- This video also applies to the Bobcat 642, 643, 645, 742 and 743B machines with a similar setup. Installing an aftermarket muffler / exhaust system and flex pipe kit. I do not recommend the brand I installed due to the sloppy construction and the fit was very bad and had to be modified. However, it was cheap compared to extinct Bobcat OEM parts so here is the link to buy the same kit, but don't say I didn't warn you. I love how every video of vintage Bobcat's always has a dangling wire with at least one butt connector with lots of black electrical tape...classic .

My service manual states the plug is to clean out the spark arrestor. You take the plug out, cover the exhaust pipe with a block of wood and blow the debris out of the plug hole.
Thanks for the vid. I had the same problems on mine, I came to check to make sure there wasn't some step I was missing to make room for it. I ended up cutting about 1" off the spark cleaner nipple then I could hammer it down, but, I did have to expand the hole for the nipple because it was in the wrong spot. I also only got two bolts in to secure the muffler. Pretty silly that they can't make it to spec.
Trying to find out what the warning lights are in the center the cover for the right light is broken on mine any ideas
Man I wish this was the same on the 773 man it’s going to be a pain in the butt. Man I hate working on my bobcat. Everything is impossible to get to
I know..even working on this one was a pain in the a$$
Someone had to be first. I have never seen the inside of the engine bay on one of those things.
