    I paused the video to ask a ques bout this,
    We know himalayas are mostly covered with snow, if there is low pressure there should be warm heated air, means sunrays are there then why not snow caped mountains melts with regard to heat amount??
    Please reply

    • @AaravBarua
      @AaravBarua 4 года назад +5

      See as we know Himalayas are at great height, and we know that as we go up temperature decreases so they are very high that's why they are covered with snow ❄️ they do not melt because there location on world map is at a place where sunrays do not reach directly. hope you got your answer

    • @aditiseth7152
      @aditiseth7152 3 года назад +2

      @@AaravBarua Yes you are correct but it's not like that the sun rays don't reach there or their location on world map is like this. It's also because of altitude. As we have seen in mountainous areas, mountains have so much of height that they are crossing the clouds too. And as you said that as the temperature decreases there, due to altitude and less gravity the air pressure is very low so the snow doesn't melts.

    If air exerts pressure equally in all directions, then how is the pressure on sea the most?

    • @jonmonisarma2029
      @jonmonisarma2029 Год назад

      Why is the air pressure highest at the sea level?
      Air is heaviest at sea level because the air molecules are compressed by the weight of the air above them. Air becomes lighter farther away from Earth's surface as the air molecules become separated by more space. As the weight of the air decreases, so does the air pressure.

    I have a doubt sir, as you told that air pressure is highest on sea level but if we take the example of the pressure of Marina trench so we see that the pressure is sooo much that we will die very soon. So is it not true that if we go deeper inside the sea level, the pressure increases?

    • @MagnetBrainsEducation
      @MagnetBrainsEducation  2 года назад +3

      Hi there,
      Thank you for the comment! You are correct - the pressure does increase as you go deeper into the sea. This is because the pressure of the water above you increases as you go deeper. In the case of the Mariana Trench, the pressure is so great that it would be impossible for a human to survive that deep underwater. We hope this helps clear up your doubt!
