My husband was hit by a driver not seeing him before turning into a side road, so turned right into him him with no warning as the driver didn't indicate either. So lucky he was wearing the right gear & only walked away with a broken arm, knee & badly bruised all over. If he hadn't been wearing a full helmet it would have been a different story as he went face first into the car & having his face covered by a full helmet is really why he's still here today. My main challenge as HGv driver is now prioritising which car driver in front / side / behind me ( i have optimally adjusted and clean mirrors and keep watching aroynd me constatnly 180 degrees😅) is the next one to compensate for . As Audi CEO said 20 years ago: what sells a car now, is not the engine but IN CAR ENTERTAINMENT "😅. EVERY 5 min I see a driver not paying attention: position, speed, road signs, sat nav( bmw) , lost in space ,reading e mails. mails( teslas) .And they are taking over the world😅
Is he talking about a car driver approaching a main road from a side road when the bike is on the main road. Depending on speed the bike sync with the blind spot of the A pillar so won't be seen until the last minute. Hence why stop signs are so important you actually completely stop regardless

And also not blind spot checking. Safety gear saved me but getting knocked off at 60 because of someone changing lanes and now should checking sucks
