    We had good cell service for Bell, Virgin Mobile, Telus and Koodo. No issues anywhere we went along the Hwy 60 corridor. If you have an opinion, especially with another cell service provider please leave a comment to help others with their planning.

      Rogers is the same. The exception for Rogers would be when you pull off 60 for a distance (ie Centennial Ridges Hike or Booths Rock, Track and Tower or the Mizzy Lake hike) - those take you far enough away from 60 thats Rogers is spotty.

    Water bandit very cool, very useful. And what a pretty camp spot your on nice and large looks pretty privet. , All the sites seem to be a great size lots of trees , dogs allowed, incuding that water area , ( my dog loves the water too) . Oh wow amazing to make a cell tower that looks like a tree very good thinking . Variouse gorgeouse lakes to paddle about cant get much better than that.. Lots to do nice big store , Thanks folks this has to be on my bucket list thanks for the tour .

    Thanks Guys, for another great review & another awesome season. I completely understand why the Ben's canoe story wasn't shared in this video (time restaints), however I hope that story will be shared in separate video. Sounds like a cautionary tale for everyone, similar to the unfortunate Goolge maps directions John & Sue took to Driftwood from Samuel De Champlain due to the accident on Highway #17.

    Great video! The parks filed the threads off because technically the rules are that you can only fill up with a hose at the trailer fill station. They only want you to fill jugs or containers up at the campground taps. Apparently this is to prevent any back flow from contaminating the water supply in low pressure situations as per the provincial park rules and regulations

    Have been to Canisbay a few times. The first time was based on your original video.👍 Will be nice when the new dump/fill station is up and running at Canisbay. Irritating that they filed the threads off that faucet. Could have waited until their new station was up and running. Great vid as always. We were at Bonnechere that week. Amazing weather.

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  Месяц назад +2

      I completely agree about the threading on the tap. No idea why they would file them off. I can see not wanting people to fill up there once the new dump/fill station is open but jeez, what an inconvenience now. Bonnechere is a beautiful little park. I'm sure that was a great trip with the same amazing weather.

    I like how this was very different from the last Canisbay review. Awesome job. It seemed this season there were a few "check them off the list" kind of parks that you reviewed beautifully but seem like you might not go back again and again. Nice to see you go back to one of your ( and my) favorites.

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  Месяц назад +1

      We definitely had a few check them off the list parks this year. We want to check out as many Ontario Parks as we can to offer a good catalogue of park reviews for people to check out. If some of these parks were closer to home we might go back to them and they are close to home for many people. Algonquin is a definite a favourite and that's why this video ran a little long.

    Glad to hear the dump station at Canisbay will be open next year. Always enjoy the fall time to go to Algonguin. Were there 2 years ago and we were leaving on Thanksgiving Monday(like a lot of people) and found the line up to the dump station to the road. Never moved for 30 minutes, walked in and found the system was full and wouldn't allow any more in. Remembered your tip about going to Arrowhead and called them on the way. They wouldn't allow us in to dump because they said park was at capacity so we ended up driving home with full black and grey tanks. I knew not to do it but didn't want to search for another option. Glad they have the new one opening!

    • @CampingwiththeColes
      @CampingwiththeColes  Месяц назад

      We too have been to the dump station at Algonquin to find that the tanks were full so no one could dump. We've never called ahead to Arrowhead, it's a paperless park so we just drive in and go to the dump station. I know we always pack close to our trailers GRWR so I wouldn't want to have a couple hundred pounds extra weight driving home. We had to do it once at the end of the season because the dump station at the park we were staying at was closed. We went to a private park and paid $15 to dump. It was nice because we had plenty of time and could do a good black water flush.

    • @CampingwiththeColes

      We've only ever come across bears once in the organized area of Algonquin Park. It was a momma bear and baby bear on the Old Railway Trail near the blueberry field. We've come across them numerous times when we used to back country camp in Algonquin, usually during a portage. Each time we just made some noise and they ran away. They're generally not interested in us, just our food. We've never been too concerned about bears.

    I used to think it was important that the trailer was on an angle to make it better for draining the tanks until I had to take apart the plumbing to get access to tank access. (Don't ask!) It actually drains out the bottom front centre of the tank and tank bottom tapers to the centre. So even though my hook up is on driver's side of RV there was no benefit of it higher on one side or the other. People may want to crawl under to see how there's is plumbed, Now I know I don't need to put passenger side on a piece of wood while dumping
