Dubon can still get them base hits when he's not trying to hit HRs. We need to keep him focused! Good to see Javier get pulled early too, hopefully that builds his confidence.
Chili, usually I’m bitching about the performance of our team, but today I’m awe struck by the absolute GODSPEED in which you crank out these highlight videos. God bless you, your faith and dogged dedication to the ‘STROS may give this team life yet.
I'm an O'S fan, and I appreciate these condensed highlights. GG Astros. Astros worry me more than any other team. Altuve and Tucker really hit our pitching well. Good luck to you.
@@Shawn-hv9in Good luck to your team as well! I pray that by the end of the month we put on a better performance for a much more deserving opponent such as the O’s.
@@Shawn-hv9in Hi, the Oriols are a team that I like, and I also recognize the strength you have shown this season. In the playoffs (hoping that we qualify too) I will cheer for my beloved Astros and for you too. @@imnotcreativeenoughh There’s 10 games left in the season, and he’s just now performing. I won’t congratulate a fish for swimming. Urquidy got injured, Javier didn’t, what’s his excuse? I stand by what I said still and nothing you say will change that.. 💀
I wasn’t able to watch this game live because I was at school but I was able to keep tabs of the game. I was really worried we were gonna get swept, and it looked like we were through 8 innings. But Mauricio Dubon had other plans!
Forgive me because I was listening to the game on the Radio, and I walked away from the game at 1-1. When Pena narrowly missed the homerun and then the Astros failed to score with the bases loaded and 1 out. The breaks have just not been going the Astros way for most of the last 2 or 3 weeks. I am glad the Astros won. It has been too frustrating for us lately.
The Orioles have a great young team. They're gonna be a tough out in the playoffs. They have a lot of grit. This could be a preview of the ALCS. Go Strohs!!!
He has been a very nice surprise since the beginning of the year. He was playing often due to player injuries and hitting over 300. He's been just awesome for us this year. He's leveled off some due to players returning and less playing time of course.
Thank you very much for your efforts highlighting these games. I have always been a fan of Cliffs Notes versions on most any topic. I just don't have the time or patience to even fast forward through a whole recorded baseball game. Go "Stros!
Thanks to chiligaming64 for his wonderful videos on the Astros, which are always the best I find on baseball. Now I ONLY look at your kilos!😉👍 VERY IMPORTANT victory! Rangers and Marines won again today, and we can still maintain a 1 victory lead on one and 0.5 on the other. We needed it precisely because if we had lost today, morale would have dropped even further, and instead now I think the team has revitalized itself, and will be ready for the next match. Now 3 days of "rest" in which to recharge our mental batteries in view of the series with KC where we absolutely MUST win at least 2 out of 3 races, but I hope we get FULL spoils to be able to get to the match against Seattle in the best possible ranking conditions . Some other considerations: 1) Diaz there is no doubt that he is a very strong hitter, and he is certainly stronger than Maldonado. I only doubt that Maldy still has something more as a catcher than Diaz, due to his experience, but there are no doubts that Diaz is now ready to blossom and become the starter, maybe not now, but maybe next season. ! I err???? 2) Can someone explain to me why we pay Jose Abreu 20 million? did we even give him a 3 year contract? Why?! When he goes to bat, a little voice always rings in my head telling me "there are 90 chances out of 100 that he won't do ANYTHING". By God he would wake up! we're at the end of the season! would see that he deserves the enormous salary we pay him. Am I wrong in your opinion????? That being said, I am VERY HAPPY about this win! and I can't wait to watch the series with KC. Go Astros! Until the end!✌👋
Abreu79 either needs to be benched or batting further down the order in the 6th, 7th or 8th spot until he proves he can be better. He is only consistent at one thing: being mediocre.
I like reading your posts, keep it up bro. Going 2 out 3 against KC is second best scenario. We should be going 3 for 3 against a team like that but I'll settle for 2/3. Diaz is the way to go. Hopefully that becomes reality for next season if not for playoffs. I think JAbreu was signed for his contact hitting from the year before. I don't have his numbers but his power was down and average up. Unfortunately that did not translate to this year. Looking back, yes a terrible, terrible signing. Happy for the win, yes, keep on fighting Astros!!
@@ikaritears1792 Thanks bro! I will continue to write willingly and discuss with those who understand more, given that I am a neophyte who has only been following baseball for a few years. Returning to JAbreu, I can only hope that he wakes up NOW in this final season, helping us qualify for the playoffs, and then playing decently in the playoffs themselves. Otherwise we might as well put Singleton which with all its limitations doesn't make much difference, eh...
I don't know guys. I am shiting bricks over here. I don't feel confident but this is what it's all about around this time of year but no bs I am shiting bricks!! Good win but let's string some wins together please!!!
These Astros need to learn a thing called “Strike Zone.” When a pitch is a foot or more from it or if it hits the dirt they need to know that they shouldn’t be swinging at it! All those swings at bad pitches is killing this team because of the fact that they keep on getting struck out by them, especially when their teammates are on the bases! They can’t bring their teammates home if they hit air!
Disagree. This team is very disciplined. That guy with the Orioles is just nasty. That slider was fooling everybody. He’s done it to the Astros twice before. I knew today would be a hard day to score runs.
@@chiligaming64 I saw that too. You can be playing for a minor league team & still come dress out with the major league team?! ….I’m going to go try out for the Space Cowboys immediately.
don't blame you, this is the first time all season they've lost three straight series but it's a win against a good team and hopefully gets them going for the last week and half of the season
Legit mightve saved the season. So, i know we're all doom and gloom around here, but id like to offer some perspective. We just split the season series against Baltimore. Were this a 7 game series, this win wouldve just forced game 7. Considering the Os are the best team in the AL and presumably will be in the ALCS, youve proven that you can match them. You also swept the Braves, the best team in baseball, in their own park at a time when you were struggling just to get to .500 This has been an ugly ass year, its felt like old Sysyphus out here, with all the injuries and never getting much of a run going.....but theyre still RIGHT there. Finally took the division lead, win the division you get the 1st round bye, everyone rests up, you beat a Wild Card team to get to the ALCS, and boom.....youre on the doorstep again, likely facing a team youve gone toe to toe with, except they have zero playoff experience while youve got a championship roster. They can still do this.
Jesus christ will you give it a fucking rest already..... He's not getting paid 30 mil a year like you always claim he is, and he's top 5 in the AL in RBIs, along with being a GG defender. For the love of god stop whining about him constantly.
And next up one of those worst teams come to Minute Maid for a 3 game series. So far Astros suck vs bottom feeder teams at MM. Maybe they turn it around? 🤷♂
