It's funny how after thinking of getting this exhaust for my Tuono, my favorite Aprilia You-tuber has a video on installing and reviewing the same exhaust! Thank you sir for another great video
Another great video! That exhaust sounds good and looks amazing. After 16 years of wanting one, I finally bought a Tuono and I stumbled on your videos when looking for how to remove the windscreen. Thanks!
After watching your video, I loved the HP corse so much I went to ebay and ordered the Evoxtreme 310 for my RSV4 and installed it too!! Thanks for a great video!! 😃
Hey Albe Sam the neighbor here. Keep up the content and let me know if you would wanna take one of my bikes for a rip. I think it would make a cool video in the future.
Hey Albe, what did you mean when you said that you don't share the torque specs (12:17) because you get burnt about it giving torque out? (Is it from Aprilia, are they saying you can't share the torques)? I really would like to have known what the exact torque was on the bolts/screws. Thanks once again for sharing.
Hi, I meant, I've shared torque specs before, straight from the maintenance manual and it happened to be wrong, there was a misprint on the manual, and never heard the end of it, infinite hate, lol, so now I show how I do it but ask people to refer the manual for exact specs 👍
let me start by saying good job . So would I be able to just hook this on and not have to do any computer upgrade or add power commander? Suggestions do I need to do a computer tuning or no ?
Thank you washers G. No, the HP corse requires a tune, and most of the other Slip-On for the Tuono do too because you are removing the flapper valve and catalytic converter in one swip.
@@AlbesADV happy days mate 👍 I know by unplugging that it can bring a fault but glad it worked out for you. I'm currently running akrapovic and loving it.
@@AlbesADV how much did they charge? I was told by a mechanic that replacing the stock exhaust meant also increasing my supervise interval (the big 12.5k service) down to 6500 miles.
If I remember correctly was around $350. I bet your mechanic would love to cut the maintenance interval in half, 😂 as long as you have the proper tune, the maintenance intervals stay the same, if you modify the intake as well as installing an extreme tume to actually compete in whatever championship then yes, you need to service the bike more often
@@AlbesADV yeah I’m not doing that (halving the service interval). I just had the 12.5k service done on my 2014 tuono, it was out of commission for 3 months waiting for parts (ignition system) because someone tried to Hotwire it.
Nice guide. But I've changed the exhaust of my Tuono V4 rr 2018, after that it has the engine light on. I've changed to the original exhaust but it still have the engine light on the dash. Do you know how to clear it?
Hi JS, if you switched to a full exhaust you need a tune, if you do a Slip-On only but you unplug the flapper valve motor all together you will need a tune, if you just remove the cables but leave the flapper valve motor plugged in you shouldn't have the engine light on. In short it might be because of the flapper valve motor. You can try getting a flapper valve servo eliminator, it's fairly cheap. Let me know how it goes
@@AlbesADV Hi, Maybe because of the flapper valve motor. I had put the original exhaust and its accessories back. and need to pay attention on the cable to the right position. after driving a few hundred meters, the engine light is off. Now I've an appointment with the dealer to change the exhaust and also do the engine mapping with new exhaust. The new one is a slip-on Akra racing. Thank you very much for your reply.
just received my HPcorse slip on and am going to attempt to change it myself, just to be clear the motor will be removed the plug insulated and the cables removed .. and no engine codes or lights will result, did you disconnect the battery first.
Hi, I did disconnect the negative terminal on the battery, if you have an Aprilia racing tune, a flashed ECU or a power commander, you can disconnect the flapper valve motor and get NO codes, if you don't have any of those mods, you can remove the cables but leave the flapper valve motor connected, I hope this helps 👍
Albe, question on F700gs.. im unable to find any videos on Cleaning and Calibrating Intake Air valves. My bike sat all winter, just replaced battery and in idle bike is fine but when I give some throttle and roll off the revs go up to 3K then back down even after I roll off throttle. It does this everything I gave a little throttle. I was told I needed to clean and calibrate intake air valves ? What say u?
Maybe, but maybe the injectors are dirty and they don't spray properly, I would start with the easy things first, clean or replace the spark plugs and add some fuel system cleaner to the fuel. Run it and see if it makes a difference then go from there. I Don't think the intake valves got out of spec just by seating for the winter.
Whatever spark plugs are recommended in your owners manual will do, for the fuel system cleaner you can use Lucas oil , it's pretty good, follow the directions 😀👍
I have SC project crt on my bike and i want to get something a bit less loud but dont want a big can like Akra. Does anyone know how this compares to sc project? Is it a little bit more quiet or its pretty much the same?

Hey Albe! Curious have you ever tried swapping the OEM rubber hand grips with aftermarket ones? If you've ever taken apart the left rubber grip on the Tuono you'll see a plastic protrusion that is covered by the OEM rubber grip. Thanks to that protruding plastic, replacing the OEM rubber hand grip left me a bit scratching my head. Curious what's your opinion on this. Cheers!
Actually my right grip is starting to crack, the bump on the left side is for the traction control paddles, so it cannot be removed, the cleanest solution would be to go with the OEM, otherwise you could try to shave off some rubber from the inside of the left grip to partially get over that bump, good luck Leo 👍
