Thanks... I've already ordered a Large and hope that at least the metal part is not too big for me. I do leather craft and sewing, so I'd be OK to trim the soft bits a tinch if need be.
Thanks for this. Been shooting just shy of 2 months with a glove I got off Amazon, and was thinking of giving a tab a try. I shoot 3 under so looking at a Decut Barbi but wanted to know what size to get. Having seen the reviews this video has helped massively as I was going to get medium as well. Turns out I'm between M and L.
Your videos have been very useful in helping me figure out which size Decut Hock 3 tab I need. I bought both a medium and a large for the very same reasons you have mentioned and may be reverting to using the medium. Now I am thinking about trying the Decut RUGB2.
Thanks for this. I'm a re-new archer. After a 30 year hiatus I just started again( if I'm doing something right it's because I've done it before and if I'm doing it wrong it's because it's been 30 years..) I get pretty good groups from 20 metres with my bare fingers but struggle hitting the target at the same distance using a tab.. maby I just got the wrong size?
Thanks for the video. That was quite interesting. I was wondering that the hand size is more than just the finger length. I have long fingers and I still find the medium size KSL tab right for me. My friend's fingers are shorter than mine, but his hands are wider and fatter, and he's using large size of the same KSL tab. I have tried his tab, and it feels a bit clumsy, but in theory, I could use it. My medium tab looks ridiculously small in his hand though, even with his shorter than mine fingers. Have you by the way tried your tab without than pinky support? I have a little hard time understanding the point of it, since it's one more thing which can add tension to the muscles when you have to hold your pinky on it, and at worst it can torque the tab in your hand. What do you think?
I have thought about not using the 'pinky' support. I have shot without using it and it feels strange to me now. I know a lot of top archers don't use them, instead they curl their little finger under (especially Brady E.). I think it's important to get the pinky support in the correct position. Maybe it's something I need to keep testing out. Thanks for the comment. Daniel
Sorry about that. It didn't like the spaces in the filename. I have now corrected the description URL. Here it is: www.archeryblog.co.uk/documents/Fivics%20Finger%20Tab%20Size%20Guide.pdf
Hello. I printed off the PDF template file but it only filled three quarters of the page so when I put my hand down it was massively over even the XL size !! SO I had to past it on to a Word document and resize it . SO ENSURE THAT THE BASE LINE IS NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE AND TITLE NEAR THE TOP. No doubt this is just a printer setting somewhere ???
I just checked it again, it seems ok on screen for me in Adobe reader in the browser, but I have not printed it out for a while. Maybe it is a printer setting.
I did, and I've actually gone back to the medium size, as i can't get used to the large one. I did also find out that Sjef also uses a medium sized tab and has big hands and should really be a large. So i guess like everything else its personal preference.
@@ArcheryblogUk cool I only ask because I shoot traditional and just went to a tab and have big hands and got the medium looks small but I'm shooting good so I'll probably stick with it
I copied the size chart. I have a relatively small hand and the chart indicates an XL..the largest size. So....if I am an XL what size do actually bigger hands get?
A4 piece of leather? I don't know, but I ended up going back to my medium, even though the chart said I was a large. I did buy a large, but never really got used to it.

Glad I could help!
Brilliant. Thank you.
You're welcome.

Your video is gone and I can not find it anywhere from the link you provided. Is it somewhere else by any chance?

Did you shoot well with the medium size all those years?
I did, and I've actually gone back to the medium size, as i can't get used to the large one. I did also find out that Sjef also uses a medium sized tab and has big hands and should really be a large. So i guess like everything else its personal preference.

Chart means nothing when you order a large and they send a medium.
there is nothing here about tabs checked a dozen times
