The stereotypes are always there, and if an asian is good at singing or at playing a instrument, there's bound to be one who will criticize them saying that they're asian so then they are good in everything, which may not always be true.
Yes, you speak truthfully. For some reason, possibly American insecurities, the Asian people have been placed on a higher scale or standard. I am a student at the University of Houston-Downtown and this is one of the most diverse State Colleges in America. I have witnessed time after time where the Asian culture are being stereotyped as above standard on the educational scale. Yes, some of my friends from Taiwan and Tokyo are more prepared through respectful upbringing and more hours in school. However, I do wish and pray for the best of futures for you. With love, Thomas-

Nevertheless, life goes on, hopefully these stereotypes will change. I wish that there were more asian stars in Hollywood who weren't just portrayed as Kungfu masters, or the typical sidekick etc..
Yes, Olivia Lau. I agree totally. One day, hopefully in my lifetime. Not only does 'Hollywood" mislead, they set false social standards. America has the best dressed homeless population on earth. I will pray constantly for the Asian population. God bless you Olivia.
