- On the Portuguese island of Madeira, there are many closed and abandoned roads built in inaccessible terrain. These are fantastic building wonders.
One such is located in the north of the island between the towns of São Vicente and Porto Moniz. It's called Antiga ER 101
Na portugalském ostrově Madeira je mnoho uzavřených a opuštěných silnic vybudovaných v nepřístupném terénu. Jsou to fantastické stavební zázraky.
Jedna taková silnice se nachází na severu ostrova mezi městečky São Vicente a Porto Moniz. Jmenuje se Antiga ER 101. Při naší předposlední návštěvě v roce 2018 se ještě po části silnice jezdilo.

Just stopped by as I was scooting along here today! Tried to follow a couple but so many were blocked out and as it was a hire scooter probs for the best to stick to main roads 😂 you’ve really captured it well tho. Hard to imagine these being the main roads at some point! Thanks for cool footage ☺️

Quando eu era criança, uns 40 anos atrás passei nessa estrada bastantas vezes, quando a minha família me levava a volta da ilha, feira do gado... antes era mais mais bonito que hoje em dia andar na via rápida e via expresse, bons tempos quando eu morava no Ilha da Madeira, infelizmente moro no estrangeiro e mato as saudades de vez enquanto vendo nas redes sociais os lugares que passei muita vez na ilha que eu nasci com a minha família 😢
Sim, é muito triste ver lugares tão abandonados. Eu também não gosto das rodovias neste lugar. Infelizmente, o tempo voa e não podemos pará-lo. Fique bem meu amigo.
