- Dirt Cheap - Stephenville, TX *The Dirtiest Store I've Ever Seen*. Enjoy a look around this discount department store that sells closeouts and damaged/salvage items from other retailers. You never know what you may find here however you'll find items for pennies on the dollar. Only thing about Dirt Cheap is their stores are very cluttered and unorganized. Many times are just placed randomly throughout the store making it difficult if you're looking for a particular item. However, if you have the time to kill, you can find some great deals here. Many people do. And the employees are always nice and friendly. They're just doing their job. It's upper management that could try to improve a store's look rather than letting all their locations look like a storm hit them.

Big lots is allot better than that store lol 🤣😅🏠
A Haven for dumpster-divers and hoarders... 😋
What's sad about these kinda places is that they could just lower their prices a bit more and move some stuff but instead they end up just dumping it out after a while.
The store is dirty af but i want one were i live tbh
Thanks, Wallie! I laughed and laughed all through this video. I needed that!
"Like an Ollies?!" No. Ollie's is a veritable Neiman Marcus next to this place.
This might be a fun store to work at, IF, you stay up-to-date on your tetanus shots.
The snow shovels were most likely for the employees to stock the shoe dept. with.
"Two words. Good Luck." GOOD GRIEF!
About 13 minutes in, the 'lightbulb' went off in my head, "Oh, I get it, this HAS to be a money laundering operation for some organized crime cartel. No WAY they can be making money in there." BUT . . . .
A quick google search reveals, "Today, Dirt Cheap is the largest retailer of customer returns and marked out of stock merchandise in the United States. Dirt Cheap stores feature brand name offerings of hardlines, clothing, domestics, accessories, footwear, and more at discounts of 30 to 90% off original retail prices." Says there's over 100 of these stores in 10 states across the south. Wow.
Yeah Ollie’s is definitely a lot nicer than Dirt Cheap, it’s not even comparable. Plus Ollie’s sells decent stuff
Would never shop there
Reminds me of Ollie's and Goodwill outlet store combination
Exactly! I was just thinking of those places. Ollie’s especially. 😂
Thats train wreck of a store but yah like u said it's not the employees fault
Plays ACDC Dirty deeds done dirt cheap.
I went to a dirt cheap in Dothan,AL which was part of an old KMart and it was disgusting inside. It smelled heavily of must/mold and it didn't look like the floor had been mopped or swept in months.
This store looks like if a Goodwill and an Ollie's had a child. It would take forever to organize the inventory there.
Joe Biden is not my president xD
😂👍
I would do it
Great Username
Or Maybe It's A Savers Store In Disguise?
That is a very junky dirty store. You weren't joking.
Never seen a place like that before, unreal. Looks like a really messy thrift store .
Me too
A thrift store that’s messy
Oddly with me I have better luck with messy thrift stores then the clean ones.
@@charlieretro yea theres this local one where I found some Nike shoes straight out the box for 20. They where neon tho so I don't know if it was a win.
@@grippieb6447 A win if you can resell them for more than what you paid for!
It sounds like the Ollie's near me. Expired food items, thick layer of dust on everything, so icky.
At least Ollie’s is somewhat more organized than this place!
@@elizabethorsillo7187 The one near me is a total dump.
@@herbcraven7146 My Ollie's is a dump too! BTW there was a place called Kool Bins that closed down near me. Just tables of random stuff and the store was dirty AF. There is still one in Norfolk.
I totally agree. I went to Ollie’s once, and that was enough.
It's a treasure hunt! I've got to be in the mood to go digging but I've found some really good stuff there. Is it disgusting? Yes. Yes it is. But it's totally worth it when you find something good. I sure do miss Hastings though...😢
Loved this video Wallie! I've never before seen a hot mess like Dirt Cheap...the headlight was hilarious
There probably gonna go outta business for unsanitary conditions
Upon my third viewing, I'm going back to my "money-laundering-front-for-a-drug-cartel" theory. Just . . . yeah.
The difference between this Dirt Cheap and that abandoned Ames with all the merchandise? The lights work at Dirt Cheap.
What a mess!
Hastings was a great store! Shame it had to close.
I went to a dollar store that was like this. When I went in, it had this smell that was so horrible, I wanted out immediately. The merchandise was overpriced like a flimsy notepad for $6. It went out of business after just a year not because of coronavirus, but because it wasn't performing as well as the dollar tree down the road
This is America 🇺🇸
We have a Dirt cheap in my hometown and it's one of the biggest trash store I've had the displeasure of setting foot in. Ironically it was also a Hastings.
My Hastings got turned into a here today store and then they turned it into a mattress store after that
Wallie you don’t need snow shovels in Texas you need AIR CONDITIONERS IN TEXAS WHETHER HOT OR COLD 😆😆😆
This place is beyond messy and you would have to spend a day or more looking through everything to try to find what you were looking for.
Well thanks for the tour of a Dirt Cheap, now I don't have to go in one.
They would be better off selling everything for $1 and start over again!
I think I would buy that broken mirror, I would get rid of the glass and it would be a super cute decor piece, and if it’s dirty I would just clean it.
Omg! It's supposed to be like a huge yard sale or like yard sale you find in some neighborhoods. You never know what you will find or what condition it's going to be in. Like marriage sex , you get it one in a while and never know the condition it's going to be in when you get it😀
The Dirt Cheap that took over half of the old Kmart in Dothan, AL looks just like this. Went in there about 5 years ago and haven't gone back. Disgusting.
The owner is "Pigpen" from the Charlie Brown cartoon series. Lucy would never allow that mess, neither would would Snoopy.
I love these kind of places, that’s where you find stuff that stays with you forever, you learn that through the years and you realize you still have the stuff you got there, reminds when Blockbuster had a pile of trash with brand new DVDs 📀 for a dollar or even 45 cents cause no one would want them, fast-forward those are the only movies I kept after dvds went extinct and we all got rid of our dvds, somehow the ones I chose to keep forever cause they’re so good and underrated unknown movies are the ones I bought a on blockbuster’s pile of trash 🗑
There isn't enough hand sanitizer in the world to make me want to risk shopping in a place like this...
LOL!
Awesome video man
Our local "dirt cheap" seems to buy/stock a lot of items that were likely shoplifted, reselling things that may have been stolen from other local and national chains...
Heh...They don't call it Dirt Cheap for nothing!!!
Hello again guys, Wallie did you guys find any Kmart merch at that store ?????
This is a poor man store lol that's why it's call "Dirt Cheap". Lol
Not so amazing if you worked there
**This reminds me of my Walmart**
The one in Ennis, TX is much cleaner and much larger than that one. Ive found some good deals from Dirt Cheap. Found a barn light security light with dusk to dawn sensor for $20 and only thing it needed was a light bulb which was $14. Those lights usually run from $60-$90.
I've never heard of this place, no thanks too much work looking around all that crap!LOL😂😅
My old Hastings in Midland was converted to a store called EntertainMart--and as far as I know, that company bought several of the old Hastings stores shortly after the chain went under. EntertainMart is very similar to Hastings (and I think has a lot of their unsold inventory), but seems to focus more on video games and action figures, where Hastings concentrated more on books and movies.
I love entertainmart it's the closest thing to Hastings
OMG! This has to be one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long time! 😄 I have never heard of a place like this before. Everything you grabbed looked decent.....but with a twist! An intact broken mirror, one half of a swimsuit top, drawer organizer missing a handle, snacks that are completely crushed, mini fridge that doesn't close all the way, electric shaver with no plug/box, etc. 🤣
Perfectly good fridge with a dent? I mean I’d love that place, I don’t care about those little imperfections
This store looks like a Flea Market and Dirt Cheap inside The Stores Place Flip-flops, Shoes, clothes And you might see Cool Stuff Bikes and Lamps and i really enjoy video Thanks as always for Watching and That will be it.
It's looks like a rundown goodwill store
This store reminds me of the Bargain Hunt stores we have here in NC, except this store seems way worse.
I've never been to Dirt Cheap, but it reminds me of a store that existed 20 years ago called Depot 42. That store had a lot of surplus junk, but every once in a while, I'd find decent toys or tee-shirts there. I remember Depot 42 was pretty dirty and unorganized, but it might have been immaculate compared to how Dirt Cheap appears to be.
I do remember Hastings! It had new and used books, music, movies, etc. If I recall, the prices were pretty high, but I've found some pretty decent stuff there.
When are you going to go to Clifton this new stores
Dirt cheap store makes dollar tree look like a Gucci outlet store!
In some of these stores too the lighting is not the best ether. Some of the shelves can be very dark. When I first started shopping here I cut my fingers a few times until I started shopping with a flashlight. Remember a lot of these shelves are packed to the hilt with miscellaneous items. You reach only to get cut up on a cracked coffee cup. Also you can often find super items everyone else missed simply because the shelves were so dark. I’ve also found super buys at Goodwill simply because nobody else knew the item because it was way too dark, or the item was packed way in the back or covered up with other items. I saw a few folks using the light on their smart phones before reaching in on a shelve.
I bet people who drink a lot of beer opened that store!
One of my favorite stores in TX. I visited the one in Waco a few years back. A Total dump, but you can find some good stuff there.
Waco used to have one?I never seen it before
The dirtiest store? Well, I dont know about the dirtiest store. But I used to work at a movie theater in California, and one time a customer walked up and complained when I was working tearing tickets. She said 'This is the dirtiest theater I have ever been in.' I started laughing hysterically and wanted to tell her about an adult theater in Dallas that my mom caught my dad going to, but figured I was already in trouble for laughing at a customer
Well they do say dirt cheap Haha
It looks like goodwill only less organized. Someone needs to organize and clean that place. They would make more profit if they cleaned up.
@@craigjensen6853 I’m pretty much dirt poor. I wouldn’t shop in a dirty, unorganized store.
That store reminds me of an episode of The Simpsons, when Brandine and Cletus were in a similar store that was getting in some burned clothes. Cleatus said "What time and how burned?" lol
“Happy Labor Day Weekend” WallieB26 & Kayla 👍
I hope they don't sell food!
Not sure I would like working at a place like this. I'm too organized and am forever organizing everything at my job at Goodwill.
Wow that store look like a train wreck then some. I wonder hiw in the world does a store that looks that awful even stays in businees dam
The one in my area closed.
Everything was saved from the trash.
I honestly don't think I would shop at that store. It's a shame to see they operate their business the way they do. Wallie, just like you said, I myself, have been to flea markets that are much more organized and cleaner than Dirt Cheap is. Heck, even Ollie's is much cleaner and organized. One thing that I'm wondering is this-- does a hoarder own the Dirt Cheap business?? Have a KMartlicious Day!
This makes my local Salvation Army seem nice...
kind of reminds me of Ollies , although Ollies is more organized , but overall i guess if you had time and knew what you we're looking such as auto filters etc. for that would be the place
My OCD would prevent me from stepping foot in that mess. But at least if you work there, you don't have to stay after closing to face the store.
I've been to one of these. There's one close to Arlington and Bedford (I think that's where it's located) that's close to where my grandmother is. Went in once and was like "I am never stepping foot in here again...yes, I see the cheap Switches over there, I don't care. There's probably something sketchy about them anyway."
I remember going into value city in Russell, Kentucky. Although the merchandise was clean, everything was so disorganized. Value city department stores are closed now. Maybe they went out of business because of the lack of organization.
Imagine what this store would look like if it was abandoned and all that crap was left to sit there for the next 10 years lol ....Yikes
It looks like the truck pulled up to the door and they just started throwing random stuff in all directions
I like this place. The Ollie's in my town used to be crowded with stuff and junky looking. They opened a neater and organized store. I don't find the stuff in the new place that I did in the old store. The clerks say a lot of people complain that they liked the old place better. The Big Lots store is the same. The old one was better and did more business.
Dirt Cheap is basically a Bermuda triangle of damaged goods from other stores!
What the heck
I have been to one the (Treasure Hunt in in San Fontana, CA) stores from the same company that Dirt Cheap is under belongs to and it was just as bad if not worst. Ugly place. Very disorganized a long with a very crappy management team. That place has been permanently closed down.
Looks like a Dollar Store vs Pawn Store . God I'd kill myself to have to work and socialize with other Dirty Cheap employees. 😆
I'd kill myself too
Think I've prohibition
its like they took tractor and just dumped everything on the floor
Man, I haven't been in there since it was a Hastings. What a mess now!
It makes me remember of a store that was like this in Nashua NH called building 19. Super messy and dirt cheap. I think it is abandoned now. You should check it out when you make it to new England eventually. Nh, Maine, Vermont and mass has a lot of hidden gems.
I have been to Building 19, and I can second everything you say, I also live 20 minutes away from Nashua to boot.
R&R in hooksett area is about the same. Ocean state job lots too
The one Dirt Cheap I been to is on I-30 right near Ridgmar Mall. That location is also complete mess. Last time I went there was bunch of Wolf's Lodge plushes. That location is right next to a closed down Chuck E Cheese
We have a Dirt Cheap in my town in Alabama, they have the dirtiest floors in town!! They have mostly crap that is not Dirt Cheap but fairly cheap, or average priced.
A few times I have found a few kids shirts for a $1 but that’s rare. I never go anymore.
1:20- sounds like you're describing a typical Goodwill.......... 1:12 sounds better than Ollies............6:00 How fitting that the song playing in the background is about new shoes, and you're showing the shoe section!!!!!...........Allz I can say is you must not've been to any NJ goodwill's; I could EASILY mistake this for one...... (I kinda wish you told us some prices; I'd hope that broken 50 cent mirror is a typical example, for BADWON'T is notoriously overpriced despite having an identical "business model" to this).
Looks like a store in Maine called Marden's. The stores sold salvaged items from floods and other surplus items. When i worked for OfficeMax, one of our stores in Connecticut flooded, and Marden's bought most of the flooded paper goods. Two weeks after i was vacationing in Maine, and i went into a Marden's, and they were selling the notebook paper (that was wet) for 10¢. Funny...
Well, when you go into a store called, Dirt Cheap in TEXAS, you really can't be mad at them living up to their advertisement. XD
Wish I could see it in person
I went there with Kayla and the family when Hastings was closing down. I'd been there years before with another friend. Hastings was awesome. Dirt cheap is horrible.
Dirt Cheap = Most Anxiety Inducing Stores on Earth!
"The Dirtiest Store I've Ever Seen" -Well, gee, why do you think they call it "DIRT Cheap"?
"Oh, look; there's an alternator! I don't know what car it goes to." -It probably goes to a Yugo. D:
We're Having Dirt Cheap Here In St.Louis Missouri But Different They Sale Alcohol There,
Oh boy and I thought my Goodwill was a junked up mess!
Wait… where is the z24?
While we were in Texas, we kept it parked at Kayla's parents' house. Her parents were kind enough to let us one of their trucks. In this video, however, Kayla's mom actually drove us around as we all wanted to go to the same handful of places that day. It was nice to have a break from driving. Haha
E
In the 90s' it was a Bud's store and the Tractor Supply next door was the original Walmart. Then Bud's went out of business and Hasting's moved n..
That store is horrible!! I would get covid 19 just touching the door !!😂😂😂 I can't believe they don't have a health inspector that comes in!!
Looks like the salvation army near my house.dirty, disorganized, broken junk
I've never been to a Dirt Cheap, but looking at photos, it looks like most of their locations looked like a bomb went off. Keep up the good videos.
These stores are mostly hit or miss. It depends on what one is looking for. I have been going to a local one and visiting others in my state, since about 1999. I usually visit more when I am unemployed and have more time to browse. I used to carry pages from a newspaper circular in my purse, to place on the floor when using a dressing room in these stores. (Honestly, not a bad idea for any public dressing room.) I have heard other shoppers say they saw a rat. I was in one about an hour from my home, was on the way to the restroom, and saw something larger than a rat - maybe an opossum? Over the years, have found some real bargains, such as cotton pj's from Target, a Cuddl Duds winter undershirt, a computer desk, a Pier One-type end table, a bamboo sheet set, a lighthouse-themed rug from Kohl's. You never know.
In Philly back in the mid nineties we had a store called The Dump. It was in a warehouse or something, not sure what type of building it was. You always walked out with dirty hands but it was a hell of a lot cleaner than this place. If I was an employee here I would have to clean up the best I could
There was a Dirt Cheap store in Tyler,Tx that was the dirtiest store Ive ever been in. And yes, lots and lots of crappy unsellable stained and damaged merchandise getting picked over. It closed down recently. Good riddance.
there used to be one thats near my house and everything there was real overprice
for instance they were selling a damaged boxed copy of fallout 4 for around 50 dollars
This store reminds of the one in Waco, TX., disorganized and nasty. It's more like dumpster diving to me and should be rename as Dirt Sh**.
