- We dined in at one of local's favorites and one of the best spots to get sushi and japanese izakaya food in Honolulu, Hawaii! The have all nigiri, sushi, sashimi, and all the favorite Japanese Izakaya Bar food! Our friend used to work there so she gave us all the inside scoops! 👍🏼

Man this is the best yet. Tourists don't know what they are missing. Food, presentation and everything excellent. I can almost taste this stiff just looking at it. Yummy.

A friend of mine in Honolulu took me there I really enjoy it. I'm from Denver and so it's always a treat for me to get to Honolulu and the see my friends over there. My favorite Sushi is eel by far

All the sushi looked amazing. My favorite is the Botan Ebi with uni/ikura and fried shrimp heads. Oishii!

but now I know where to go and eat. My son went to UH at Manoa and my wife was born and
raised in Maui. We have family on both islands that we visit every time we go. I'm really

Based on your review here, we went here last week. We tried Uni and O Toro. They were good. We did not make a reservation but walked in at 5pm. The host told us that we can only stay for two hours. This was only place we could get Suntory beer in Waikiki. Excellent choice again Amanda and Felix!

Looks really good. I drive by there all the time dropping off or picking up my older daughter from school. Have to live vicariously through you guys for some of these locations. We have a 9 year old and 3 year old twins and not so easy to go out to eat now. Will definitely have to try this one when the twins are a year or so older.

You should try! The establishment is a bit small so we suggest to make reservations 👍🏼

Chiba-Ken in Waikiki also has great sushi and it’s very intimate inside and on the patio. Their hamachi sashimi is buttah!

YOU HAVE THE BEST QUALITY SUSHI EVER ON THE BIG ISLAND! Kona Side. Sushi Shiono. MAN! Try it out! The quality out there is as good or better than any high end sushi place on Oahu. I am serious. Every time I go I make sure to go, and every time anyone else goes I tell them its a MUST... They become a convert. Come back Oahu to be disappointed. The uni there is the best I have ever had. PERIOD. My girlfriend first tried uni there. LOVED it. Came back Oahu and its a big NOPE. She spits it out. Everything is sooo fresh and the prices can't be beat compared to what we have here. Don't be jelly of us you have a GEM. I've been to izakaya torae-torae a bunch of times. I'd trade all those times for just one more time at Sushi Shiono. I mean torae-torae isn't bad. Its good. But is meh compared to Shiono.... Quality doesn't touch what you have at Sushi Shiono or even high end sushi restaurants on Oahu. You live on the island that has THE GEM of all sushi restaurants in all of Hawaii.
My favorite sUshi is split between mirugai and masago with quail egg! I’ve eaten at quite a few sushi bars in Cali. What sushi are unique to Hawaii? Are there dishes that are more exclusive to Hawaii due to local seafood availability? Oh and Felix it’s good to see you driving again! Looks like you’re on the mend!👍
