One of the best vidoes on Madeira, loved how you split your stays in a unique way instead of staying in Funchal which 90% of people do. You did justice capturing stunning scenery of the coastlines. How long were you there in total in Madeira?
Wow - thank you very much - very happy that you enjoyed it. And yeah we did want to stay very close to the places we want to visit at sunrise or sunset so staying in Funchal (the whole time) was not an option for us. We stayed for 14 nights, but only explored the island for about 10-11 days.
Wow you have done an amazing job, would hate to think how many hours it took to pull this toghether. Watching things like this gives me inspiration to create, as I've only just started this year getting into drone footage. Those sun rise/set time lapses are amazing

Beautiful video, expecially the sunset timelapses. I have been on Madeira in 2018 unfortunately during a storm. My plane was the last one that could land on the island. Nevertheless it's such a stunning landscape. And the hike from Pico Ruivo to Arieiro is stil on my bucket list ;-)

Thanks a lot - we are very happy that you enjoyed it. For astro photography I guess places in the desert are more suited. There is almost everywhere a light source but if you go up the mountains on the plateau of the western side (near the Fanal pond) you may find good spots. But to get a clear sky you may need time and patience.
Madeira is a relative small island. So we decided to stay some nights on the north western coast and some nights on the south eastern coast. From there you can go to all the mentioned locations in a short time period. And since the weather is unpredictable and often different in the south compared to the north you are very flexible. All the locations to visit from a place are mentioned in the video. Have fun exploring. All the best!

Yes we would. Madeira can be very crowed in main season (April until September). Because the weather is unpredictable year round, we think October is a great time. We went in March was was a good time too. Enjoy.

oh very nice. have a wonderful trip. depending on how long you will stay we will recommend to choose an accommodation on the western side and one on the eastern side of the island. The island is not that big but the roads are narrow and you will spent quite some time in the car. And spend a little bit more on the rental car because the roads are steep - so a stronger car will be very appreciated. Enjoy.
