I love this. I kind of hated Murphy at the start of season one but as the show goes on you realize he's a little shit because he's hiding his emotions, the first time you see him open up is to Raven when he tells her he basically blames himself for his father getting floated since his father was caught stealing medicine for him when he was younger, it really puts his behavior into perspective because you realize he's acting out because he's probably scared just like everyone else

Murphy is only a fighter because he had no choice. Alex Murphy is dead, Murphy's mom is dead. While we never know Murphy's age at the time, it can't be too much earlier than the pilot episode (so he's like 15 or 16).
Murphy hated Wells and gets banished for killing him (even though he didn't). Jaha made Murphy a fighter.

Honestly I'm really enjoying it! It's much better than season 5. I loved season 5 but it did have some faults (too much focus on Octavia, storyline being stretched out a little bit much) but I feel like those are corrected in season 6 and they're coming up with fresh and interesting ideas. I'm loving it so far!
