Extremely bright and extremely analytical speakers. I had the Sopras for 4 years and luckily I sold them. I simply couldn’t stand them anymore as my ears kept bleeding.

I have some focal speakers as well. They're overly bright and lack depth, but they have outstanding detail and texture, so I just pair them with another speaker and tune the tweeters down

Hi guys, my 72 year old father has been buying some jmlab / focal speaker over the last 40 years after trying other local popular brands in france, ( cabasse, triangle...) and i grew up with them. I could'nt think of buying anything else after listening to several models we have owned. I find their warms clear sound unique, and we always associated them with onkyo (rip in 2022) or denon amplifiers. They are very famous here because they also build the drivers, and the r&d in the membran / material is fascinating. I heard they invented a good few tweeter design that made them famous for their so light and krispy signature. For some of you fan of acoustic / southern / texas country music, it's a must try!!!

Growing up my favorite speakers were the klipsch horns. 58 years later my favorite is still the klipsch horns.
For those who want clean efficient pure sound. Those who want to listen to rock, opera, Liberace on piano, Pavarotti or hauser on cello the klipsch horns preform spectacular. Yes they're big. Yes they look out dated. Yes they take up room. Yes they preform in a corner. But your ears are never Pierced or delayed. It's like you are in lock step with a marching band hearing ever pure note.
Those who hate the horns are those who have Inferior equipment or a small room.
In the 1970s I listened to my first pair of horns playing music off of a reel to reel. I soon noticed everywhere I went whether it was a movie theater or church or party there was klipsch speakers. With all the technology today focal is the leader in sound and right there with klipsch. And coming from a hard critic like me that's a high compliment.
Everyone can try to put lip stick on a pig to impress someone with its looks and add a huge price tag. But when you close your eyes and listen that's when you know the difference. Thanks for a great channel.

Hand cnc made😜. They’re great speakers. A bit of a click bait video, but there was some footage. I’m a little surprised they paint right on the mdf without a fiberglass or composite overlay. I wonder if I could copy them. That would be like an old friend of mine that kept refilling his crystal champagne bottle with cheap crap to impress girls. That’s about as close as I’d get to copying them, just the case😳

I'm sorry but $230K speakers made of MDF or HDF just doesn't seem right to me. MDF & HDF are essentially different forms of particle board! For an MSRP of $230K I would at least expect the speaker enclosures to use advanced hi tech materials used by other hi end speaker manufacturers, (Wilson, Vandersteen, YG, Magico, Rockport, etc.)

I kept blowing up my rear speakers with my audiophile-grade auto sound system even though I would make sure the speakers were rated to take the power. Most speakers would last a week or two. The two Focals I tried (which were the most expensive pair I tried) blew up just as I turned the volume past the mid-point. They are over-rated speakers. I will never buy again.
