    As a fisherman of 50 years and I do a show on Facebook, sometimes front facing sonar takes place of the years of experience that fishermen exposed themselves that 🎉🎉has been replaced by front facing sonar the natural fishing techniques that we spent so long to master has gone away I love the way you did your show today.

    Thanks for leaving some fish in the lake, for we amateurs. Impressive talent and set up. Subbed a couple /few vids back. I'm in Eagle Springs, a 6th gen Texan. We hadn't been on the water much, since we sold our last boat in 2021, but we've been keeping a new sport runabout pretty wet, over the past 6 weeks. I'm just getting interested in fishing again, after a very long hiatus. Your vids are very helpful. We had a great charter trip, up at Lake Bucannon, recently, during a weeks worth of fun in the LBJ area. 4 hour evening trip for 2, yielded several 23-24" stripers, as well as a couple of whites, and a hybrid, plus a few throw backs. Wife loved it. Captain is a 2nd gen charter man, on that lake. Good fun. I'd like to find a good guide to take us out and show us some good local spots to hit. :)

      I appreciate that. I’m Definitely making more of my videos a lot more informative for you guys to learn vs just y’all watching me fish. I like seeing my viewers learn and catch them.
      I like that LBJ area. Wish I could get out there more. It’s beautiful out there and really fun to fish! Especially during the spring and during the summer they have all of the underwater green lights that attract the fish.
      I can’t think of any on Lake Houston off the top of my head but eventually I’m going to make an insider map for that lake that will be available for y’all

    Going to friday in a crestliner vt17 and its my 1st time launching a boat in the water and ive never really navigated a boat either. I'll likely be alone. I'm going to lake houston Marina and hope for the best. Going to hammer em

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  Месяц назад

      @@marcuswhite1775 hey bud! I’d recommend launching at ponderosa in Luces bayou. The bayou is kinda tricky to run but so is coming from 1960. There are some shallow areas and random stumps.
      In ponderosa You can launch and immediately start fishing. Especially this time of the year.
      Lots of fish make their way to the bayou. South of the boat ramp is okay to run. Just stay in the middle. When you get to the mouth of the bayou that’s where it’s tricky and need to follow someone that looks like they know where they’re going. Huge flat out there with a few nasty stumps on it.
      North of the ponderosa ramp has random stumps so just idle only.
      Also for bass you may find my recent lake Houston baits video helpful. Give that a watch if you haven’t already. That crestliner is the perfect boat for that lake. I really like taking my aluminum rig over there.
      Let me know how you do! Good luck!

    I believe you are correct in attributing the lower viewership to dilution from so many RUclipsrs now vs previously AND content not as diverse as it was. It seems like every bass fishing RUclips has a “5 best lures” for each month as an example. Not sure what guidance to give as I think it is just a saturation issue which will put a greater burden on RUclipsrs to be creative and provide unique content.

      Hey Josh! Welcome to the channel. Yeah me too!!! I hate that I have to use the scopes to be competitive in tournaments but I love cutting off the electronics and just locking a rod in my hands and figuring it out on the fly.
      Oh yes! 10 years ago I was going out there a lot then I ended up moving away from the lake but my gosh it is LOADED WITH BIG BASS! I’ve caught some big ones out there. Ive never caught a DD out there but lots of 9s, 8s and 7s.

    Any public boat ramps to launch a kayak that’s up north to fish good cypress trees?

    • @lanceduff
      @lanceduff  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes there are three good ramps. One is ponderosa in the Luce’s bayou, another one is BJs in the east fork. There is the old commons ramp. Not sure if it’s public or not but here are the GPS coordinates to the ramp 30.08509° N, 95.15101° W
      There is also a ramp in the west fork that’s not far from good trees either. It’s off Hamblen road. I’ve never launched there but I believe it’s a public ramp.
