- The eleventh Kawasaki R211A off the line is now on the rails of the A line in the New York City Subway! This consist is numbered 4190-4194 and 4195-4199 and joined the A on 3/5/24.
All of my videos are filmed on an iPhone 13 Pro Max in 1080p at 60fps then upscaled to 4K, unless stated otherwise.
Like my work and want to leave a tip? I will gladly appreciate any and all donations! But remember, they are not necessary!

Wow more R211 Trains
Wow, just like that, another one hopped in service! I'm hoping to see the 42xx R211As coming in service as well!
There are officially as much R211s in service on the A to be exactly the amount of sets of R179s on the A.
I see more r211s then r179s imo
Wow we’re moving quickly now. However this one doesn’t have updated signage yet (platform layout and which side of the doors open).
Damn, on the day this was posted, there is now a 12th set running
Looks like the MTA has been trying to put multiple trains into service each week to make up for the time lost due to the gearbox issues last fall.
That makes 14 R211s overall in service, 12 211As and 2 211Ts... 2 more 211As in service already in one day?!
Two in one week woah they’re really trying to get back on schedule
4150-9 might enter service next week (pending how fast they do the burn in)
@@mediangaming6768 Hey, bro! What's up?
Now that more R211’s are in service, has the (A) been using fewer R179’s or is it just me? I noticed I haven’t really seen a lot of R179’s on the (A) recently.
I don't know, the amount of 179s is on par with the 211s last I checked... And even then, I don't think any 179s has been transferred or anything.
The R179's might as well serve as backups.
Yeah I’ve also noticed most trains are R46s and the R179s are just as rare or rarer than the R211s on the A now
@@fantherailsbc That’s what I was trying to say. I wonder if more R179’s have been observed in storage at Pitkin?
@@KingofGamingAndTrains456 most likely
Cool catch.
Só quero ver com r46 Quanto é R160 ficar amigo do r211 eu mudo de Nova York
Just got word that the 12th R211A has entered service, but this set shown here wasn't the one in the burn-in testing video recently though... So, as of now, we have 14 R211s overall, 12 of them are R211As... I wonder when the 13th 211A will go under testing, as well as the 1st R211S... The only way to know is if any more 211s are coming to service is to find them under testing but I don't know if there are anymore of them are undergoing testing elsewhere for now... Correct me if there is at least one under testing though.
Yes, the R211As are being delivered and tested as quickly as possible. Service entries are behind schedule and the MTA wants to catch up.
When is set 4150-4159 entering service.
Probably next week
I should check it out and ride one
I saw that set yesterday 3/6/24 at Jay street Metro tech
They just keep coming and coming…
Now they have 4170-4179 in service now. Now they have about 11 sets in service now.
Yep just entered service today. They’re putting in R211s faster than I can make videos on each one😭
@@fantherailsbc right now the R211a are catching up with the R179.
@@TransitFans it is on the same level on the r179 now. Meaning they are now just as hard to catch as the R179
@@fantherailsbcwatch 4150-9 enter service lol
@@mediangaming6768 might have to end up filming two different sets in one day, which means I’ll have to track two different trains at once which I have never done before. This could be very time consuming and I don’t have enough free time😅
So how many more sets until all the R46s are gone?
Good question
Like 50 Subway Train cars of R46 they got retired
What have they done to R179? Only the R46 can operate the shuttle.
Any B division rolling stock can operate on the Rockaway Park Shuttle. R179s and R46s and anything else they've got in Pitkin Yard can. There is nothing that says only R46s can operate on the shuttle.
@@fantherailsbc So why did they decide to switch it up?
@@kingofthelight8260 I don’t know, but I would assume it’s because the A has plenty of R211s in service now so those R179s can be placed elsewhere. These decisions are decided by the yard, in this case Pitkin.
@@fantherailsbc I’m guessing all the R46 on the A line are retiring first, so R179 can fill up the Shuttle. So The A line will be full of both R211 (Galvatron) and R179.
4080-89 still NIS 😭😭😭
Don't worry it's still in Service for 4080-4089
They needa put these on the N and Q tbh
