Imagine this song used in the episode 62 where Al sacrificed his soul to restore Ed’s right arm and the final episode when Ed and Al returned home in FMA: Brotherhood
Sarah M Because FMA 2003 is better in every way including music..... k maybe thats kind of harsh but really I don't see why people put Brotherhood on such a pedestal when there are a lot of things FMA 2003 did better than Brotherhood (the music being a major one.)
I'm sorry. I loved and hated FMA 2003. I was madly in love with Ed, until...*mumbles spoilers* Then I started to flip tables while bawling. And I didn't like how the other side of the Gate was our world. But I loved the music and animations, and there we're some epic battle scenes I don't necessarily HATE it, just the ending.
BWOSandman Brotherhood's ending was boring. It felt like they were just going through everything that needed to happen to wrap up the story, and took absolutely no chances. I actually found myself feeling bored and wondering when it was going to end. I realize that for some people, a predictable happy ending is exactly what they wanted, not me though. As for the gate leading to our world, I thought it was dumb at first, but after seeing the movie The conqueror of Shamballa, I really began to like the idea. I just wish they had maybe explained what caused the two worlds to split in the first place.

How can I repay you, brother mine? How can I expect you to forgive? Clinging to the past, I shed our blood. And shattered your chance to live. Though I knew the laws, I payed no heed. How can I return your wasted breath? What I did not know has cost you dear, For there is no cure for death. Beautiful mother, soft and sweet, Once you were gone we were not complete. Back through the years we reached for you, At last it was not meant to be. And how can I make amends? For all that I took from you? I led you with hopeless dreams, My brother, I was a fool. Don't cry for the past now, brother mine. Neither you nor I are free from blame. Nothing can erase the things we did, For the path we took was the same. Beautiful mother, soft and sweet, Once you were gone we were not complete. Back through the years we reached for you, At last it was not meant to be. My dreams made me blind and mute. I long to return to that time. I followed without a word, My brother the fault is mine. So where do we go from here? And how to forget and forgive? What's gone is forever lost. Now all we can do is live. ((Just posting to follow the song))
This song hurts me and makes me feel better at the same time. I've been listening to this for almost an hour I might just leave this on for the rest of my life
I'd sing this song to my cat since he was a kitten. He hated my singing but always tolerated and drew close to this song. He is dying this weekend. I'm about to travel hours across my state to sing this to him one last time.
I will be using this music to my video of a memory of my mother walking in a beautiful park . I will show the video on her funeral. Thank you for sharing this heavenly sounds!!
Not only is fma and fmab both one of my favorite animes. Soundtrack wise they're both masterpieces, I'd even put them up there with cowboy bebop in regards to the soundtrack.
There's so many good scenes that this song plays in but one of my favorites was when Izumi breaks into a military base and starts taking down guards just to rescue wrath (In the 2003 version Wrath is the homunculus she created trying to resurrect her son) all the while Curtis is explaining to Winry what she went through and the regret, guilt and grieving she was going through when they first lost their child during birth and how Izumi broke down crying
"I'll become the state alchemist, brother, and I'll find a way to get your back to normal, with a real arm and leg again." "You've got no place feeling sorry for me, Al. I'm the one who has to fix things and get your body back."
I just loved Fma 03. It drew me in immediately. Every time I rewatch it this wonderful overwhelming nostalgia fills me. It was my first and favorite anime ever. No other show I have watched has filled me with the same emotion as this one. The laughter, the sorrow and crying (r.i.p Hughes..), and the overall love in the show- no other anime has moved me like this one.
I finished Brotherhood today after spending about two months watching ‘03 and Brotherhood back-to-back. I...don’t really know what I’m going to watch next, to be perfectly honest. This series is a masterpiece, it’s a gorgeous achievement of storytelling, it’s...fullmetal, in the fullest sense of whatever that means, and I love it. I don’t want it to end. I just want more Fullmetal Alchemist.
I just got transported back to 2004/2005 watching this on adult swim staying up way too late as a kid on Saturday watching animes I probably shouldn't but it was worth it
So happy we got 2 versions of FMA. The 2003 ending crushed my heart and soul, and I'm glad in Brotherhood we got a happier ending. I still love both versions tho. Studio bones came up with an amazing ending for the original run.
I remember listening to this song while sitting with some friends on the river at sunset in the center of Prague, cause the city reminded me so much of FMA. A year or so later we returned to Prague, same friends this time so two of them could get married. this song always brings me back to the times we traveled around Europe, almost brings a tear to my eye, in a good way

I remember most of FMA. I haven’t watched it in a few years, but when listening to this song, it brings back so many memories of the beautiful and inspirational clips they had. This show has so many quotes and just overall clips that make you tear up. Some relatable, others eye-opening and make you realize that the world is cruel but real. FMA gives you perfect representations of that. That’s probably one of the thousand reasons why i genuinely like this anime.
I just realized that this was the first real anime that I had ever seen. I was actually thinking about both series today, and if by fate, I actually was linked to this video in the most random of places. When I first finished FMA 03 I finished it in rush so I could start FMAB but that was the biggest mistake of my life related to anime , the first 13 episodes of FMAB made me so angry I was literally disliking reviews and videos related to FMAB and I continued to season 2 and from that point I came to understand they did this intentionally so it may not feel sluggish ... I continued watching FMAB but I felt so many things are missing , the feel , the tone , sense all are dulled in FMAB and why is there so much unnecessary comedy filled here and there , the point anime starts to get serious they added weirdly animated faces and cartoonish humor which in only some points feel good others it will pushed so that anime don't become too dark ... The ending was very good and action filled in compare to FMA 03 but still failed for me to give that sense of fear that will Ed win or lose cuz everything was setted up , everyone was standing by him , everyone chearing him to win but in FMA the expectations shattered in such a way ... Ed was alone depressed already and was surrounded by enemies and in situation where his brother is going to die , he had to think fast and act quickly .... He managed to win but with a sacrifice of him self where he didn't died but gave up his life ....The OST brother is influential to me in so many ways , it conveys messages about Guilt , suffering , redemption , Taboo and what it feels like when we lose someday very closest to us and we have only option to move on... The characters felt very realistic , Mustang's war crime backstory was so amazing which actually happens in war in real life , no character was shown too much OP , even some homunocullus like Lust , Greed , Wrath , Sloth had such great depth given specially lust she was the star and face of homunocullus for me , not like FMAB where she died so early while being just a sexy villainess with no depth.... The Alchemy was explored very well , The Dark tones really hit to the point and it fixed many flaws of manga which were being a barricade to this anime from being so much different from a generic shonen....The events were so impactful and even fillers had such important and deep themes which series was missing... The most questionable scene where Edward is given task to take lives of prisoner and convert them to Philosopher's stone to save his brother was very deep if you think they really questioned the viewers will you kill someone for the sake of your loved one and how manipulative this would be for Edward in future if he agreed to do so , such a important scene was not even in manga or FMAB.... and the main villain Dante , man she actually had a point for doing all the Genocide.. I still remember her one quote - "Human started war after they found Gunpowder ,now you may understand about Alchemy too" (something like that) she was very true to her motives . In compare to Father she is nothing for power or ability but she had very clear motive but Father's motive changes overtime when he sees himself failing in some point and he is shown such a maniac in search of curiosity and gaining knowledge he thought of becoming a god literally there is no explanation how he is created and how he had emotions, curiosity of knowledge , and consciousness etc.. the ending felt so unnecessarily massive in my opinion like seriously this guy seating his ass on chair do some little work and take overs the whole world and even gods have to be envolved in such a catastrophe , the threat was world level where as in FMA 03 it felt more realistic as it was not world level and such massive...well these were my points for liking FMA 03 more but I still love FMAB and don't hate it at all....
I'm very active! But I do use this account more for my personal music now, more than anything... Thank you for checking up on me, and sorry for the late reply. Happy Holidays! :)
First time I heard this song I'd never even heard of Fullmeatal Alchemist, and I still thought the song was beautiful; now that I've seen it i just want to cry every time I hear this. It's absolutely brilliant, and I think everyone should have a chance to listen to it.
Am I the only one that kinda cries when looking at the channels in the comment section? They say 5 or 6 years ago and has only posted one comment and a few videos, with the last being 2 or 3 years ago. Makes me sad, makes me feel like they got old and don't have time for this kinda stuff anymore or that they lost their account logins and can never reconnect with us again maybe making a new one was too much hassle so they left. Never to reply to my comments or chat here like they did almost a decade ago. Like damn
i highly recommend it. i f you loved the original then you'll love brotherhood because it follows the manga, and i know everyone liked that idea. my mom actually likes brotherhood better and she saw the original series, so that says something. it's very good (: sorry. i ramble :p
This version is just pure...calmness. A lake in the woods, faires dancing slowly on a meadow. But still, just before the second minute, and 3:10 onwards, it reminds me of Pocahontas, or just wind... XP Leaves come rushing past the screen, horses running. It's genious. Gives me chills. Thank you very much.
Thank you for posting this. This song, more than anything else, is the one thing that expresses my identity. The sadness, hope, love, and loss. Every crescendo and decrescendo perfectly embodies a memory, a regret, and a hope. It heals my soul and reminds me that life is beautiful because our lowest lows allow us to savor the highest highs. It helps me remember to be grateful for the life I have and the opportunity to reflect on who I am. Every person finds a thing or two that perfectly encapsulates them, and they cherish that thing forever. Ever since I heard this song, I found mine......
i absolutely love this song, both with and without words. its so beautiful and sad and calming too. sigh... i love FMA completely beyond comprehension! definitely rate 5!
oh my god thank you so much for uploading this!!!!!!I've been looking for the instrumental version of this song for ages! it's so calming and peaceful.makes me think of Ed and Al
La música de por si te da un sentimiento de nostalgia, pero el hecho de que esta canción ya tenga mas de 13 años te da un golpe de nostalgia aún mas grande.
Listening this makes me realize that life is short, i hope that one day humanity will understand this fact and will stop arguing and fighting, and will begin to love and support each other so that together we humans will stand strong and fight back against the depression in our lives.
Also, Richalvarez used this song in his SMB Videos. And that makes it even more emotional for me, because SMB will forever be part of my childhood. Peace out, Richy...
Oh my word.. It's been 8 years since I've heard this song (bc I didn't know the name of it until now).. I loved it as a freshman in high school, and I just might cry now that I've found it as a college senior.
My first anime, because I just picked one at random on netflix and it was the only one I had heard of and didn't seem totally cheesy or weird. I love it, and after I watched the shamballa movie and brotherhood, which I all love. Now I've got a huge list of animes to watch, some I'm like halfway through.
When I close my eyes, I can picture Ed and Al looking back at home, watching Den bark his goodbyes, as they head towards Central to uncover more clues. Or Al laughing with Winery, and Ed visiting their Mom. It makes me think of them fighting so hard for each other's normality again, and getting back up every single time they fail. I swear, no other anime resonates with me the way FMA does... T_T
Bitch that shit made me so sad my heart beat went all weird and felt like it was about to burst. Shit you commented 4 years ago, you better be alive :(
technically there were originally like 9 or 10 but they mushed some of them to make sloth greed and maybe another. I dont know when they started merging them though.
It's been almost ten years since I saw this show. I've seen a lot of anime since then. A lot that were even better than FMA03 but I'll always remember the experience of watching this show for the first time.
Thanks for replying. :) I am now watching brotherhood, as you said, and so far, i find it very good :D Im at the part where Hughes dies, it is most probally the sadest part of the whole series :'(
Alchemy; the science of understanding the structure of matter, breaking it down, then reconstructing it as something else. It can even make gold from lead. But alchemy is a science, so it must follow the natural laws: To create, something of equal value must be lost. This is the principle of Equivalent Exchange. But on that night, I learned the value of some things can't be measured on a simple scale. My brother and I knew the laws of science, of Equivalent Exchange, that gain required sacrifice, that something had to be taken from us. But we thought there was nothing more we could lose, we were wrong…

We do have alchemy in the real world. We just get the energy from proton collisions instead of miniature gates of truth.

Thank you for the music! The best version of "Brothers" I've ever heard on RUclips
No fucken wayy. The youtube account is still active. Thanks for letting me know, really hope you're OK
I'm very active! But I do use this account more for my personal music now, more than anything... Thank you for checking up on me, and sorry for the late reply. Happy Holidays! :)
@@emileebayya happy to see you're still alive😂 and that's OK.
Happy holidays
First time I heard this song I'd never even heard of Fullmeatal Alchemist, and I still thought the song was beautiful; now that I've seen it i just want to cry every time I hear this. It's absolutely brilliant, and I think everyone should have a chance to listen to it.
Man..blast from the past this gives back so many memories 😂😢
This music will always be my favorite one and no other score can replace it❤ A true masterpiece indeed.
"It's going to rain today....."
this song has such a feel of pain and suffering... but like its beautiful and full of of life and devotion and love.. pure beauty
Beautiful work of music brings a heavy feeling into my heart and soul every time
Words cannot describe my love for this. It makes me feel everything about life that is good.
Like damn
Love FMA and this helped my one year old son fall asleep. 😊
i highly recommend it. i f you loved the original then you'll love brotherhood because it follows the manga, and i know everyone liked that idea.
my mom actually likes brotherhood better and she saw the original series, so that says something. it's very good (:
sorry.
진짜 너무 좋다
Someone told me right after posting, but I thank you for taking the time to tell me that :D
have not yet seen the original series. but damn, this makes me want to watch it. the music seems as good, if not better than brotherhood's.
Pls tell me you've watched it now after 3 months
@@Fullmetal_Prodigy-03 i've tried to, but i just cant find the time for it. I'm definitely going to watch it as soon as I'm able to though.
@@isohelss4788 yah :D but sad bc you can't find time to watch it :(
@@Fullmetal_Prodigy-03 yeahh :( it's ok tho i have a whole lifetime to watch it :D
@@isohelss4788 yeah you do lol
geez, this is really moving. kind of an understatement there. i absolutely love violins and they are just onverwhelmingly beautiful in this song.
Thank you Emilee!! I was searching for this version of Brothers, and I finally found it! Thank you, this is my favorite version out of all of them!
I am automatically SWEATING of my eyes....FMA one of the Best Anime of all...
I'm not crying You Are!
We are
When i hear this song i think of the bond i have with my little brother and it gives me a relaxed feeling i always watch the stars with this song
Even when our eyes are closed there's a whole world out there.
oh my god thank you so much for uploading this!!!!!!I've been looking for the instrumental version of this song for ages!
it's so calming and peaceful.makes me think of Ed and Al
makes me teary eyed every time. Every single time.
One of the most beautiful songs ❤️
La música de por si te da un sentimiento de nostalgia, pero el hecho de que esta canción ya tenga mas de 13 años te da un golpe de nostalgia aún mas grande.
I once played this during a D&D session. Almost instantly, the play stopped and the feels began.
I wished if this soundtrack was there in fma brotherhood . This is the only thing which is missing from brotherhood . 💯💘
Man this masterpiece has been here for 13 years. Crazy how old Full metal Alchemist is.
Perfect. I fallen on russian version all time ! --' So now it's the better version that i found ! Thx !
The memories
I LUV THIS SONG omg I would stop time to watch this over and over and over and over again.
Shit you commented 4 years ago, you better be alive :(
@@kokujin5446 lmaoo I’m alive

12 dislikes... I thought there were only 7 homunculi? You know, since there are 7 deadly sins... where did the other 5 come from?
+Tamayako I'm guessing the manga version of Sloth, Pride and Father passed by. The last two... no idea.
+Greil9 Kimbley and Tucker were the other two.
technically there were originally like 9 or 10 but they mushed some of them to make sloth greed and maybe another. I dont know when they started merging them though.
multiple fetishes of lust.
no problem. i hope everything turns out all right for you (:
It's been almost ten years since I saw this show. I've seen a lot of anime since then. A lot that were even better than FMA03 but I'll always remember the experience of watching this show for the first time.
THIS SONG MAKES ME CRY!! :-; the feels..
Forgive me, little brother
Thanks for replying. :) I am now watching brotherhood, as you said, and so far, i find it very good :D Im at the part where Hughes dies, it is most probally the sadest part of the whole series :'(
i love fullmetal alchemist so much! i think this is my favorite one of their songs!
I absolutely adore sining along to this- thanks for posting!! ^_^
14 years ago i heard live song of this. And i found it today.
I love this music like I love this anime
I can't even express in words how much I agree with that statement
OMG Thanks a lot, now I can fandub it YcY Such a beautiful song
What a beautiful melody. I haven't even seen this show, but I think this music is amazing.
