      Absolutely! Wealth is made in bear markets. We aren’t in a bear yet, but nibbling heavy red days has proven to be fruitful for me over 4 years of investing. I am at 2.25 mil. Biggest positions VOO, VTI, SCHD, VYM, and now looking to build up DRGO alongside finding quality value/growth stocks. I got $48k divs last year in taxable divs. Q2 taxable divs this year was $17,388 this year. Don't sell when the market is down. Right now they are making money on cars mainly. That's their cash cow. The stocks will go up when ever they are going to actually make money on these new tech promises. I Sold at 260, not going to keep money at this promise, we don't know when it's going to happen. I put that money into nvidia and other stocks and I am much better off. So glad I sold, tesla should go up eventually but it's dead money until then.

    Elon talking about self-driving taxis and humanoid robots last night like they were novel technologies was a clear indicator of how far behind Tesla is. 10 years ago that would have been revolutionary. He also reiterated that the robotaxi will only have camera sensors, which could very well be a fatal flaw given recent independent testing that showed Tesla autonomy requires orders of magnitude more frequent interventions when compared with Waymo.

    I strongly disagree with the negative reviews about Tesla’s robotaxi event. They are short-sighted and biased. I believe Tesla is the future, with a strategy focused on long-term growth through more affordable, safe, and advanced cars, including robotaxis and other self-driving vehicles. Tesla’s innovations will revolutionize the market, and any claims that the company is struggling are, in my opinion, nonsensical and lack a forward-thinking perspective.

      I suppose you're looking for the perfect person. Musk could definitely benefit from training by toastmasters and I find him hard to listen to sometimes but at the same time is honest and an engineer and an entrepreneur. Nobody is a master of all skills. Just consider Obama who is a master con man and liar. That is the worst kind of person I know and the destruction they do is horrible. I would much rather listen to a man with vision and a poor delivery then someone with an outstanding delivery with a knife in my back. So a comment for Musk being that he needs some training in public speaking would be more positive than calling him childlike.

    I am no investor but i follow the stocks and the markets. Tesla is a company that did no real updates for over a decade, a company that sells same old mediocre car, with a shameless ceo that makes indecent proposals to famous singers on twitter for billions to see, a ceo that lies constantly and has a very childish and arrogant behavior. He made his fortune on promises that mostly he did not fulfill. He seems to be driven by the urge to be always at the tip of technology. But he is not, and he can't stand that. He even dresses like Jensen from Nvidia and makes big RC robots to appear AI driven, when in fact they are waaaaay behind everyone in AI. Even the AI he put on Twitter is just a free model called Flux he took and implemented just to seem that twitter does AI. Any normal person would never put his money on this man. He is a narcissistic fraud.

    How do you test an unsupervised FSD car? By supervising the car driving itself. The “testing” has been going on by all the supervised cars. When the numbers from the testing results pass safety requirements of the states, it will be ready to launch. I don’t think Tesla is starting to test next year. They are testing, and according to Musk, it will be ready next year.

    Tesla stock went down when model Y was launched, and Tesla Model Y is the best-selling car worldwide in 2023. Buy the rumor, sell the news. Short term vision.
    The We Robot event isn't about Cybercab, Robovan, or even Optimus; what truly matters lies beyond these, and that's where many pessimists are missing the point.Tesla We Robot (and Tesla future) is about FSD which is already installed in 500,000 Tesla cars, and Tesla will launch unsupervised FSD in Texas and California. All existing Tesla will be able have the unsupervised FSD installed, even if people will still be in charge of supervising the car. This will give a massive amount of miles information to improve FSD. That's a massive positive feedback loop. Everything that is mobile will need FSD. A car is a variant of a robot on wheels.
    TESLA can and will sell FSD to other car manufacturers who are behind. Tesla future core business model is Transport as a service, not just a car company.
    institutional and value investors value Tesla as a slowing down car company facing increasing competition in the middle of a price war. They don't buy in what they view is only hype and vaporware. They see - and are very right - the risk that Tesla will fail in financing all these investments while ramping up their car production. That's why tesla is down. That's very good news for those who wants to buy at alower price the amazing future Tesla is preparing. Once unsupervised FSD will be allowed on the roads in Texas and california in 2025 their mindset will switch very fast, the same way they jumped on AI when chatgpt was launched. There is no reason to hurry, you can wait a few month/years to see the future Tesla unfold.

    • @asymmetricinvesting
      @asymmetricinvesting  3 дня назад

      Tesla is valued like a high-growth tech company. It trades for 20x the multiples of an auto stock. Don't tell me institutional and value investors are valuing it too low.
      I'll only add some facts. Tesla isn't going to "launch unsupervised FSD in Texas and California" anytime soon. It MAY begin TESTING next year. It needs to test with safety drivers first to prove efficacy of the system, just like every other autonomy company has done.
      I'll be waiting for the public safety data to be reported when that testing begins.
