Yes. Sometimes less is more. I've watched videos where (well-meaning) people explain in depth but my brain starts to smoke and I don't retain it. Now I get it.
When I was installing a second USB port into my PC, I unplugged the JFP1 for more finger room. Thinking it was one, or at most, two connectors I suddenly realised in horror after unplugging, that it was, in fact, five individual connectors and that I didn't pay attention to which connector went where... I must have spent almost an 45 minutes (I'm really stubborn... And sure as hell don't -need- want no light-blue, antistatic, PC work gloves showin' me what I'm doing wrong) trying different connection combinations of those wires before I finally broke down, admitted defeat, and that I needed help... Thank you MSI light blue, antistatic, PC work gloves, you saved the day, and my sanity. Jam on.
I don't understand the dislikes at all, this vid is short, straight to the point and easy to follow. Thank you for this MSI, this was the scariest part of my build for me lol.
lost asian OMG SAME. This saved my 9/2012 Cooler Master Haf 912 with a MS 7740 v1.2. I tried building a 3”5 inch 9 in 1 card reader in and moved these cables cuz then I didn’t know what they were. I have way better machines and way newer, but my Grandmother bought me it for me. 2 weeks later she died of cancer. I am happier then ever ❤️
This tutorial is very short but very easy to understand. i tried other video tutorial that took me 10 minutes to watch and not understanding a thing. but this tutorial helps me. thank you
Sweet baby Jesus, this is the most perfect explainer video ever made. Take note RUclipsrs at the lack of “hey what’s up?”, a 20 second stock intro animation , OR ANY TALKING WHATSOEVER
wow, finally a video link in the manual to help. really cool. agree with Joe. everyone needs to agree on a setup for one plug system. its not usb/data driven, its just power, make it a one plug system already.
TYSM my PC just turned on for the first time in eight hours. I thought I was going to have to buy a new motherboard and at my age that is extremely hard to get the money for. Thank you so so much. I am so happy right now lol
Thank you so much, I was building a computer for my dad for fathers day because he's wanted one. And, I didn't know why the PC wouldn't power on. So, I looked up "how to install power sw JFP1" and I got here. I'm posting and currently in the bios and my water cooling and ram and everything is working.
Unplugged this in the effort to better cable manage my pc, literally 20 seconds away from declaring my MB dead until while looking up the diagram I found this video and looked through my history found out I used this video for when I built it and now saved me again, I hate these plugs why is it so hard to make them one plug, they purposely leave one prong open and have no labeling or diagram on how to plug this in. Thank you for the video, god damn the guy who designed this plug
Thank you so very much. I only build or update my pc every five or six years & I always spend many minutes or hours researching this. You showed me in like one minute. You're the man or woman.
I have to say I have 10 years old mainboard military class and it can still hold hands with current technologies and mainboards. Its the best of best omg. I cant believe. All in one it was my best decision.
Glad this video is still up, my pc crapped out today and I went and pulled these out like a dumbass without looking where they went. I built this thing like 10 years ago, probably referenced this video back then as well.
Не мог подключить правильно эти провода, так как не понимаю в этом. Но пытался сам. Скажу прямо,инструкция проффесионалов. Минута с небольшим и слов не нужно. С первого раза смог. Спасибо большое.
Awesome, thank you! This new mobo I got didn't have the front panel labeled so I was confused haha. Anyways, video was short and to the point, amazing video. Thank you!
🙂 super thanks, but one thing tho, why dont you print out the schematic on the motherboard like ASUS does? would make it alot easier, that way I don't have to double check the book or go online, thx
I checked the instructions quick installation guide and they printed it on paper. Kinda hard to understand at first but yea, its just not on the motherboard
thank you so much for this I almost sent a MSI board back because I had the pins arranged incorrectly, I originally set it up the way it's set up on a different motherboard and my sht wouldn't power on no matter what I did.
wow hell yeah this was 100% helpful i look at PC build video they tell you every thing but how to plug up the front panel connectors -_- i need 2 know this because im building a pc with my MSI bored
Does this video seem so simple because it leaves out the importance of knowing which wire is positive or negative (its hard to tell unless you know how) and hooking up the positive & negative wires to the proper mobo pin connection? You have to look for the tiny, almost invisible, triangle mark (arrow) on a dual-wire plug to know thats the positive wire. Most cases today have all black wires for aesthetics, so you can't always depend on the positive wire being red, or for the plugs to have "+" and "-" marks on them.
Thank you msi for answering all 4 questions in 1 minute. Beats the 1,000 10 minute videos that give no explanation.
Thanks

No problem!
Yes. Sometimes less is more. I've watched videos where (well-meaning) people explain in depth but my brain starts to smoke and I don't retain it. Now I get it.
It's 2019 for God's sake make these cables one standard plug already.
Joe Exotic amen
Lol ikr
They don't have the budget for the video lol
My lenovo oem has that no lie. The 6 cables are in a plastic case and are glued together.
I agree

Itx switch
Literally saved me. I bought a prebuild and I plugged it in... didn’t work.. just to find out they plugged these in wrong. Now I fixed it.
I don't understand the dislikes at all, this vid is short, straight to the point and easy to follow. Thank you for this MSI, this was the scariest part of my build for me lol.
What dislikes
The dislikes are for the fact this is how it is in the first place
What are dislikes
The dislike for not including a fucking manual with their motherboards they just gives a paper with useless stuff and a barcode to scan
Probably because this is f****** the devil's torture the only thing I dread about building a PC is these cables right here
Bruh I was a having a panick attack until I found this video
Large Potato omg me to 😳😳😬My pc doesent start before i found this vid (sry dir my Bad english, i m german guy😉)

Simple and straight to the point. This is incredible because a lot of creators can't afford simplicity.

This video is an absolute life saver
What order you plug them in?
@ no specific order, just follow the instructions in the video and make sure they’re all plugged in before booting up the computer
@ I’ve always seen there is an order though?
@ some people do it in a specific if order, it doesn’t really matter though as long as you plug the cables in the correct slots
2 hours with a tweezer and i finally plugged them all in! Stupid small cases with their drive bays 2 cm above the headers.

Hi msi, you haven't shown to connect cable USB on the front of the case to motherboard
God ! Litteraly this video link was in the manual, and there I was searching every fucking video on the internet
