      @daniel022209 5 лет назад +1

      Nope not the NABI's. It was the NABI's that ultimately retired the older Neoplan fleet from 8285 to 8584. Those buses are ok though lol.

    AHH The Neoplans. My favorites that I have riden through the decades were the AKs, BDs, BMs, and CDs. No one has these videos. Long live the 8337, 8363, 8438, 8444, 8454, 8459, 8468, 8480, 8547, 8554, 8560, 8606, 8607, 8612, 8615, 8622, 8625, 8630, 8633, 8637, 8639, 8641, 8645, 8646, 8648, 8650, 8652(one of my most favorites), 8653, 8655, 8815, 8829, 8843, and 8850 SHEESH. I literally grew up on these NEOPLANS. I wish I got on one of the 8200 series Neoplans on Septa from Comly though.

    The overblown turbocharger and the exhaust pipe. These buses have the exhaust pipe located on the engine.

    • @daniel022209
      @daniel022209 6 лет назад +1

      MetroLinerXLZ theybwere running a long time. Thats why they sound like that. I remember Neoplan AK 8289 back in 1996 was running loud as ever. Comly use to run the Neoplans like crazy when they came in brand new and some of them had transmission trouble after a while.

  • @Jayayess1190
    @Jayayess1190  14 лет назад +3

    @LPenn0505 Canada still has some GM New Looks running, which would be 20-30 yrs. Buses can run as long as these did, as long as they are maintained properly.

  • @Jayayess1190
    @Jayayess1190  16 лет назад +2

    Septa only has 30 Neoplans left in service, all 1989. I have no videos of older ones.

  • @Jayayess1190
    @Jayayess1190  16 лет назад +2

    Northwest Philly (Mt. Airy, near Cedarbrook Plaza). I am moving to Springfield Township by fall for 12th grade, so it will be even harder to get videos :(

  • @Bastranz27
    @Bastranz27 15 лет назад +3

    Those had a different transmission. Anyway, 3429 was unique in that whining sound - this wasn't prevalent in the other Neoplans.

  • @Jayayess1190
    @Jayayess1190  16 лет назад +2

    Most likely they will be taken to Midvale and eventually scrapped. So far 3 trackless trolleys have been delivered (801-803), none in revenue service yet.

  • @MetroLinerXLZ
    @MetroLinerXLZ 17 лет назад +2

    It can, but it may be costly. Basically, you'll have to replace the pipe or have on retrofitted (if that's possible???).

  • @Jayayess1190
    @Jayayess1190  16 лет назад +2

  • @Jayayess1190

    Its kind of hard for me to since there are only 30 left in service and they don't run on routes near me :(

  • @zackdurham
    @zackdurham 16 лет назад +2

    but arent the trackless trolleys going on the trackless trolley routes like the 59 and the 79. But what wouldnt they do with the neoplan's that exceeded the lifetime with septa. will they take it to midvale or wayne junction especially and dump em or they sell em

  • @Promagstyle
    @Promagstyle 16 лет назад +2

    Its a public transportation vehicle, so there is no need to hide your camera. Everyone for sure has ridden transit before has seen a transit vehicle, so you are entitled to film. If someone complains just pretend you don't speak english.

    Well i guess houstonians dont appreciate buses as much as people in other states or countries. some dude just peed on one of our new Orions so it lost its new bus smell fast

  • @LPenn0505
    @LPenn0505 14 лет назад +2

    Why are they abusing these poor machines. buses shouldn't run 18 years. i figured it out . technology ages x 5.5years 18 x 5.5 = 99. this bus is 99. it shouldnt be working it should be reserved for parades or something
