N/E Scotland 6 pm, electricity just went down, cat hiding under the bed, everything rattling and whistling, mixed horizontal rain and snow….. early bed.
@@terencebarrett2897 19.30 pm electricity still off, expecting it to be off all night.. Winds still very strong with snow and rain. Temperatures dropping (-5 or so in wind)(no heating either). Cat is still under the bed 👍
9.45pm…. Electricity still down, drinking water has stopped. No let up in the wind, still as strong as ever. Much of rural eastern Scotland is in darkness with many power lines down. Locally to me we have walls and trees felled, roads are blocked. The wind is just a steady constant blast with periods of mega blasts, it’s been several hours of hurricane like conditions and it’s still giving.
Can’t sleep In Middlesbrough house sounds like it’s falling to bits. Don’t think my fence will make it through the night. Can’t imagine what it’s like up in Scotland 😱
Omg the weather in the north east where I live is scary . I've put eight one yard long stakes and bolted my polycarbon glazed aluminium greenhouse in preparation for this storm and it's ripped it out the ground . The greenhouse is smashed to pieces and there's debris everywhere. I hope everyone is safe especially the elderly 🙏🙏🙏
It's 2am in gateshead next to newcastle there's chimmly pots flying bins are flying sounds like a hurricane some gusts of winds and there's drunk people laughing there heads off in the back lane.
