If your struggling with the last octave, I had to put the microphone right up to the proper key in order to pick up the frequency. In doing so, I also had to go back and re-adjust other notes.
I got mine yesterday, and the seller said that it was tuned and ready to use, but even for a beginner like me, it sounded really weird and I didn't know how to use gstrings, since I didn't see any kalimba settings- I was anxious about asking a professional for this because I couldn't find any app to help me tune it, and I didn't want to do a mistake on my new baby- so thanks for your video, now my beautiful toy sounds so much better c':

Showed my family my kalimba and let a few of them pick around on it. I sat it down, still in tune, and went to the other room. Came back later and there were keys _visibly_ out of shape. Pissed me off cause they didn’t ask first, just started smashing keys
I use the same app but apparently mine doesn’t turn green even if it show the correct note. Not sure what’s going on. Also my notes in the app all display on same color, which is white on blue background color. I also have a Manual or Auto tab and Fork tab at the bottom right side of the screen which I see you do not have. What are those for?
My kalimba was pretty close to in-tune, it sounded good, but I checked it with a tuning app & it was just a little off....started tapping it with the hammer & now it's WAY off. Can't get it back. Too sharp, too flat... Really struggling with the concept of a hammer for precise adjustments to pitch. Wish I'd left it alone
Do you believe me if i tell you that i just bought a kalimba 5 hours ago and i wanted to try play one song and it didn't sound right.. After this video i found out not even one (key?) was in right tune. I had to fix the whole kalimba every of 17 key and it took me 2 hours. I just feel like i made the whole kalimba with my hands now. Even if it was tiring it was worth it tho, now it works and sounds perfectly. Thank you for this video it helped me so much.

Manga Vidz here they did XD Thay said they spent hours and hours so they did have patience.
Maybe you can find it. It's an app in the Play Store. It's called Soundcorsit tuner and Metronome.

Is C4 and C3 the same thing? My Kalimba keeps switching between 3 and 4 when I barely hammer it

Lower the pitch - hammer down. Raise the pitch - hammer up. Simple as that! ;)
