If my math is correct, you’re running somewhere around 2k to each sub. Or did you tune the amps to rms? In any case, how are they holding up after a year of the video post?
It was close to 2k per sub on burps. Music i could get a song with a solid baseline in and after about 2 min she’d get a little stinking. Id say around 1000-1200 watts they could run all day, but i could probably have blown these in about 2 songs on a bass race or duel.
I need some advice I have six rockford fosgate p3 12s and was wondering what would be a good bass amp for my subs?? I'm looking to spend $400 to $600. I have a 320 amp alternator extra battery and 0 gauge wire.
Reason am asking because I got 8-15s skar vxf and 2 taramp md 12ks and I got 2 mechman alternator 1 is a 370 and 1 is a 400. And i got a 95amp cmax. And my box is tune too 30hz. And my voltage stays around 14.9 to 15.3 and am clipping.
Looks like you have 4v preouts. Those Taramps amps don’t like high volt preouts. Try turning it to 10% and clamp your power with your HU volume at 75%. Or you can do a line driver to adjust your signal. 🤷♂️
In my unprofessional opinion as long as you are set correctly you can prevent clipping on any amp. I just know Taramps are really sensitive to higher voltage preouts like what you have. I would start with making sure its not your head unit. Like i said easiest way would be to turn up about 75% volume on your head unit and then set your amp from there. But no, your sundown amp would have a problem set properly at that voltage and power supply.
