Alexandra Park, it has been awhile since the last event. I am looking at getting faster times.

It's honestly my pleasure! We all have good days and bad, but you still got out there and finished even with a stitch. Theres always the option to go back and do it again some day.
