You know what? My dream closet has only one hanging rod for dressy stuff, cotton shirts, and dresses. I want the other 2 walls to be floor to ceiling cubby holes, where you roll your sweaters and knit t-shirts and leggings and pants and slide them like tubes into each small cubby hole. I just hate hangers... Wouldn't work for you as you have too many nice dresses that would need ironing if they weren't hung up.
@@TheGlambassador I’d love a shallow drawer with dividers to store belts: that’s the only area in my closet that’s always messy
My family thinks it’s hilarious but not surprised at all I have a dressing room ( I call it my beauty room ). It’s a must when fashion and beauty is such a big part of your life! I love yours ❤

I thought the first dressing room tour was fabulous - this is even better. The full length opening mirror with storage and the rails with the hat hanging system is great . I have all vintage clothing 50's and 60's. I would love to do this. So awesome I sent the video to my husband to see if we could do this in a spare bedroom. I'm hoping he says yes!

I love my clothes, especially my dresses and skirts and sweaters. I can’t wait to move and get a room I can make into a dressing room where I can see everything. I will need to trim down some items I’m sure, but I do an annual assessment so it’s not unusual for me to purge items. Love your room. 🥰👍

We downsized about 6 years ago from a 4 bedroom, 2 story plus a basement, to a 3 bedroom ranch. Luckily, there was a room built onto the back of the garage. It has a separate unit for heat and air, and a closet. We decided to turn that into our "vintage closet". My husbands clothing, shoes and accessories take up much more room than my things. We did Closet Maid racks and shelves along every wall. Double racks on one for separates. We can keep the steamer in there and of course we had to have a small step ladder, because I am short! it works for us. BTW. We each have a small closet in the primary bdrm, but he has the closets in one of the other bedrooms and in the office. I get the small closet in the third bedroom, mostly for sewing and fabric. I use it as my sewing/craft/ office room. Each of those bedrooms also has a bed for when the grandsons come to spend the night. They are used to living with our projects!

SO SO beautiful and extremely organized! I love it! I also noticed your couple of collectible dolls and the fairy doll (Oh! I love a fairy doll, but only have one) I could've been a crazy doll collector! Fortunately, I realized without the disposable income nor the space, it was not something I could indulge. Probably a very good thing!
I love Disney so when those Evil Queen and Maleficent dolls came out, I had to have them. The fairy is a Brian Froud piece that a friend gave me, I love her chaotic hair.
I also have Jen and Kira dolls from The Dark Crystal.

lovely dressing room! keep in mind to close the window light as your clothes will bleach out/get damaged quickly if you don't put doors on your closets (or put your hats in boxes etc). in case you don't do that anyway :) x
There is no direct sunlight in that rooms. I’ve been collecting and wearing vintage for over 30 years, i know how to care for my garments.

Looks like IKEA are now doing proper shoe shelves, if I remember you were using Billy bookshelves for shoes in the past and I wondered if ikea would offer some good shoe storage solutions...I also have a ton of shoes and am planning a dressing room once a child moves out so looking forward to planning that out 🥰
Yes, I used the shorter depth frames for these, but if you want the deeper frames, they have shelves that are double that work well. We did that for my husbands shoes.
The Billy bookcases work well, but I really like these better.

Thanks, we are really happy with this apartment. It was everything we were hoping for. No, Vienna doesn't have a view of the Alps, the closest Alpine mountain range is about 95 km away.

No, we used my old wardrobes for my husband’s clothes and a few other storage solutions in the apartment. Then I bought new ones for my room.

There is no direct sunlight in that room. I have a shade for the window that I always keep down.

I bought her online. I can’t recall the exact website, but I searched for plus size dress form and found her. I made sure it was as close to my measurements as possible.

Thank you. We did buy two AC units this summer. It gets quite warm here and with these old buildings, they retain a lot of heat.

Obviously he fell in love with you as you are... so I'm just curious how much he is into the same vintage wear. I'm imagining lots of argyle sweater vests and felt hats.....! He does like to wear vintage sometimes, but he prefers to stay behind the camera and I respect that boundary. 🥰
