Shevla (Dragon Stalk Yam) is a vegetable found in some parts of Maharashtra before the rains. Many CKP families enjoy this vegetable and use it in a variety of dishes. This is a healthy and tasty recipe, but don't forget to check out Chef Tushar's tips at the end of the video.

3-4 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Asafoetida
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
5-6 Garlic Cloves (Crushed)
1 bunch Dragon Stalk Yam (chopped & soaked)
Paste of 4-5 Kakda
1/4 cup Tamarind Pulp
1 Onion (chopped)
1 cup Red Lentils (boiled)
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Mix Masala
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
Jaggery (lemon size)
Salt (as per taste)
1/2 cup Coconut (grated)
1/2 cup Coriander Leaves (chopped)
Water (as required)

It tastes much better than अळू ची भाजी पण ह्यातही चिंचेचा कोळ टाकावा लागतो नाहीतर ही भाजी पण खाजते 😮. अतिशय महाग भाजी जी वर्षातून एकदाच खायला मिळते 😢
व्वा मस्तच.. आम्ही शेवळामध्ये कोलंबी घालून करतो. मला अजून दिसली नाही ही भाजी बाजारात..
It's a raan bhaji.. after first rain it starts growing in forest and person have to go to search in forest.. it's a super healthy vegetable.. but procedures of cooking it has to be followed as explained by chef.. or else its disaster.. super healthy,naturally grown,0% pesticides..

ऑरेंज पार्ट नसेल तर नक्कीच खाज येणार त्यासाठी तो भाग नक्कीच घेऊ नयेत...आणि काकड जरी नाही टाकली तरी आपण त्यात चिंचेचा कोळ किंवा कोकम घालुन ही भाजी करता येते त्याने खाज येत नाही.
