If you think this sounds like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, or pretty much any "grunge" band, you need your ears checked. This sounds WAY closer to bands like Deftones, Failure, Hum, Silverchair, etc. I admire this band for playing a style of rock that not many people like because of its commercial friendly sound, and actually doing it justice, unlike certain bands... I'm looking at you Creed

Deftones and AIC are considered sludge metal/grunge/Alt Grunge/Nu Metal (AIC isn't really Nu Metal though).
