As a former Rv Service Manager, and an Rv owner, I ask why in the world did he take possession of the Rv when he never was shown the operations of how each function works on it? We posted our PDI inspection tag with signature and date right on the door. We walked each buyer thru the process how each appliance works, radio, tv, jacks, levelers awning, etc. I cannot believe he took it off the lot without being shown how everything works. Also, as for the hitch, it’s best to just have the work done elsewhere if he can afford it and then sue for damage. CW is absolutely notorious for these things and sell RVs that are known by the manufactures to have defects or issues and buy them at low costs then reselling them to the uneducated Rv buyer. Sad but true.
I agree, the dealers and sales people parrot the same story “it’s just the way it is when you buy a camper, stuff breaks, you have to accept it”. I saw HOGWASH!
This guy is blaming the company for his own stupidity. “I just assume” stop assuming, always get an inspection. This guy is nuts, why didn’t he call his own wife rather than asking lying Marie to do it?
Tough to feel sorry for this guy. Was a hard interview to listen to. Honestly seems like he didn’t learn anything. Wingman trying to give him good advice with small claims and to get it in writing, went in one ear out the other.
Spray on bed liners DO NOT VOID WARRANTIES, you can’t win with these people accept the plugs and bed liners and let it go. This guy is letting his emotions guide him, you can’t sue the tech. Make sure it’s a spray in bed liner, and never go back to Camping Weird. If you take them to small claims court all they will do is request that it be moved up to Supreme Court and then you’re screwed, the attorney cost will be more than any claim award.
Unfortunately Robert is a very naïve RV buyer . Also shows how most RV dealerships don’t care about customers satisfaction!! Slippage makes the stockholders rich ! Bottom line . 😬
"You cannot weld it'll void [the truck] warranty." ABSOLUTELY FALSE. And the dealer knows that. Under the Magnusson Moss Act and other federal legislation, you can do anything you want to that truck, and unless the dealer can PROVE your work damaged the truck, the warranty still applies. When a car or truck dealer tries that lie, it means they are liars and thieves. Ask any legal aide clinic, any lawyer, or your local assemblyman or other politician. Alan, you ought to know that by now too!
As previously mentioned, the buyer should have required a thorough walk thru. The rv industry in general is a hit and run scam. Camping World is notorious for terrible service and maintenance….there’s even a large FB group airing their CW complaints. The buyer was a bit lazy and too trusting. Do your homework.
If he thinks once they fix his trailer his troubles are over, he's delusional...as far as his buying experience I heard first "I figured" and they didn't even have the water hooked up...where is some personal responsibility for not so smart decisions...obviously, if they drilled holes in his bed he didn't have a truck that came with gooseneck/5th wheel package...How much research did he do on his Crusader? I'm guess none...First of all I would not buy a trailer that sat out in the Texas heat and rain for over a year...I just assumed, good grief...so many mistakes...CW loves customers like him. I'll tell you what I'm certainly not taking advice from this guy.
Everybody says get an inspection, can’t they cost up to $1,500? So yes, it could save you a bad purchase, but how many of these checkouts would be feasible
RV dealers like camping world don’t give a hoot. Manufacturers don’t give a hoot. They don’t go through a camper until they sell it, then they will take the time, sadly
Camping world sucks service is poor unit is 3 1/2 years old and still same problems as day one total months is service is over 6 months covid made don't trust it anymore.
You sue camping world and all the employees and the gm of that store tell them you are going to bring all the people to court that had any thing to do with it and even people you talk to on the phone get there attention .they will try to made you file at home office
With the 100’s of videos of bad experiences with Camping Weird why on earth would anyone do business with them? People you have been warned multiple times, stay away from these guys. They don’t care about customers

I love it, you go to get service and the service people don’t know anything. I see I’m not the only person that has crazy experiences like this.
Stop buying RVs without an inspection from an independent third party. Damn!

If you buy anything from camping world you’ll regret it. I wouldn’t even use their restrooms. Stop giving camping world your business.

Rule #1 Never let Camping World touch your RV.

Get them to just give a written estimate to FIX AN IMPROPER INSTALLATION.

Rule number 1 never ever go to camping world for anything.
You all know what assume means, never assume anything when it comes to an RV.
Camping world sucks service is poor unit is 3 1/2 years old and still same problems as day one total months is service is over 6 months covid made don't trust it anymore.
