Hey everyone! I’d love to catch up-how have you all been? What’s something exciting or memorable you’ve been up to lately? And just for fun… if you could time travel to any era for a day, where would you go? Let me know below!
I came to your channel because I’m the only person I know in real life who enjoys dressing in vintage clothing. I started making clothes but was too embarrassed to wear them. I’ve always been criticized for being weird by my family and I have a daughter who is easily embarrassed. So from being criticized by my mom and siblings to not wanting to embarrass my daughter, I didn’t dress the way I wanted to. I came to love your channel because you’re living a life I wanted to. So in my sixties, I turned to my husband and asked if it would embarrass him if I dressed in my vintage style clothes. He said, of course not. Now I do and I get so many compliments about my clothes and style. Women want to know where I got my dresses and I’m proud to say I made them. I thank you and other women on RUclips who gave me the confidence to live a better life. You do what makes you happy, my dear. Don’t be forced to do what you don’t want to. Life is short to be unhappy.
I'm plus size and I have had so many hurtful comments about my size that always start with "look I'm not being nasty but......", you are truly incredible
You and anybody else, don‘t owe anyone a certain look, style, bodyshape etc. ! „I‘m not being… but…“ gives so much away, about the speaker, already… and is always followed by something that‘s precisely „…“. If they don‘t like, what they see, they can look away…
@@dottiewi661 Yes it's the same as when someone says "Look no disrespect but..." before saying something disrespectful. It's so cowardly and dishonest.
It amazes me the horrible things say nowadays like they are helping you. Especially if you didn't ask for their help. People will say things on line they were never say in public, because they innately know it crosses a line. And if they don't, Why not?
I am a 60 year old woman watching from Niederösterreich. Welcome to Austria ❤❤❤ I just discovered you channel and I think you look really beautiful. Like a very warm hearted, genuine and interesting person you want to get to know better and spend a good time with 🙂You remind me of my grandmother when she was very young. A wonderful time periode… I love vintage fashion, furniture, artwork, movies and such… everything that represents a healthier and slower lifestyle….Thanks for your work on RUclips 🙏
Slow and steady wins the race. You have real style, grace and beauty that most people couldn’t even dream of. You’re truly talented, please know that about yourself and enjoy who you are. You’re an inspiration. Unfortunately, that means you will attract envy and haters. I hope you ignore them. Vienna is beautiful, enjoy your amazing life.
Welcome back, I've missed you so much. I have been plus sized all my life. Misserable childhood, called horrible names. Ashamed of how i looked as a young person. Getting older, i felt out of step and longed to feel better about myself. But how......then i found you , you changed my life. You looked amazing, and i knew that was how i wanted to look.. I started with small changes and now dress vintage all of the time. It gives me so much joy.You completely changed my life, and I'm so grateful. Thank you.
Your makeup is flawless, your clothes are beautiful, your style is timeless, You have a community of almost 18,000 people, that's a lot of people! Just do what you enjoy and don't worry about anyone else. I just subscribed and cannot wait to see what's next.
Negative arrows are designed to dim your light. Know your worth. Your beautiful self shines through the arrows. Your artistry, creativity and inspiration is a gift that we hope to continue to enjoy. Blessings ✨
Heard you for the first time today and was blown away by your honesty and beautiful self disclosure. You are a rocking strong, centered woman. While I am not the greatest vintage devotee, your qualities of character made me subscribe to your post and want to explore the dimensions of vintage that inspire you so much. I look forward to hearing what you have to say.
I totally understand what you said about how bad comments can affect. I'm a jeweller and have a eshop, the vast majority of my reviews are fantastic and very sweet but when sometimes I recieve a bad one, it totally put me on a dark mood, even if I always do my best. And there's nothing we can do about it, unfortunately human mind works like that. Once I read that it takes somewhere between 10-to-12 positive reviews to make up for one negative!!! And lets be honest, rude, mean and non empathetic people exist and it will always be that way. I learned so much from you that I will always be grateful! You gave me the confidence to go outside dressing 30's and I learned the skills to manage to have real 30s curls and waves with my 3B curly hair. THANK YOU! Bisous from Paris
Hello from a new friend that thinks your channel is amazing! I just began watching your recent vintage story and am so glad I've found you. I feel like we are kindred spirits and have so much in common from clothing, home decor, enjoying the basics of building a beautiful comfortable home and just living for the beauty around us! I have always spent hours on fashion creating outfits that are beautiful on plus size women. That's why I learned to sew over 40 years ago so I could create the clothing and fashion that wasn't always available for women needing plus sizes. I love pleated skirts, wool sweaters, scarves and coats for this season. My home is filled with antiques, treasures from my grandmother and special decor I have created to make my home look like stepping into the past. I can tell we have so much in common we could talk for hours and rediscover a treasure trove of past lifestyles. So happy I've found your channel and look forward to watching many episodes to enjoy.
Thank you for your honesty, I really empathise with you. I'm a very sensitive person and comments really do hit hard sometimes. I'm sorry you have to through this and read these cruel comments *virtual hug* I'm happy to hear you're coming out the other side and feeling a bit better and the creative juices are flowing again. I love your content so I'll be here for it all 😊
So glad to see you making your way back to us, you've been truly missed. Authentic people are really something I feel like is missing representation online especially here on YT. So thank you for for that.
Oh my goodness! Seeing new shorts and a video pop up on your channel made me so happy. I assumed things would go quiet while you moved, but I was definitely sad wondering if were you done with RUclips. I am very picky about what I consume online and this channel and a few others are so positive and some of the few I follow. I’m definitely exploring the 1940s and early 1950s slow living and cultural ideas from the time period (1946- 1955ish) is my sweet spot. Best wishes!!
Thanks for being vulnerable and letting us know what’s been going on. Your new apartment in Vienna is SO lovely! I’d love to see some of your adventures around the city.
Welcome back and it's good to hear you're doing better now. I'm sorry you felt so down about things. "Comparison is the thief of joy" is one of my favorite sayings and it makes perfect sense. Keep being yourself and doing what is best for you. You are lovely both inside and out!❤
Welcome back, Christine. 🙏☺️ First, you look stunning, your hair, that sweater and how its color brings out the gorgeous color of your eyes. 😍. I appreciate your vulnerability in this video and I want you to know that you and your content is unique, in the best way possible. And so. I will continue to keep coming back for more. I would enjoy seeing Vienna with you, lifestyle, cool cultural differences, hair, fashion, home decor. If I could, I would time travel visit the 20s and 30s for the fashion! 🤩
I just found your channel and although I am just a country bumpkin who is usually in comfy pants and flannel shirts I can really appreciate your style and artistic flair. Thank you for your hard work and dedication….I plan to try a hair turban thanks to you! Keep being your authentic self. Your new online friend, Jackie
This is the first video I'm seeing of yours and I clicked because I LOVE that sweater you're wearing! If there's is more to come of such lovely pieces I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. 🎉
So glad to see you back here! The negative comment thing is SO valid, and as a content creator we get more opinions aimed at us than most, and definitely hit hard when they're consistently coming back to criticize you. I've been feeling that a LOT lately, having videos go beyond my usual realm and getting people who don't take the time to get to know me before they comment, and it is so frustrating. Especially because I LOVE engaging with the comments. Also, I think we are artists in a way, as content creators, and art is meant to be seen and shared. Anyway, I'm glad to see you making videos again, looking forward to whatever you put out!
You have been such a positive influence on my life. Over the years I have learned so much and am a confident vintage person- every day- thanks to you. I'm sorry to hear how difficult things have been. Also sorry to hear about the knee surgery. That is how I started the year! One of the amazing parts of this video was saying that what you create is authentic. It truly is and always speaks to the special person you are.
Thank you for coming back to us. Your presence was missed. I’m a vintage stylist/Francophile. I have enjoyed watching your flair for all things that light you up. It’s contagious! You inspire me!
I'm so glad to see you back on RUclips and it's such a shame that the haters have made you not want to post. But I do get it! I'm starting to get a few unsolicited advice and it's not nice at all... You are a very classy and beautiful woman and you have a lot of interesting things to share with the world. So welcome back! ❤❤
I'm a fairly new subscriber and when I found u I was so excited! I love everything about u; your beauty, your fashion, your decorating style. I think u are one of the most authentic and BEAUTIFUL women I've ever seen. What I wouldn't give for your gorgeous hair and peachy skin😊 I'm 64, and I've lived most of my life experiencing the sort of criticism you describe. Just know that u have more supporters than critics and we just can't get enough of u! Thank u for being such a lovely roll model and vintage community ambassador. You are such a great source of inspiration and a wealth of knowledge. I am so looking forward to future videos and I know whatever content u put out will be top notch! We love u!❤
I am really sorry for all of the negativity you have had to endure. I dont understand people. I pray that recover both outside and inside. Wherever life takes you, there are some of us who are always wishing you well and you bring a smile to our faces. Thank you for that. God Bless you.
"comparison is the thief of joy"" I hadn't heard that, love it. Something for all of those who create - whatever the medium - need to remember. I'm so glad I came across your videos.
The reality is that people criticize to feel superior. They are cowards. I came upon your channel and after hearing your thoughts, have subscribed. I look forward to your content ,as vintage and may I say, traditional is what I prefer. Words spoken cannot be unheard. Apologies may happen, but the scar is there. God helps us to live with the scars. They make us stronger.
Thank you for always being honest! Your channel is my favorite. I’ve learned so much from you! I’m not plus size but definitely not small. You have helped me be confident and comfortable in my own vintage style! Never stop being your authentic self!
Your channel popped up on my screen and I am glad I clicked on it to watch (like/subscribe) as I really got a lot out of listening to your perspectives about your experiences. I get the negative comments because it is very much globally on 'loud speaker at full throttle' at this time on social media platforms. Your approach to that in this video is to be commended and elevates you to another level of being free to exercise further exciting content creation. How absolutley marvelous! Let's celebrate ... ok so where would I "...time travel to any era for a day" That is easy - your channel for inspiration in curating vintage with a modern take to bring it into the 21st Century (which will also support the planet to regenerate). Thank You for being YOU.
I moved to Ireland from the U.S. a decade ago and that alone was a huge transition + culture shock for me. It's hard for me to imagine what the impact of several moves between U.S. and Europe would be on top of all the other things you've had to go through! You certainly have my empathy and I am glad to hear you're getting back into things at your own pace. 🙂 You are beautiful and everything you do is top notch -- looking forward to seeing/reading more content as you are ready! (I selfishly love catalogue flip-throughs, but I like all things vintage tbh.)
What a big move for you, I hope you are loving living in Ireland. I offer some magazine flip books on my Patreon. Sadly the ones I’ve done here as a video don’t seem to do well. But I love them as well 🥰
I hope that my fellow citizens in Vienna behave better towards you than some of the viewers here who write nasty comments. I'm sure many would be very happy to know that you are here with us now, living the life you show us here. Vienna is a nostalgic place and with people who love classic and vintage things. Don't give up, there are nice, intelligent, lovely people - it just takes time to find them. Like any good relationship. All the best to you! :)
Thank you! I have felt very welcomed by Vienna. Though I haven't met that many actual Viennese people. But all in all, people here have been wonderful. It's mostly the internet trolls (though some did claim to be Viennese).
I am 72 . I am professional singer ,song writer, and a one woman band. I have been on a stage since I was 11 years old. I have been fat and people would say you are too fat. I have been skinny and yet others would berate me for being too thin. I have had people come up to me in a performance and say that I was a lousy guitarist or pianist. It used to be to get to me as well, but then I looked around and my bar was packed . Not even any standing room only space with people waiting outside to get in to see my show. I realized that there were more people that liked me that didn’t. Unfortunately it’s baked into our professions. So now if someone tells me they don’t like what I am doing or how I am doing it I just reply “ If you don’t like it… get your own dam show”. That usually shut them up . As far as my appearance I would say if someone called me fat I would say” Well I may be fat and I can lose weight, but YOU are ugly and an A-hole ….. and by the way “How many people are standing outside waiting to get inside to see you do ANYTHING! Hang in there girlfriend your fans will always have your back!
New subscriber as of today! I love all things vintage and am excited to explore your channel. One of my favourite quotes is from Ram Dass: “To compare yourself with others is to forget the uniqueness of your own journey.” You are unique and have so much to offer the world. I’m glad you will continue to share your journey, and I look forward to coming along as well 🥰 Thank you for being exactly who you are.
Hi Christine, you have been missed here! I remember you mentioning on Insta that some people had been so mean on your moving video. It is ridiculous how quick people are to post assumptions, negativity and inappropriate things in the comment section. :( But I'm glad see you are coming back, and I can't wait to see new videos in the future.🖤
I'm so happy when I find your videos. You show so many great things and you are lovely. I love your style! I'm truly sorry that some people can be so cruel and unfeeling but please remember there are people who support you and appreciate what you do. We love you ! ❤❤❤
Your video just showed up and I gave it a shot… loved the morning windows… is that a 50’s hair wrap?… oooo a chenille bedspread… and you’re covering the pillows!!!! Pause video!!!! Writing this comment to say at the 2 minute mark you’ve got a new subscriber! Lol let’s get going!!!
I'm so glad to see you back! There are so many mean- spirited jealous people out there whose only joy in life is to hurt or debase others. We should really pity them rather than let them have any power over us and our feelings. Enough said! I love your content and look forward to many new videos from you. I think you are amazing!❤
It's lovely to see you again, Christine! I missed your videos and I was so happy to see a new post from you. I'm sorry about the negative comments and critique you've experienced, people can been so hurtful with their negativity without considering that the person behind the video has feelings... I've always loved your videos and your personal style and look forward to new videos from you❤ Oh, if I could go to any era for a day? That would be Paris in the 1920's for sure.
You have been missed. I love your channel & it is so good to see you again. I follow you on Instagram but so glad to see you back on You Tube. Just keep being your beautiful, glamorous, authentic self that we love.❤
Your authenticity is so refreshing. It’s why I followed you to begin with. Glad you’re finding your inspiration again! I’m here for the ride. Keep being you. ❤
You’ve been through a lot. I wish you the very best and hope that you settle into your new life. Sorry about those negative comments. You are fantastic. We need you in our lives. Get better and keep doing what you’re doing.
Looking forward to seeing videos from you again! I’m so sorry some folks were discouraging. I can tell how much thought and research and creativity go into all your videos. They are beautiful. Hope you’re feeling better after your surgery. Viel Spaß beim filmen und schreiben!
I was so glad to see a new video from you this morning, but I'm so sorry about all the cr@p you described. I've always enjoyed your channel so much because I love vintage stuff and I love how you present vintage topics. Your channel is just full of beauty, including you! 💙
Well, I'm very happy to see you back! I have missed your content - there is honestly no-one else quite like you on here 😊 You absolutely have to do what ya gotta do for your own wellbeing - if that means taking a break, re-evaluating, rediscovering your mojo - so be it. Also - you always look extraordinarily beautiful. Your hair, make-up and outfits are always absolutely on-point - *chef's kiss* Welcome back ❤
Love your channel! Found you when looking for more info on my vintage hats. Thank you for your videos they have struck a new spark for me with my hats 👒
Hi. I’m glad you popped up in my feed today. I love vintage so I looking forward to watching you channel. Have a wonderful week and hope you’re enjoying your new city.
Eight years ago, I had burn out so bad that even carrying my handbag felt too much and everything felt so heavy and burdensome. Friends calling or writing - hearing their problems seemed too much (quite the opposite to my usual self). Thank goodness, it only took me 6 months to get back on my feet again mostly because, I knew that I have to be there for my daughter who is a person of special needs. My day job seeps every last bit of living fibre in me which means the passion I feel for photography, writing and creativity in general has suffered immensely. The fact that you still have managed to show up here, create such beautiful videos, look so beautiful and moving to another country, is something that requires a great deal of energy and respect. I hope you are enjoying Vienna so far; it's autumn now and things can be a bit "boring" although, I love the coffee shop culture and lingering without rushing.
I'm glad to hear that you are making your way out of the burnout. Autumn here in Vienna has been absolutely magical. It's my favorite season and it has not disappointed.
I 100% love your authenticity ❤️✨ I’m sorry to hear you have been going through a rough time, and that there have been so many hurtful comments… Happy to hear you have reignited the spark of content creation and your blog! 👏🏻✨
I just found you on RUclips but have followed you on Instagram. You are an amazing woman. Fully inspirational. Your style, the way you carry yourself.. personal integrity, etc... INSPIRATIONAL. I am a plus sized gal as well. It's hard to remember... comparison IS the thief of JOY. I struggle with comparison as well. Hold on to the joy of who you are. Your self-expression is nothing but beautiful! It is enabling! It is empowering!! I am happy to hear you are getting your joy back. I'm so excited to follow whatever you share. 😊
great to see you back and hope you are enjoying your stay in Vienna - a holiday sights video would be welcome, I would also suggest getting a friend, or hiring someone to screen your comments for you, a friend of mine has done this now for years and it's really brought them peace of mind. The more I know of history, the more I would not want to go back in time, with the exception of recent history, maybe going back to see Bowie in concert as Ziggy Stardust, that is within my lifetime, if I could just look back and 'see' and hear, probably Tang Dynasty China.
I have only just discovered your channel 💝 and even before you started expressing your thoughts I was struck by your physical beauty which also extends into the sophisticated atmosphere you have created in your space. You look and are wonderful, DO NOT LET ANYONE DULL YOUR SPARKLE ✨
Hi, from North Carolina USA. I just came across your channel and I love your theme, look, Glamour of the 40's and Vintage style. You are so lovely and very Beautiful; you can slay Red Lipstick and porcelain skin like Marylin Monroe. I was in the Beauty Industry for 34 years and worked for the top Companies in the Country. Estee Lauder Executive, Clinique Education Manager, and Elizabeth Arden when I started out. You are great at teaching application of beauty products, tips and techniques. I have always wanted to travel to Austria especially Vienna so embrace your new home and it will inspire the creative side that you most certainly have. I look forward to your next post until then I will enjoy all your previous episodes. ♥
I binged your channel when I found you a couple years ago. I really love your channel! ❤ I’m so sorry about all the rude comments. I am a lover of everything vintage. I collect vintage cookbooks, as well as beauty books. From all of the people online who do vintage style - you are the most authentic - in my opinion! Vintage might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but you are appreciated by those of us who do love it. Thank you for sharing your honesty. It’s not an easy thing to do! ❤❤❤
I'm so glad you're back!! I've been in a rut with my vintage look myself. I'm missing my spark. Your videos were always a source for vintage inspiration. I need to re-watch them.
I just found your channel (it appeared on my YT homepage) and love what you share, your intelligence and eloquence and I find the info and details you share so cool to learn. I have already binge-watched a few of your videos. I found you bc youtube showed me one of your videos on my homepage- this is in mid-november 2024, after years of watching some vintage channels, so I'd say maybe youtube isn't pushing you out but as you gain more viewers they will, I hope. I'd also guess vintage is a much smaller niche than more modern or popular topics, so someone who posts about a more broadly-appealing topic might have faster growth, it's just the nature of your topic. Your topic is niche so your community might be smaller but still passionate. Read 1000 true fans. Some YTers who cover vintage who have more followers have been doing this for many many years and that adds up. I also remember watching a YTer who mentioned for years they slogged but then the growth just really compounded all of a sudden. it is absolutely, no question, an incredibly difficult job to keep going without rewards and you are absolutely NORMAL for needing positive feedback, we all do to keep us going. As for the negative commenters, I wonder if you can just immediately think of them as 'ticks" and block? The internet has brought out the best and worst of humanity and given them all an equal voice. I bet most people who watch you love your stuff and dont comment at all, but the miserable people who have no one to talk to in real life because they suck just spread hate like a parasite, and thier comments, bc they sting so much, seem more potent than the positive ones (and they also seem more potent due to our own negativity bias where we naturally give more weight to the - than the +). They dont like to see someone else shining and try to drag others down. You are doing something with your life and all they do is try to knock you down...and what are they contributing to society? What are they creating, but hurt? Are they devoting hours to creating informative videos that others can try to take down with a 1 minute comment? Block block block. I wouldnt have even written this comment, just another person who silently liked your stuff, but I felt the need to. also people who comment on your appearance must be really myopic and BORING, in and out of the bedroom. They can't appreciate the many different ways and shapes beauty manifests herself. Anyway I hope you keep going. I think it would be cool to think of dealign with haters as mental jujitsu - learn how to become an expert in dealing with them, oherwise they win and another beautiful voice will be silenced. You're way smarter than them, keep going, you seem to be meant to share information and vermin don't like that. They don't deserve an ounce of your attention. Probably you can find YT videos on how to deal with haters and that may help. A big problem with the internet - well it's a double edged sword - is we all have access to each other. When I used to use facebook, one of the slowest kids in my high school, and the woman I used to work with who was so unbeievably daft that other coworkers told me to try to stop explaining things to her because she was too stupid to understand basic concepts - those two people felt free to constantly comment on my FB page about nuanced topics they had no knowledge about, and no capacity to even begin to understand (at least I know there is so much I don't know!). These are people who normally would have no access to me because I would never encounter them long-term naturally nor would I nver let them into my inner circle. I was in the gifted program and would never see that kid without basic cognitive capablity in school. The daft woman at my old job I learned to dodge like the plague. and yet there they were, constantly commentig on my FB - maybe becaue no one in IRL would givem them much attention, knowing these people were not worth their time. Eventually I blocked them both online, but my point is, not everyone deserves your light, access to you, or to be able to engage with you, but everyone has access to you bc of the open nature of the internet - but I think you can block them (not sure, I'm not a YTer) and remove access to you from the people who don't deserve the benefit of your knowledge. There is such a thing as being too nice, you don't have to let everyone in. It's a skill I'm trying to learn too. And I thank you for sharing this because it seems obvious to me that some peopel don't deserve access to you, your intelligence etc. It's easy to see it in other people but harder to realize when it's myself. This is something I've struggled with in real life, trying to give the crappiest people the benefit of the doubt, being overly kind to people who don't deserve it, giving morons' opinions weight when their thoughts aren't worth a penny - other people IRL would know to avoid these people like the plague - but online it's harder because these people are anonymous, so it's harder to have context abut them and realize a lot of these people are the very same people who people have cut out becaus of their negativity and trolling. When you respond or give weight to these comments, you are elevating these people to a status they don't deserve. Easier said than done becaus we have natual emotional reactions to their comments but it's an important skill to learn to block them out. I'm not religious at all -- but there is a saying from the bible I was forced to read as a kid that comes to mind - "Don't cast your pearls before swine. If you do, the pigs will trample the pearls with their little pigs' feet, and then they will turn back and attack you." Luckily there are people out there who care and are grateful for what you share. Anyway best of luck to you and please keep going. Thanks for the great videos.
Just saw some of your videos today and I truly love the vintage look especially how your hair is styled . I’ve been inspired to try the vintage look for myself especially in the hair and make up. It’s very inspiring
I so look forward to your posts wherever they may be. You have helped me to dress how i love as a plus sized woman. I hope your difficulties resolve speedily. Thank you for all the content 💜💜
I'm so pleased to see your face here on youtube again! I understand needing to go back to the well (and stay there for a bit) to get your creativity going. I've moved across the country a few times and even that took at least a year to settle into, so I think the adjustment period to a new country, even for a pro like you, must be tough. I think everything you make is interesting and I would really love to see more of Vienna and anywhere else you might travel, through your vintage lens. I think I would like to see what Europe was like in the 50's and 60's, when so many things were changing and being rebuilt.
Hello!!! Just joined bc of your authenticity and caring heart. I never was interested in vintage style or living abroad but I am open to new perspectives especially from such a beautiful individual. Thank you for being so SEEN and looking forward to getting to learn more from such an amazing person. God bless from USA❤
I’m so sorry you have gotten so many draining comments. It is hard sometimes to not say something online that is negative, but I am always glad i just kept it to myself. The whole world doesn’t need to hear my opinion. You have been a wonderful encouragement to me in my journey to embrace my own style that happens to lean vintage. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you for continuing to create - as others have said as well, the hesitation to embrace my love of vintage has always tied to not feeling I could because I'm not a size 2 in my 20s (plus size and 52 instead) and so finding your channels showing beautiful plus size vintage content helps my confidence. You are making an impact, your audience is here, and you're doing a great job - I miss folks blogging as well so excited you're getting back into it!
It’s important to own our unique style and I’m glad you’re finding inspiration in my vintage journey! I'm 48, almost 49, so yeah I feel the ageism at times too. But we have to look at how fortunate we are that we GET to age, not everyone has that good fortune 🥰
Thank you for sharing what’s been going on with you. And very much looking forward to your future content. We’re here for the journey. In answering what I’m interested in. How about Christmas markets or are there vintage flea markets or just holiday decorating on older buildings, maybe?
I watched a few videos around the time of your apartment hunting. Didn’t subscribe, because I’m more interested in homes and moving more than the rest of your content. I was excited to see you pop up in my feed, and I’m looking forward to this update. Subscribed, and settled in to watch.
Thanks for sharing such an honest video. I always look forward to all your posts & content with such anticipation, such is your absolute impeccable style!! It is with 'hand on heart' that I say, you are beautiful & welcome back! Xxx
It was viewing your channel that made me take another look at vintage clothing and I am happy to say I have acquired a few pieces. I would love to see videos of Vienna - the parks, the cafes and the shops. And of course what vintage shops are like in this city. I have recently bought a knitting book on Tyrolean cardigans which came into fashion in the 1930s, so I would especially love to see if you can track down any of this knitwear and also vintage dirndl outfits. Moving to another country is incredibly exhausting so please don't apologise for taking a rest from content creation. We all need our fallow periods. Thank you for the effort and inspiration you put into your work.
I'm so glad that you are dipping your toe into vintage style. Thank you so much for your support, I hope you enjoy the videos that I've been putting out.
I don’t understand why you would get nasty comments. This is the first time I see you on RUclips, and I see a lovely woman who is very stylish, elegant and lovely. You also express yourself in an intelligent, genuine and polite way, so I am planning to watch more of your videos to see what fascinating things you have to share about style, traveling and life in general. ❤️🌞🌎🌈
Thank you for your sharing. I am grateful you continue to be present and I am so glad you are finding your mojo again. Take your time, take care of yourself. Be well.
It’s wonderful to see you Christine 🥰 I’m so sorry to hear that you’ve been struggling, but so glad you’ve taken the time out to self-care. Your community will always be here, regardless of the algorithm 😉 thank you for sharing so openly - I am certain many of us can sympathise, and it’s always helpful to know one is not alone in life’s struggles. Have a wonderful week and continue to shine brightly from your heart outwards 🥰🌟
It's wonderful to see you again and I hope you are starting to feel more settled and beginning to feel creative again. I've been there myself and it's so difficult to get out of that place but it does happen and it will take time to get back to yourself again ❤
I was immediately drawn to the thumbnail of this video - it made me think ‘who is this gorgeous woman?’ I subscribed within seconds of seeing you opening your curtains. What a bonus for me that you live in Vienna - it’s one of my favourite places, it’s my dream to spend about one year there.
This is the first of your videos that the algorithm has put in my feed. Your content is right up my alley. Vienna is a beautiful city; I have been fortunate to go three times and that is not enough. Your home is so lovely and I admire your sense of style. I have definitely subscribed.
I saw you on the utube feed and clicked because I love old Hollywood black and white movies, the dress, makes up, hairstyles, furniture, architecture, etc…so your look captures my interest. I almost clicked off b/c I thought this was an “I’m ending my channel b/c of mean comments, etc talk,” which I am glad it was not! I LOVE that you are plus size and doing your thing. I have not mustard up enough confidence to do that, but I think your look, style is just so wonderful! I’m excited about checking out your other content!! Just keep moving forward. It is sometimes when we are busy doing what we love and having fun that the numbers and viewers grow, and even if they don’t, you are blessed to be doing what you love. All the best!
FIRST TIME VIEWER love your style 💕 especially loved the way you make a bed exactly how my Gran taught me when I was a little girl with the bed quilt over the pillow xx it took me back to my time with her 🙏 Keep doing you xx
I always love watching your channel. You've helped me along my vintage journey so thank you very much. Please, keep on making the wonderful content you do. I'm in awe of your beautiful bedspread and your lovely vintage hair. I've been to Vienna twice and it's a beautiful city. You're very lucky to live there. Best wishes from Sydney 🙏😊
I have been following you on Instagram for over a year now and I had no idea you had a RUclips channel. Luckily RUclips suggested this video and I subscribed😊. Just wanted to show some support here and let you know that I love your content, the way you dress and do your hair, even though I do not live a vintage lifestyle myself. Looking forward to future videos, as and when you feel inspired 💕
Well I'm so glad you've found me. I try really hard to promote my channel, but the other platforms really suppress anything like that. I really appreciate your support and I hope you enjoy my videos.
Welcome back, I’ve been so excited for your return as I only found you before your move. I just presumed that you were in a settling in period. Keep going, I’m sorry that you’ve been made to feel the way you have.. I enjoy your ideas for head scarves ..love from the UK.. 🇬🇧
Hi 😀, and welcome to Vienna 🧡; the perfect city for vintage style, you will find so many interesting things! Vienna is slow living, which is a huge advantage in comparrison, the food is absolutely great, and so many things are really old school and still vintage, I think you've come to the right place. My grandmother was a real Viennese woman. She survived WWII with her three kids, while my grandfather was taken and they did not know where he was. I learned a lot of recipes from here, and a lot about the war, I miss her very much. Being 68 now, I sometimes think I should look for relatives, and visit my favorite places in Vienna, which is the Opera of course, the Sacher, the Stephans Dom, and the artists cafe my father used to go to, the Cafe Hawelka. I think your channel is great, you have found the perfect niche and I'm enjoying your style. Sending best wishes from Germany 🤗👋🇺🇸
Wow what a beauty you are… You look like snow white! Also, I love your home decor! Your home looks like a cozy vintage paradise 🤗 I just discovered your videos yesterday, and have watched 10 of them already. I’m very grateful to have stumbled across your content. Keep up all the fabulous work you do!
Hi beautiful lady !!!❤❤❤❤I also live in Vienna but for over thirty Years and all I can say is you are gorgeous and keep doing you .The haters do not have anything else too do but hate.I wish you God‘s blessings and lots of joy🥰
Just found your channel, and happy to follow you as you settle in to your life in Vienna. We relocated from Washington state to Berlin in 2020, so I know how challenging life can be in a new environment especially when dealing with health issues. I admire your ability to share your adventures here, and you do indeed embody glamour and vintage style. You seem to be a genuinely beautiful person. 🥰
Hi! I'm so happy to see new videos! I found you when I was looking for vintage inspired sewing videos and really enjoyed your content. I'm a stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious middle-aged PhD student; BUT you inspired me to zuhzh up my everyday look, even if I'm just going to lab or writing, and it has helped my confidence. Thanks so much!
Hey everyone! I’d love to catch up-how have you all been? What’s something exciting or memorable you’ve been up to lately? And just for fun… if you could time travel to any era for a day, where would you go? Let me know below!
I would go to the city of my birth, Los Angeles during the 1920s. My grandmother talked about her time that decade and it sounded like a lot of fun.
@ that would be great!
Just to let you know that I think that you and the look you are cultivating are beautiful.
Greetings from Australia. I would love to go back to the 40's or 50's. It would be interesting to see what life was like in the era.
Someplace pre-industrial revolution. It would be fascinating to breathe the air without modern day pollution.
Thank you for sharing your story, it’s so inspiring!
It would be so lovely if you started a YT channel to teach us how to sew vintage clothes. I have zero experience but I would love to learn!
@ if I knew how to sew, I would absolutely do that. I would like to learn at some point and if I do start, I’ll share the journey with you.
good for you, doing what you want!
I love your channel!
I'm plus size and I have had so many hurtful comments about my size that always start with "look I'm not being nasty but......", you are truly incredible
Yeah, any comments on peoples bodies are just not ok. I’m sorry you’ve experienced that hurt ❤️
You and anybody else, don‘t owe anyone a certain look, style, bodyshape etc. ! „I‘m not being… but…“ gives so much away, about the speaker, already… and is always followed by something that‘s precisely „…“. If they don‘t like, what they see, they can look away…
@@dottiewi661 ❤️❤️❤️
🥰🥰🥰
Welcome back, I've missed you so much. I have been plus sized all my life. Misserable childhood, called horrible names. Ashamed of how i looked as a young person. Getting older, i felt out of step and longed to feel better about myself. But how......then i found you , you changed my life. You looked amazing, and i knew that was how i wanted to look.. I started with small changes and now dress vintage all of the time. It gives me so much joy.You completely changed my life, and I'm so grateful. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing that with me 🥰
Your makeup is flawless, your clothes are beautiful, your style is timeless, You have a community of almost 18,000 people, that's a lot of people! Just do what you enjoy and don't worry about anyone else. I just subscribed and cannot wait to see what's next.
I'm so glad you're here, I'm excited to have you join the community. 😊
Negative arrows are designed to dim your light. Know your worth. Your beautiful self shines through the arrows. Your artistry, creativity and inspiration is a gift that we hope to continue to enjoy. Blessings ✨
You are so lovely 🥰 and you’ve been so very missed. Huge congratulations on your move to Austria.
Thank you so much! I'm glad to be back!
Chenille bedspread. Swoon……!! And, Your ceilings are SO HIGH! Enjoy and live your best life! Greetings from Florida!❤
Thank you! I love that bedspread, too. 🥰
🥰🥰🥰
That is wonderful to hear, you're right, we do share a love for those things and I'm so excited you found my channel!
Thank you for your honesty, I really empathise with you. I'm a very sensitive person and comments really do hit hard sometimes. I'm sorry you have to through this and read these cruel comments *virtual hug*
I'm happy to hear you're coming out the other side and feeling a bit better and the creative juices are flowing again. I love your content so I'll be here for it all 😊
So glad to see you making your way back to us, you've been truly missed. Authentic people are really something I feel like is missing representation online especially here on YT. So thank you for for that.
Thank you so much!
That’s very kind of you, I’m so happy to hear you enjoy the channel.
Thanks for being vulnerable and letting us know what’s been going on. Your new apartment in Vienna is SO lovely! I’d love to see some of your adventures around the city.
Vienna has so much to explore, I’m excited to share it with you!
I have always wondered why some people are so negative & judgmental. You are much appreciated, Christine ❤
Welcome back and it's good to hear you're doing better now. I'm sorry you felt so down about things. "Comparison is the thief of joy" is one of my favorite sayings and it makes perfect sense. Keep being yourself and doing what is best for you. You are lovely both inside and out!❤
Thank you so much, you're so kind!
Thank you for your kind words and I'm excited to show you all the cool things I've been discovering in Vienna!
I'm so glad you found me. Learning to tie a headscarf is a fantastic skill. I'm sure you are going to love wearing them.
This is the first video I'm seeing of yours and I clicked because I LOVE that sweater you're wearing! If there's is more to come of such lovely pieces I'm looking forward to seeing more from you. 🎉
Thank you! I’m so glad you liked the sweater 😊 I do have several vintage fashion videos if you are looking for inspiration.
Such a sweet and authentic conversation. Just keep doing you. 💚
Thank you, I appreciate it!
You’ve definitely built up my courage! It’s wonderful to travel along with you, your journey and your passion.
Thank you, I'm so glad my journey is inspiring you!
I’m so happy to hear you feel confident in your vintage style, that’s what I hope for with all my videos!
Thank you for coming back to us. Your presence was missed. I’m a vintage stylist/Francophile. I have enjoyed watching your flair for all things that light you up. It’s contagious! You inspire me!
That means so much to me, I’m glad you enjoy my content!
This is the first time seeing your channel. Looks great! Hope you continue to post. Look forward to seeing more.
Welcome, I'm so glad you're here and I hope you check out all of my previous videos in the meantime.
I'm a fairly new subscriber and when I found u I was so excited! I love everything about u; your beauty, your fashion, your decorating style.
I think u are one of the most authentic and BEAUTIFUL women I've ever seen. What I wouldn't give for your gorgeous hair and peachy skin😊
I'm 64, and I've lived most of my life experiencing the sort of criticism you describe.
We love u!❤
It means a lot that you find my content inspiring, I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
Hi Christine, I truly enjoy all your authentic videos!
Stay true to yourself. Much love to you always! ❤
That’s so kind of you, I appreciate it!
Thank you for always being honest! Your channel is my favorite. I’ve learned so much from you! I’m not plus size but definitely not small. You have helped me be confident and comfortable in my own vintage style!
Never stop being your authentic self!
That's so kind of you to say! I'm glad you enjoy the channel.
But I love them as well 🥰
Congrats!! I’m glad you were able to take the time you needed and feel re-energized! What a perfect timing to go into the new year.
It's definitely a good feeling to be able to come back with a renewed passion!
I’m glad you will continue to share your journey, and I look forward to coming along as well 🥰
Thank you for being exactly who you are.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot.
It's really disheartening but I'm grateful for the positive comments like yours.
I'm so happy when I find your videos. You show so many great things and you are lovely. I love your style! I'm truly sorry that some people can be so cruel and unfeeling but please remember there are people who support you and appreciate what you do. We love you ! ❤❤❤
Thank you for your kind words, it means a lot!
I'm so glad you enjoyed my morning routine. The hair wrap is a microfiber wrap, it's what I use when I wash and set my hair.
I'm so glad to see you back! There are so many mean- spirited jealous people out there whose only joy in life is to hurt or debase others. We should really pity them rather than let them have any power over us and our feelings. Enough said! I love your content and look forward to many new videos from you. I think you are amazing!❤
Yes! We should pity these mean spirited people, as they truly lack joy.
I’m SO HAPPY so see you back and as beautiful as ever❤ I’ve missed you and your tips. Your video about hair memory and styling changed my hair game
That's so kind of you, I'm glad you found the video helpful!
Thank you so much!
You have been missed. I love your channel & it is so good to see you again. I follow you on Instagram but so glad to see you back on You Tube. Just keep being your beautiful, glamorous, authentic self that we love.❤
Thank you so much, I’m so happy to be back!
Lots of us out here love you Christine...sorry you have been having bit of a bad time. Always look forward to your videos...Lel x
Thank you so much!
Your authenticity is so refreshing. It’s why I followed you to begin with. Glad you’re finding your inspiration again! I’m here for the ride. Keep being you. ❤
That means a lot, thank you!
You’ve been through a lot. I wish you the very best and hope that you settle into your new life. Sorry about those negative comments. You are fantastic. We need you in our lives. Get better and keep doing what you’re doing.
You're so sweet, thank you!
Looking forward to seeing videos from you again! I’m so sorry some folks were discouraging. I can tell how much thought and research and creativity go into all your videos. They are beautiful. Hope you’re feeling better after your surgery. Viel Spaß beim filmen und schreiben!
Thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
I was so glad to see a new video from you this morning, but I'm so sorry about all the cr@p you described. I've always enjoyed your channel so much because I love vintage stuff and I love how you present vintage topics. Your channel is just full of beauty, including you! 💙
That means a lot to me, thank you so much!
Well, I'm very happy to see you back! I have missed your content - there is honestly no-one else quite like you on here 😊
You absolutely have to do what ya gotta do for your own wellbeing - if that means taking a break, re-evaluating, rediscovering your mojo - so be it.
Also - you always look extraordinarily beautiful. Your hair, make-up and outfits are always absolutely on-point - *chef's kiss*
Welcome back ❤
Thank you so much!!
Love your channel! Found you when looking for more info on my vintage hats. Thank you for your videos they have struck a new spark for me with my hats 👒
That is so nice to hear! I am so glad my videos have inspired you!
Hi! So happy you came up in my feed. You are beautiful! I love your content and will check out your older posts. I LOVE your apartment! Subscribed.❤❤❤
I 100% love your authenticity ❤️✨ I’m sorry to hear you have been going through a rough time, and that there have been so many hurtful comments… Happy to hear you have reignited the spark of content creation and your blog! 👏🏻✨
Thank you so much!!
I’m so glad you feel inspired by my journey and hope you find your own joy along the way!
You are amazing. Do not forget!❤
great to see you back and hope you are enjoying your stay in Vienna - a holiday sights video would be welcome, I would also suggest getting a friend, or hiring someone to screen your comments for you, a friend of mine has done this now for years and it's really brought them peace of mind.
Thank you so much, and welcome! I hope you enjoy my channel.
Thank you so much for your support, I really appreciate it!
I'm so glad you're back!! I've been in a rut with my vintage look myself. I'm missing my spark. Your videos were always a source for vintage inspiration. I need to re-watch them.
It’s so nice to hear from you! I hope your spark returns!
Thank you, I'm so glad you are inspired!
Vienna is so inspiring, I can't wait to share it!
My first time here. I love how real you are. Beauty comes in all styles and Form. I am very boho vintage
It's great to have you here! 😊
Hello!!! Just joined bc of your authenticity and caring heart. I never was interested in vintage style or living abroad but I am open to new perspectives especially from such a beautiful individual. Thank you for being so SEEN and looking forward to getting to learn more from such an amazing person. God bless from USA❤
Thank you for your kind words, I'm so glad you're here.
I'm so glad that my content has helped you!
Xxx
Thank you so much for your kind words 🥰
Be well.
Thank you so much for your support!
Love that you are remaining true to yourself! I'm new to your channel but I really enjoy your content and honesty. Love from Michigan 💗
Welcome to my channel! I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
It's wonderful to see you again and I hope you are starting to feel more settled and beginning to feel creative again. I've been there myself and it's so difficult to get out of that place but it does happen and it will take time to get back to yourself again ❤
Thank you for the encouragement 🥰 it feels good to get back in the groove.
Thank you so much! And welcome. I hope you get to visit Vienna some day soon, it's an amazing city.
This is the first of your videos that the algorithm has put in my feed. Your content is right up my alley. Vienna is a beautiful city; I have been fortunate to go three times and that is not enough. Your home is so lovely and I admire your sense of style. I have definitely subscribed.
Thank you so much, Vienna is a wonderful place to live and I'm so happy to be here!
I'm so glad you found my channel, and I hope you enjoy my other videos!

I am so glad you’re enjoying my channel and the content. Thank you for your support, I appreciate it very much!
I’m so glad you’re back. I really enjoy your videos.
Thank you so much!
Thank you, we are loving Vienna.
😍

Oh how wonderful! Vienna is amazing and we are so happy here.
Thank you and welcome! We loved Berlin, it’s such a fun and vibrant city, I hope you are loving living there.
@@TheGlambassador We do love it!
