"At one point I had five hats, but I put all but one of them back."
This is too relatable and I completely understand. I too am a vintage hat fiend. I would have gotten the same one. It's absolutely stunning!
I think I'm going to have to go back and rescue a couple of them. #nohatleftbehind
Reminds me of my 'vintage shopping days". One shop had a heck of a salesperson who'd measure & fit you, select outfits and dress you completely, from hat to handbag. She taught me how to use a fancy vintage scarf and turn it into the 'blouse' for a suit (works if you don't take the jacket off... ever) and fasten it with a brooch. My chosen decades for work clothes were the 1930s to 1940s. My nightwear was 20s to 30s.
Hello, Jennifer - from the UK. Thank you for sharing your explorations of those beautiful booths. Pink and turquoise forever!
I'm so glad you liked it! Yessss...give us all the turquoise and pink!
“And she pink!” Your videos make me so happy, thank you! 💖
I don't have the time to watch right now. Just here to tell you, how amazing this green dress looks on you. I oooohed, when the preview started. Looking forward to watching later!
Awwww...well thank you doll! ❤️❤️❤️
Hello from the UK, Wales to be exact, I love your videos, you were one of the first people I found here when I began my vintage journey and you were one of the first to help me style my hair and get back into sewing!!, so thank you very much. I do miss your hair tutorials and it would be great to see one again????? Please xxx
Thank you for this video! It's just like being with you on an antique haul. Also gives me a few more ideas for my new flat which I plan to decorate in art deco (the living room) and mid-century modern (the kitchen). The Anchor Hocking bowl would make a good addition there as well ;)
Oh, and so apparently this sleep prayer is *not* originally by Metallica, ehem. I see...
I cheered when I saw you went back for those pictures! They are PERFECT in your house!!
I KNEW I heard someone tell me to go back! ❤️
Oh my lawd! That green polka dot dress is a dream on you! 💚💚. One of my favorite past times is antiquing. So many adorable things. That white hat with the dripping flowers is stunning!!!!! Your kitchen is so cute. I collect all the hand vases. Lefton, Relco, Napco, Ucagco…I love that you took us out shopping with you. Love your finds
Aw thanks! ❤️ It is just such a fun way to spend the weekend. I can see my hand vase collection growing ALOT. lol
I wondered if I really wanted to watch this video, because I'm not a great fan of vintage pieces. I will never wonder again about your shopping videos! I had a fantastic vicarious time with you (because you are able to make me feel as though I'm right there 😉). All the pieces you got are soooooo special, especially the little hat and the wall art.
Thank you for a very enjoyable video.
Yay...I'm so glad you gave it a go and enjoyed it! ❤️❤️❤️ There were soooo many good pieces!
Nothing is more fun than the antique mall! I hope you go back for the leopard print hat! I’m glad you got those paintings!
Payday is Friday and I believe I will need to make another trip! lol
Jenn, can you do a glasses video one time? Can't remember if you've ever done a detailed glasses video. You have the best variety of vintage-style glasses. I would love to see your whole collection, and hear about which ones you love/don't love and why. And how you pick out which pair you wear from day-to-day. I always love to see which glasses you're wearing!
I've done a few here and there but not a detailed one I'll definitely put it on the idea list. ❤️
The hat! Oh my! Please tell me I haven't missed the Viva las Vegas videos!! Xx
I have to admit I didn't vlog during Viva this year...I just needed to be 100% in the moment...though I did make some fun Instagram reels. ❤️
The HAT! Omg! That white Hat with the flowers! So cute! How on earth you walked away with only one hat... I have no idea. I was sure the pink one would be in your haul as well....thanks for sharing your adventure.
I'm still not sure how I did either! lol
I love all your treasure finds Jennifer! It must be so hard to narrow it down with so many beautiful hats and glassware. The dress you are wearing looks amazing on you! Much love to you! ❤
So hard...so much good stuff! ❤️
The Hat! I love the hat! It looks great on you. My Mom wore hats in the 60's and she kept them for years. My daughters had "hat shows" with them! They always made us laugh. Unfortunately, she donated them and didn't tell us until after the fact. I wish I had themed now!
How adorable your kids must have been doing a hat show!
Again, another fabulous video! You would be a blast to shop with! 😃 All the milk glass and Pyrex in those shops, Oh My! 🤭🤗 I have a thing for old dishes and glass ware. The bowl you ended up with is... Amazing... And the spot you found in your kitchen for those pictures is perfect!! I love to go virtual thrifting. And I also love to go in person, lol there's nothing more satisfying than finding something while out on a thrift trip! Thanks for sharing!!
Yay I'm so glad you had fun shopping with me. ❤️ So much good glassware...drool.
@@JenniferElise I forgot to mention that the hat looked great on you, you wear them so well! I have a Pyrex bowl that has the same design as your butter dish and I love it! Everything that I thrift I use, it's so nice to give old things new lives! Thanks again for sharing! 👍
I am in Love with the hats!!!!! Especially the Straw hat, the green velvet hat and your beautiful flower hat!!!
I keep thinking about all of those hats so I can't wait til next payday lol
Aww what a pleasant surprise at the end to hear the subscriber shout out, so cool, thank you!
I'm SO RELIEVED you picked up the art pieces for your kitchen, they are perfection on that wall!!
OMG these are my favorite videos, I was so excited to see what you found!
❤️❤️❤️I have to admit I love making these videos!
The pictures great placement in the kitchen. The fur hat a must it look so good on you.
The white hat is so lovely on you.
I love antiquing videos- all the pretties. I squealed when I saw that you got the bowl. That is what I voted for.
I also went to an antique store and found my dream starburst clock. Girl we did good.
They are so fun! OMG...love starburst clocks...so thrilled you found the perfect one.
Columbus is definitely on the places to go list.... especially now that I saw some bits and pieces! Such fun adventures 🥰
I think you need to move it to the top of the list. lol ❤️
So many choices! I am overwhelmed in places like that but you clearly know what you love. Thanks for sharing. I think my fave was the artwork.😊🤗
Wow!!! I loved seeing all the amazing things in those booths, we don't have places like that in Australia so I love watching videos like this. I love the food pictures that you got, they are great, and thank you for showing the hats, I love hats :)
This fact makes me sad! ❤️
This is so fun!! You and I would be like two peas in a pod I swear!! I love the pictures in your kitchen 😍 and oh yay!! I was voting for the bowl!!
You are so lucky having such a great vintage shop so close by! I must say, I was very impressed with your restraint in the first shop. I would have bought everything you had earmarked, and then not eaten for a month or two 😬 The bowl was beautiful- definitely a good decision.
I have to admit there are some really good antique malls near me. Eating ramen for a month would have been the better decision. lol
Ooo! That frosted & golden leaves set around 4:10 is stunning! And that teal & red & gold set around 4:31 (just before you showed the fruit & cheese wall art - and Yay! glad you went back for them!) is amazing! Really loved the glass on Day 2 that was all bumpy/bubbly (around 10:53 ). I don't know what that type of glass is called, but my Babcia had a ton of it! Glad you got the bowl, that's what I would have voted for (I haven't been on Insta since 2019, LOL)
Yesssssss...that glassware was so good! The bumpy stuff is milk glass...I don't think I've seen so much blue and pink in one place....swoon
@@JenniferElise Ah! Yeah, makes sense. All the stuff I inherited is a creamy, milky color even!
I have a small collection of little vintage purses. I just love those! Thanks for filming this shopping trip. It's great to see things from the past!
ooooo purses are so fun to collect, I bet you have some good ones! ❤️
@@JenniferElise I do have a few 🙂🙂 I really love the ones that are beaded or embroidered.
the anchor hocking happy hour bowl!! love it!
I loved this! You found so many great things. That hat is stunning. And that BOWL. I mean! I also know the thrill you're talking about with the pyrex butter dish. Something you have wanted for a long time and finally found! And to be have it be something you will use every day is just so special. :) One of my favorite finds was a starburst clock at an estate sale for $7! It's turquoise and pale green and I freaking love it.
OMG...what a fabulous estate sale find! ❤️❤️❤️
This was so good. I love watching people shop! Also, I loved the hot glue gun video.
Yay!!! I'm so glad you liked them both ❤️❤️❤️
All this hats loved fabulous on you. I love going to antique malls. The mustard container. I remember those. Oh good times.
Sandra! big hugs ❤️❤️❤️ I may need to return for a couple of those hats.
@@JenniferElise yes those hats all looked fabulous on you. You need to buy them.
Amazing finds 👏👏👏 bravo!
Also lol about the snatching of the butter dish 🤣👍🏻 it’s super cute!
I'm still sad about what I left behind and also what I saw when I was editing but missed in the moment. lol
So much beautiful things!!
That green dress is stunning on you!!! Love shopping with you! 💖
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I really enjoyed this video. After the first antique market I thought, no way will the second one be as good but it totally was. Both has such cute stuff. It seems like the antique markets in my area are not as good. You looked fabulous in all the hats! Love your new wall décor and everything you decided to take home. Maybe one day you will find the other parts to the chip and dip set. If not, the large bowl is gorgeous on its own.
Love, love, love the hat!! OMG!! Seriously it's amazing!! And it's in such great condition!! You look really lovely in it!! The porcelain hands I got as well up in Crystal Lake at antique store. I love the shops that you shared. I am always looking for cool places to find things. I adore the bowl that you bought, it's so pretty!! Thank you again for all of your shares and hard work. Have a beautiful evening!! =;)
Love the hat that you picked!!
That green hat at the beginning 💚, Loving your green dress on you🌸
Right..it's so good! I return trip is necessary. lol
My fave is the bowl 😍😍😍😍
Love that green dress 😻and I also enjoyed the video on making that cute dress with the glue gun ( I watched it when it came out too 🤩). You found some fantastic things I admire your restraint.
Thanks! ❤️ I'm thinking of making restraint my middle name. lol
I love the collar!!! Ugh now I need to go on a road trip!
That wall art is Everything! I love getting to vicariously shop through you, lol. Soo much better for my purse. Plus, you know all the best places. Thanks for another fab video.
I'm so glad I didn't leave it behind...I would have had to go back the next day riddled with anxiety that they were gone. lol ❤️
Oh I love the everything you got and I would love to see your kitchen I’m working on mine and I want to do a vintage one also looking forward to seeing the kitchen thank you so much for sharing with us
Corning ware is my favorite to collect snd china with rose patterns!
I'm trying to be less of a hoarder so I like to only bring home things I can actually use. I like teacup trios and I do use them :) Same with my pyrex, I do actually use it.
Fab video that was so much fun. You saved the best til last - that bowl is a WOW and looks so perfect in your kitchen! The hat you bought does look super-cute but I'll admit I was rooting for the leopard fur 😆 Next time!! I have found some very wonderful things over the years and am particularly obsessed with 70s kitchenware, my favourite ever find is probably my dinky 2-cup Hornsea teapot in their classic brown and orange design (I have two other pieces of that set as well) which I use every day!
I love it all! So proud of you for leaving all the hats! Tough decisions were made! Also I would probably just keep the mustard container as decor as well. Have a great day!
I just miiiiiight be going back on Friday. lol
You are the cutest! Those food pictures would look perfect in your house!
aw shucks...thanks! ❤️
Hi Jen! You look amazing in your new hat. I love it! I’m so glad you chose that one. The bowl you have is similar to one we have. I use it exclusively for potato salad. 😜
Aw thank you...hopefully the others don't disappear before I get back up there. lol yessss...bowl twins annnnnnnd now I want to make potato salad. lol
Oh my I love going to Antique Malls although they seem to be disappearing here which is sad. Your video's are so fun and informative to watch :)
mint nail polish. god yes
MCM, was so colourful eh🌈. The hat, drool🤤, the pictures💖, the bowl😲. I have lady head vases, also have the lefton kitty cats. I know how hard it would have been to leave all the other lovelies behind😥🤦🏼♀️🇦🇺
It was!!! So fun. I'm quickly developing a Lefton addiction.
@@JenniferElise 💖🤗
He Jennifer. Love your shopping trip video. My favourites are the little white hat and the turkquiose and gold bowl.
Yay...I'm so glad you liked it! ❤️❤️❤️
This was great! It is difficult to choose. Glad you are happy with your pieces!
My Aunt had in her bathroom a lady head ceramic piece with an open section but what is it supposed to hold? A plant? I always admired it. She did give me her shoe collection. We have glass and ceramic shoes 💝
Perfect kitchen paintings
I'm so glad I went back for them.
Ummm I love everything you got!
What a fun video! You would be an awesome antique buddy.
For the mustard container I wouldn't use it since it's from an era before things started becoming BPA free
I LOVE the hat!
It's just so fun!!
Omg I would love to be inside that place.🙂
Wow!! everything looked amazing! It is always so hard when you have to choose what to get XD
p.s: I loved your dress!!
So hard culling the cart!
That butter dish is one of the designs Lola Collects :)
Because we have impeccable taste! ❤️ I love that we both put up antiquing videos the same week...that's almost like shopping together...almost!
Love you're style you make my crossdressing so much easier ...just need my red hair.
YOU SUIT THE HATS!! How do you keep the hats on, do you use a hat pin? I would use the mustard thing, absolutely. That bowl is bloody lovely.
Sadly hat pins don't really work for me...not enough hair to pin into. I usually use bobby pins. ❤️
I love going op shopping (antiquing is too costly for me 😅)
We gasped when the camera panned to the shell owl at the Farmer in the Dell booth because my dad has a slightly bigger one that looks almost identical! Freaky!!
You should check into estate sales...you can find some great vintage finds at more affordable prices. ❤️ Really?!? That's so fun!
If one of the voices you heard was howling "flippin 'eck, put the wall art down and get another hat instead!!!!!!", that was me.
Gah ha ha...don't worry I heard you and payday is Friday!
You need the chip and dip small bowl with the gold holder and there is similar Amoeba style glassware that would go great with it actually I have both in the bowl in the dip I love it
I will forever be on the hunt now! lol ooooo...I would love to get my hands on some amoeba glassware!
I need you to teach me to antique shop. The self control! The taste and aplomb!
I should make a masterclass! ❤️
Indeed i was saying ''darling you forgot the painting noooo" hihihi ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm glad I listened to you.
I have seen it and it was so cool
Thank you and yay! ❤️
My grandmother gave me two 50's style ceramic lady heads. In storage, they disappeared or maybe broken by my husband 🤔...Now, every time I see others like it (like the ones in your video)
I get sooo bummed out that they're gone.... Oh well
I'm so sorry to hear that! :(
I have a friend who collects pigs. Those evil pigs are cool.
They were so fun!
Why on earth did you not get the straw hat? Take care, so much to buy! Your hair is a good colour today. How do you store hats without getting them dusty?
Birdy
I keep asking myself that very same question! Most of them are kept on bookshelves, I do have to dust them though. I can't help it...I love to look at them.
Do you ever come to Minnesota? Would you want a guide to our antique scene?
I haven't in a long time but if I do then yes! ❤️❤️❤️
My taste of vintage has changed , now I am into more of Victorian/ Edwardian period .. that is more pricey ...
Was that a cats with boobs on the shelf in front of the art? "oh the things I put back" I feel your pain
I'd love to go shopping with you!
It would be fun! ❤️
