When a boot company doesn’t show you the process of how their boots are made, I don’t trust them. This is one of the reasons why I enjoy my Jim Greens so much, I was able to watch and appreciate the whole process. I love watching these types of videos.

Keep up the great work and soon the sneaky little frog will be a household name in North America. God bless :)

Received these boots a week ago. After about 20 hours of wearing on and off, they are starting to break in nicely (in my experience, my best boots all require a decent break in). I wasn't a fan of the pattern after seeing in photo, but they were on sale for a good bit cheaper than std razorbacks and I planned on using these exclusively on the trail. The looks have grown on me and I've actually had a few compliments. These are heavy boots and will take some getting used to (in addition to the break in), especially when compared to nylon/mesh mid height boots that seem really popular now. Having said that, I'm sure they will last much longer and can be re-soled. Some have commented on the need for new in-soles and I may try some in the future. They were pretty tight at first, but after the last wearing - 2+ hours with backpack blower, they have loosened up a good bit. I have wide feet and usually wear 9 1/2-10 shoe size to accommodate for the width (true size is 9) and these seem perfect at size 9 - nice wide toe box! I'm ready for an easy 2-3 mile trial hike now and pretty sure no blisters will form and look forward to getting them fully broken in. PS - the "Tyre" tread seems OK, it conforms around small roots and rocks and provides excellent cushion and protection without much foot slippage inside the boot. Once I dial in sock thickness and lace tightness, I'm thinking these soles will be great all-rounders. I haven't had to clean mud from the treads yet, so can't comment on that. It looks like they will need to sit outside while mud hardens, then use the old bang'em together trick - hopefully big chunks will fall out easily. I'm already thinking of future Jim Green styles to get for more everyday use and highly recommend the brand.

Going to buy this one soon! I absolutely love the look of it and want to support your company. I told a friend about this boot as well and he will be buying them too!
Update: Ordered these! Can't wait to wear them!
Update #2: Been wearing them for a while now. They were a bit stiff at first but after wearing them several times they weren't so bad anymore. I got some leather inserts for them and in order to make them fit I had to cut off the toe area of the inserts that came with the boots. The leather inserts are now shaping to my foot, and these are super comfy to wear to work. A friend of mine also bought these boots and uses them to fight wildfires and he says they work great for stomping out fire lol. Overall, I really like the look and feel of this boot. The only thing I wish Jim Green had in their boots was cork filler and leather inside the boot (under foot). Great quality boot for an even greater price. I get a lot of compliments on this boot when I do wear them. And I can wear them with confidence in any type of situation because they are durable as heck. Looking forward to my next pair of Jim Greens!

Update - After putting 20 or so miles on these boots, they have broken in very nicely. No hot spots or heel slippage or need for special lacing. I was considering aftermarket insole and may still experiment with some later. But supplied insole has molded pretty well and I don't see a need ATM. Boots are much more comfortable now vs when new and fit like a glove.

The adhesive holds pretty well, you don't typically see separation within the normal lifespan of the sole. Unlike a cemented boot you can peel off the sole without effecting the structure of the upper so just being glued on makes resoleing very simple
