    I like the respect you give for other drivers saying to check for leaks etc before they race.

    As a part 2 to this, maybe you could go over launching and shifting techniques that will help people get a better 60' and ET. Most newer people think you're just supposed to dump the clutch or something lol. Bill, I know you're a drag racing boss, and a lot of people could learn from you and your driver mod!

      It does look like it has a split....that's not good...but it could be where the tire was in the mold.

    If you got a hot car and it’s running hot you don’t let him burn you down so activate both lights so he has so long to pull his car in the two top light or else you will end up with him putting you out if he know your car is running hot or other variables thers some dirty players in drag racing and they like to play games at the lights the starter usually gets mad and makes you go it’s addicting if you red light don’t stop or back up I’ve seen both of these happen you just go normal like you didn’t red light of if your motor is hurt just drive it easy down the track so longs nothing is leaking if you are leaking or about to over heat pull over to side of the track so you don’t get fluids on the track if yo get fluids on track a lot of people will be pissed waiting to clean track and the people running light won’t be happy shit happens on a hot hot day

    There’s usually people at a drag strip, don’t forget to paint the hood before you go. Last thing you want to do is look ridiculous

    What’s the difference between people waiting on the green but still running a good time? It just doesn’t include a reaction time? It starts counting once car has left the line?

    Are the trees always timed exactly the same when it comes down to the 3 final lights then to green? Like a cadence? Or is it off time every time to make sure your reaction time is up to concentration?

    • @cjponyparts
      @cjponyparts  Год назад

      They are the same every time so you can practice you reaction time.

    He's right about the lights on a bracket tree, on a pro tree it's a count as soon as the second car goes full stage you count till 4 then go, that's pro tree

    Addictive you won’t want to turn your car off if you are time trial in that’s ok they lat you go as much as you want but don’t hurt your motor it’s good t figure out what your car does this will let you compare time slips then you can figure your time to put on your windshield

    For 11-14 mustang gt, what do you do about AdvanceTrac?? Do you turn it completely off? Or just traction control off? Or sport mode?

      The first step off is fine too. You can do your burnout just fine on slicks

    I’ve seen the tree on one side go green before the other and the other guy waits a second or two, why is this?

    • @iowapanner2223
      @iowapanner2223 3 года назад +2

      That is because in bracket racing you try to run your 'dial in' which you get during your practice runs. Then the tower punches your and your opponents dial ins into the computer and it will stagger the start so that you are both racing to be first to the finish line without going faster than your dial in. This lets slower cars compete against faster ones. We had a couple of fellows with a 20 second Mazda that ran sportsman and were super competitive at our track.
