For me, that line catch by Mancini was the turning point for the Stros, so quick. They were already coming back strong but it showed that the back-ups were just as clutch as the starting players, especially since they had multiple injured starters. Plus the Phillies should have just left when Pressley came out.

What a game! This is one of those "someone has to lose" game. Both teams have some chances but both teams' pitchers did great jobs with RISP. At the end, Houston is the team that plays little better and get the key defensive plays at the end. Phillies missed their chances, but nothing ashamed about them, they will fight to the end.

That was a great play by McCormick against the wall . Frankly get tired of commentators saying some plays are great when they are not but that play was great. Not an Astros fan but they deserved this one sheerly on defense alone. Having played outfield this is not easy. Nearly tore my ankle off at age 14 doing this so way to go McCormick. Final result of Astros vs. Phillies 3 2 -
result: Justin Verlander gets his first win on the mound of the World Series. NOW Houston with two home games would appear to be the title favorite.
My friendly and insightful considerations were right and they agree with the excellent Manager Dusty Baker (Astros) -
His First Move: Astros' defense continues to shine as McCormick jumps to the wall to rob Realmuto with extra bases.
A rescue in an incredible high grip and towards the starry sky of magic. A wonder out of circus wonders.
The second move is the pinnacle of wisdom: the Astros were in bad shape (1 out and two runners on the bases) and the Houston Astros bullpen
is finally touched and Dusty Baker calls the relief pitcher Pressly to get out of this bad situation
did it in advance and had never done it, but NOW it took balls to win by defending himself very well.
The Last and Third Move: The Astros get HUGE defensive play from Mancini first base - replacing Gurriel - down the line to get the Astros out of the inning.
Big stab and a big move by Dusty Baker towards (perhaps) the ultimate checkmate.
It was a great baseball game designed by two teams of the same level.
It's not over until it's over.
NOW we expect all for all from the Philadelphia Phillies and history teaches that all is still a game in play for the love of the game.
Series is 3 2 for the Houston Astros -
See you next time from your Maurizio Spagna -
They will be memorable and intense matches to beat or launch into history.
    by Maurizio Spagna -
    In collaboration with MLB history.
    -----------------------------------------------

Astros not fighting harper. They rather put him in the base than to try to strike him out

Yeah astros had some bunting situations even one where smoltz even said it'd be a great time to do a squeeze. Those days are over with just like taking Javier out with a no hitter going.

Well, it looks like the Astros have their mojo back. Good pitching and defense, as well as timely hitting, are doing it for them. They're up 3 games to 2, they can wrap it up in Game 6 at home. Dusty Baker could be one happy man to win his first WS as a manager.

If Astros finish this it will be Dusty first and maybe he stay in Houston I mean took the Astros well in 2020 ALCS but in his first 2 full season he has dominated the Division, he on a interview say that on a long season of 162 games if you can win 15+ games each month you chances of making the postseason increase by lot and turn out he is right when I went to the 2021-2022 seasons wins by months he nailed it 🎯 in 2021 they fail to win 15 in 2 months each month they won 14 games each, but they have a strong July where they won 19 games in 2021 and 2022 same-thing.

Good pitching always beats good hitting, JV was shaky but 1 run in 5 is good when you have the best bullpen in baseball, sorry Philly but it’s over, we don’t accept Cinderella’s in Houston.

Ok the Phillies made a big Mistake in starting Nola the third game, he's not a paint the corners Pitcher, he like to try to beat you pitching down the middle, and if his stuff is not breaking and it was not, the Astros hit him very good, I would have taken him out at the beginning of the 4 inning, before he loaded the bases. So Phillies no more Nola in the WORLD SERIES OK, SO WE HAVE 2 GAMES LEFT SO NOW IT ALL MEN ON DECK, SO IF I WAS THE COACH I WOULD ROLL THE DICE AND START ZACH EFLIN, I SAW WHEN HE CAME IN THE 4TH GAME HE PITCHED A NO HITTER BY PAINTING THE OUT SIDE CORNER WITH SLIDER, CHANGE UPS AND CURVE BALLS NO FAST BALLS THAT WHAT HOUSTON HITTER LOVE. DON'T GIVE THEM WHAT THEY WANT, ALSO FOR THE HITTER, THE PHILLY HITTERS YOU GUYS HAVE GOTTEN AWAY FROM THE SHORTER SWINGS YOU ARE WINDING UP LIKE BUG BONNIE IN THE CARTOONS, PLEASE GET BACK TO WHAT GOT YOU TO THE WORLD SERIES SMALL BALL, GO SMALL, SHORTEN THE SWINGS AND THEN YOU CAN AJUST TO THE PITCHES WITH YOU KNEES, YOU CAN BEND TO SENT UP TO THE PITCH WEATHER IT A SLIDER OR CURVE BALL, THATS MOSTLY WHAT HOUSTON IS PITCHING, ALSO NOW ALL PITCHES A=ON DEXK, I WOULD PITCH THE GUY THAT SHUT THEM OUT THAT THIRD GAME, THEN THE LAST GAME PITCH WHEELER 4 ENING BUT BRING EFLIN IN FOR 3 THEN THE CLOSE WITH THE 100 MILES PER HOUR PITCH. OK, PJILLIES YOU GOT TO BELEIVGE YOU CAN WINN, HOUSTON HAS EXPENDED A LOT OF ENERGY TO GET TO THIS GAME, WE CAN WIN THE NEXT 2 BY BEING SMART NOT GO GET THEM, START ZACH EFLIN HES THE MAN NOW. HE'S GO THE STUFF TO BEAT THEM. OK COACH THOMPTON. GO GET IT. LETS DO IT.
