oh very nice. have a wonderful trip. depending on how long you will stay we will recommend to choose an accommodation on the western side and one on the eastern side of the island. The island is not that big but the roads are narrow and you will spent quite some time in the car. And spend a little bit more on the rental car because the roads are steep - so a stronger car will be very appreciated. Enjoy.

Anyway our tour was as follows: We started in Windhoek - of course ;-) - and went directly to Sesriem (2 nights), continued to Swakopmund (2 nights) and Spitzkoppe, Erindi Private Game Reserve, Vingerklip, Grootbergpass (Hoada Campsite), Otjitotongwe Cheetah farm, Etosha (3 nights in different camps), Caprivi strip (3 nights on the way through), Victoria falls (2 nights), then back to Chobe (2 nights), Savuti, Moremi and back to Windhoek. We stayed mostly for 1 night except where otherwise noted.

We didn't have one either and had no problems with that. A more concerning matter is the 'fake police'. We encountered one on the way to Kruger (on another trip). Be aware to not give these policemen your driving license - just show it to them.

Yes we would. Madeira can be very crowed in main season (April until September). Because the weather is unpredictable year round, we think October is a great time. We went in March was was a good time too. Enjoy.
