See, the record version worked because the slide guitar sounded like organized chaos.
Here, it sounds like the guitarist is incredibly drunk, just picked up the slide for the first time, and is listening to an entirely different song through headphones.

This song is so special and so unique. I know many people and I lovin it so much. But when performing live, this particular song sounds like a total crap :(
I'm sorry, the track's great on the album, but the slide guitar on this is so off the mark I can't stand listening to this even with the rest of the band on all their marks.
