What you need to understand about Trinidad & Tobago is that it is a land of many diverse cultures, and most importantly, the people of each culture do not stick to their own culture/race. People of every culture enjoy and FULLY participate in every other culture including music, dance, art, food, religious festivals and also down to inter-racial relationships and marriages LOL. Thus, you will find a massive inter-mixture of races and cultures. My mom who is of African descent was mixed with Indian and Scottish. She could cook a mean Chinese or Indian dish, not just the African dishes.
It's hard to be racist when your aunts, uncles, cousins and even your brothers and sisters are of different races! If you agress, smash the I❤Cultural Diversity button below:

As for explaining to foreigners, they dont really care what you are mixed with or married to not if they are world class travellers. They will note the difference in that they look at diversity and yhry do their research before travelling. Of course, seeing is believing.

There are gangleaders with millions of dollars living in big mansions. They are the ones that bring in the guns and drugs . Gangs get drugs on consignment they don't need to have money to get the drugs all they need is a connect they take the drugs and pay later.

That island might be interesting to visit if you have nowhere else to go. Trinidad is small, so you will get through it pretty quickly. Everything looks the same as landscaping and maintenance is nonexistent, so there is wild bush growing everywhere. Although the people went to school, the intellengence level of the man on the street is extremely low compared to the rest of those little caribbean islands. The "Trini" lol thinks its food is amazing, but the food in the caribbean is all the same with minor differences. It's all rice and peas with stew or green curry meat. Macaroni and cheeze, which they make into a pie and ground provision. Just starch and protein. The place is a "CULINARY DESERT" but the natives grew up on that kind of thing, so they believe its the greatest food on the planet.
People are generally proud of their heritage as its the only one they will ever have. But you know how the mother of a convicted criminal will always stand up for her wicked offspring? That's the same with the Trini and their little piece of land that broke off the Venezuelan peninsula. If you like rubbish and fakery smothred in hypoxcracy and lies, then that island will suit you real good.

Trinidad is a beautiful country with diverse ethnicity, food and beauty... however, you need to mention how dangerous it can be ... especially for females. My family is from Trinidad and I went there 2 years ago... going out at night is dangerous unless you go with a big crowd. Females are killed and raped at an extremely high rate... it's considered the 6th country in the world to being the most dangerous. It's very sad... because it was once an amazing place. Read into the country and what to beware of when going. Be safe and bless

Thank you for your comment and yes I do always encourage people to research a country before they visit and I read so many articles about it before I visited to the point I almost didn't want to visit but when I visited, took all precautions I could and avoided any areas I was advised not to, I realised the beauty that is there that most of those other articles and news don't showcase and that is the part I want to show. But I agree everyone should be alert when going and I mention the same in the video. As a solo female traveller, safety is always first. Be blessed😊

So today sadly the government has declared a national emergency because of the sheer violence and murder. This is shockingly sad as I had no idea when I booked my dream Caribbean trip. Great. I’m due to fly to Tobago for a much anticipated holiday in a few weeks. I was so looking forward to this but will likely cancel. I have no interest in supporting serious and organised crime, narcotics and violent murder. There are safer places to visit. Very very sad indeed Tobago. I am also from a tiny island, approximately the same size as yours. I have wanted this trip for years and chose Tobago as it was unspoilt but this is terrible news. I had no idea crime and murder were so rife. It hardly makes anyone want to visit. What a bitter disappointment.
