I just bought the 2015 sierra hd with the 6.0. had a 2014 Ram 3500 with Aisin and it died on the road and left me stuck for a week in a small mountain town with a little Ram dealer. This was after only 6k miles. Disappointed. However, I have owned GM trucks in the past. Wow, very nice. Wish I could have had the Dmax but the price was a little steep. What I can tell you is, wow the 6.0 has came a long way. Plenty of power, very nice exhaust note, and wow, just an excellent finished high quality feeling product. I was bummed my Ram broke down, but to my benefit, now I own the Sierra. Coming from a HO cummins to this, yeah there is a little difference, but it's not noticeable at all. You'll dig it.
