Hi! In which month did you visit Namibia? Planning for a trip this january, but since it's wet season i am not sure how safe it is to drive through mud on my own. thanks!
We went at the end of February/beginn of March 2021 - and although we didn't have any problems we can image how much it rained before since some landscapes were so green. I guess it's a bit of a lottery - if it's going to be a rainy wet season you should be prepared for everything and if it's not it should be fine - a wet season as of January/February 2021 does happen about every 10 years according to locals. Have fun anyway.
thank you for this useful video! we have a question. 1. if you could recommend any good company where we can rent a car in Botswana/Namibia (we want to see both countries ) 2. you were flying a drone. is it allowed somehow?
Hello, about the camper rental: we have rented a camper with rooftop tent in Namibia twice so far - in 2021 from Africa on Wheels and the first time from Safari Rental - a combination of the two providers would be perfect in our eyes. Everything worked perfectly at Africa on Wheels, only the equipment of the camper was quite poor - at Safari Rental the camping equipment was perfect, unfortunately there were problems with the transaction (had a lot of troubles to get the deposit refunded). I think the next time we would take Safari Rental again, just clarify the deposit in advance. And about the drone: For flying a drone you need a permit from the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority. It cost around 70 euro and you need to fill out a form, have a liability insurance. It‘s quite a procedure and takes around 4 weeks. Have fun. 😁
do you think Namibia is a cashfree country? Or you need it everywhere? Dont know if I will exchange some NAD in my home town or I just withdraw some money directly at the ATM in Namibia. Thanks for the reply in advance!
Really cash free no but most places accept cards. We did withdraw too much and spent it later even if it would have been possible to pay by card. In our experience some cash is needed anyway especially for tips and a little bit of a backup if some place doesn't accept cards or has no cell coverage or the power is out at the moment of the payment. Hope that helps a bit. Have a great trip.
Thanks - glad you got some useful information. 😁 Since we always want to better could you be a little more specific what about the music you don’t like? Thanks
@@lostintravel_atI would prefer no music at all. A video about the natural world should have only the natural sounds recorded. Recording music over the visual is an offshoot of the days of the silent movie withj no sound recording, or as in the case of many nature programs (re BBC!), no sound recorders were in place. In any event music is very personal and moment dependent. When I click on your video I do not do it because I may possibly like your taste in music.
🥀May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." sag mal konntet ihr Nachts einfach zum Deadvlei um die Aufnahmen mit dem Sternenhimmel zu machen, oder habt ihr eine Genehmigung gebraucht? Wenn ja wo bekommt man diese? 😊
Vielen lieben Dank.
Hallo, zu welcher Zeit / also in welchem Monat ward ihr da? Danke :)
Hallo, wir waren Ende Februar bzw. Anfang März für 2 Wochen.
thank you for this useful video! we have a question.
1. if you could recommend any good company where we can rent a car in Botswana/Namibia (we want to see both countries )
2. you were flying a drone. is it allowed somehow?
Hello, about the camper rental: we have rented a camper with rooftop tent in Namibia twice so far - in 2021 from Africa on Wheels and the first time from Safari Rental - a combination of the two providers would be perfect in our eyes. Everything worked perfectly at Africa on Wheels, only the equipment of the camper was quite poor - at Safari Rental the camping equipment was perfect, unfortunately there were problems with the transaction (had a lot of troubles to get the deposit refunded). I think the next time we would take Safari Rental again, just clarify the deposit in advance.
And about the drone:
For flying a drone you need a permit from the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority. It cost around 70 euro and you need to fill out a form, have a liability insurance. It‘s quite a procedure and takes around 4 weeks.
Have fun. 😁
Can you please tell me the month you made this 2-week road trip?
Hi, sure, we went from end of February until mid of March in a year when the rains in January were heavy. Hope this helps. Have a great day.
do you think Namibia is a cashfree country? Or you need it everywhere? Dont know if I will exchange some NAD in my home town or I just withdraw some money directly at the ATM in Namibia. Thanks for the reply in advance!
Really cash free no but most places accept cards. We did withdraw too much and spent it later even if it would have been possible to pay by card. In our experience some cash is needed anyway especially for tips and a little bit of a backup if some place doesn't accept cards or has no cell coverage or the power is out at the moment of the payment. Hope that helps a bit. Have a great trip.
Where did you rent the 4x4 from?
We rented from Africa on Wheels.
Hello, what was the period you went there please ?
Hi, we went there end of February / begin of March.
Klasse Grüße aus Berlin
Liebe Grüße aus Wien. :-)
Mega!!
Freut uns. :-)
super Grüße aus Berlin
Danke - liebe Grüße aus Wien
Informative! Pity about the terrible music!
Big Like 👍🤩👍
Thank you! Cheers!
My best campsite was in Etosha Olifantsrus ❤️
Yeah - we have that on our list for our next Etosha Trip. :-)
🥀May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED."🌷🌻🌼🌹
God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless🌹 Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. 🌿🌺🌻 We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments.🤱🚶♂💆♀ "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please
Thanks a lot - wish you all the best for 2023.
N$1.00 = ZAR 1.01
yeah they are equally.
You have shown bathroom approx 5,6 times. Its not that great a thing that ur showing /highlighting it again n again. It's quite disgusting. Your focus should be on nature n travel
Thanks for your feedback. Our 'Road Trip' videos are focused on the whole experience which includes the camping spots or hotel rooms and bathrooms. We think that can be quite useful for someone who wants to go on a similar trip. For you we recommend to watch all our other videos - especially the best Of's which are exclusively and only focused on the nature or travel.
