Just finished mine! I made it a little long, so I folded it into the hoodeanie and crocheted it together and now its thick around my neck and I have a place to put heating pads if I want too! I havent added a closure to it, I may eventually but right now I like it open. Thanks for your tutorial, I'll be sure to make more things with your help :D

I just found your videos. I have recently taken up crocheting so I am still learning. Omg! You are wonderful! Your videos are so easy to follow, especially for a beginner like me! I just made this hood for my hubby. Thanks for the great video! I cant wait to try something else! You are so wonderful!

Mine happened to be a little longer than the one u made but I adjusted it by putting in the ties not at the end of the scarf but a little bit more to the top and it is still pretty good. I totally love this idea of yours and I made it for my mother-in-law who loved it too.

I just finished mine! There were a few things I did slightly differently to customize it and I absolutely love it! I should send a picture on facebook or something! I love it so much!!! Thank you so much for all your videos, I've recreated a few things so far that you've made and I absolutely love them all!!! I seriously want to make everything you've made!!! I really appreciate you taking your time out to make these videos for us :D

I used 8 ply and that is equivilant to sports weight or DK, it is a Aussie yarn, you could use 1 strand of worsted weight if you are in USA or Canada

Thank you so much for this wonderful pattern! I made it in a jiffy for an upcoming trip to the Himalayas! I added the braided string near my chin for a more cosy fit but followed the rest of the pattern using a chunky 100% wool.

You could crochet a scarf and then attach it to the hood :)

I'm in the process of making a hoodeanie.I modified the top point so that it doesn't have a pointed top. I just used 6 dbl crochet in the last stitch for the first round. Then added 2 dbl crochet in each on the second round. Used a hdbl crochet throughout the project.

I love this project as I always love your tutorials xxx You taught me to crochet about 18 months ago by your videos and I will be forever grateful ;-) I just wondered if you could tell me how much DK wool you used to make this and also how much Aran/worstead it would take as well....only a rough idea, Thanks xxx

Terrific! Terrific! Terrific! If we wanted to make this without the peak on the hood, would it be possible. If so, how would we do it? Please consider making a video showing how. Thank you for so many great lessons.

    • @CrochetwithClare

Hi Maria, although I have never done it myself, i would sew it on, you could try to crochet it but I think sewing it would be heaps easier

the word plat is not a location thing, its an age thing. my grandmother use to call braids plats which is a single braid as well as other older adults. ^_^

I wish you had shown yourself wearing the finished sample in the beginning rather than ms foamy. Since ms foamy had hers below her neck I made mine a bit long like that but only when u wore it in the end did I realize that the piece should have stopped at the neck. Well it's too late to change it so will have to make adjustments

hello hello... Question I know this video its not recently but I really need help and I hope you can give some advice... I really love this pattern but I hate that little corner on the top of the head I know you have a different pattern with a round start but I prefer this pattern.. so how do you think i can do it to make that corner less pointy and more flattener to the head? thanks in advance and waiting for you answer to start my proyect!! xoxo

Maybe when you sew it up see if you can pull that section in a little more?
