Great video Ian! I particularly love the seascapes and the shutter speeds you've chosen! This is very similar to a lot of the seascapes I shoot. On that note - I'm curious how you handle cleaning your lenses and camera bodies when they get covered in salty sea spray? Any tricks or suggestions? Thanks. Keep up the good work!
Fantastic photos! The sunrise was breathtaking. Really surprised by the quality of this lens. If it had f/2.0 I would be making it the replacement of my Samyang 12mm f/2.0 due to the weather sealing.
I have no interest in a lens like this, but I really enjoyed this video. Got some seascape information and techniques but mainly just loved the images you got! Thanks so much.
Wonderful photos, very practical review - thanks for sharing. Re: Circular Polarizers - on such a wide angle lens, don't you get banding effects anyhow - as the polarizer won't work well across such a wide field of view of the sky? That has been my typical findings when shooting wide angle lenses on either full frame or APS-C? Q: It looks very much like the Laowa 9mm - except for the weather sealing, do you know if they are at all "related"?
You are right, about the polarizer, I touched on this in my blog post. its definitely not ideal when shooting with such a wide lens, just wanted to test it out really 👍 Yeah it does look similar to the laowra, but I'm not sure if its related. 👍
I'm curious about the upcoming Fuji 8mm f/3.5, even though that lens is not as fast as the Nisi, so not as good for astro work photography. I also wonder how this Nisi 9mm f/2.8 differs from the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero D.
Those seascapes are just brilliant. 👍
Glad you like them! 👍😁
Great video and captures Ian!! Just love those rocks along Amroth Beach!!
Thanks Simon, yeah its a great spot, its getting the evening sun now which is great. 😁👍👍
Is this lens any good with 40 MP sensor? 😮
Thanks for this. Wondering why you've not given a conclusion as to whether it will replace your 10-24. Also have you tried the meike 10mm?
Yes please Ian?

Thanks James, much appreciated. The photos are always the most important thing 😀👍
Looks like an amazing value lens. Might just swap my sammy 12 for this one.
Also. Images are top notch!
Thanks buddy, hope it works out for you 👍👍

Will this lens function with the Canon R7?
👏🏻👍🏻

Thanks Tim, yes it would be interesting to see those 2 lenses side by side, I've never used the Laowra 👍
@@ian_worth Neither have I but on paper the specs look similar!
