Marc's S2k makes me so happy. I feel like I always see so many show quality S2ks on the internet that I forget that there are stock dailys out there with a little paint fade and honest wear
When I see a new G&G video I always check the chapters names before watching the video. I think this is one of my favourite things bout this channel, just the joking and camera work keep me here from day one
Just a tip to those at home, wear a mask whenever you grind metal cuz even if you can't see it you're in a cloud of metal powder. I once worked a 2 stroke cylinder jug as a teen and learned my lesson when I was coughing up grey
I'm just here to give Mark some love. That guy has been busting ass, and seeing him sand down those rivets demonstrates patience. Mark, I recognize you, bro. Edit: Only use Honda Blue filters for the S2000. They have more holes which help more oil pass through while under load, and were specifically engineered for the S. Seriously, don't use OTS filters.
Seeing this S2k being save it's freaking awesome 🔥🔥 from going ball's too the wall at the track with Jackie and now getting restored for retirement as a street car NICE can't wait too see how good it's gonna be🤙
A good spot weld cutter and panel splitting tools might have made this job faster and easier. Klicos help with panel alignment. I think you guys could have done the quarters under the auspices of a experienced body man. Good job💪🏆
Been following the channel for years now and love how it's evolved. But I'll tell you what stands out a lot recently. Mark seems like a very respectful, honest, and knowledgable mechanic. Def keep him around!
This is awesome, I've owned two s2k's over the years. An ap1 and now currently a turbo 06 ap2. I used to watch jackies channel all the time when he raced this thing. It is so cool seeing this thing get brought back to life!
There’s a program called ALLDATA. Literally gives you all the information on repairing vehicles to OEM spec (ie where spot welds are located) . We use it in the body shop world a lot to ensure safety when replacing large panels like this for structural integrity. Maybe it can help with other builds in the future.
honestly, the rat-rod-ish look of it with no fron fenders is appealing in a strange way. Incredibly nice work from all of you though, it looks super clean.
Love all your videos. It’s awesome that you are turning this back into a daily. I have my dad’s 02 s2k that he drove as a daily and I love it. It is so much fun. Keep up the great content.
When belt sanding try to evenly grind the spot welds by moving the belt up and down trying to make a “rectangle” and as soon as you see the top layer cracking around the spotweld use a chisel and hammer to pop the spotweld off and grind the leftover spotweld flush with the base metal
Hey Ben, not sure if this is something that's been said, but the oil filter you swapped is not the correct size for the engine. The f20/22 and the nsx are the only two that use a different higher flow filter. The standard size does not have the correct flow through for these motors. You're looking for the 15400-PCX-306 pn
Loved this whole video and so excited to see what this car looks like wen it's done. Having done a lot of similar body work to my car, you guys definitely had an easier time of it than I did. Love the content, keep up the great work guys!
Blair spot weld cutter is bar far my favorite way to cut spot welds way cleaner and if you wanna reinstall panel it makes a perfect hole for a plug weld
I've swapped door wiring before on my Jeep WJ, got a used Laredo door for cheap to replace my damaged Limited model door with heated mirrors all the bells and whistles. Its not hard but is a pain in the butt.
Love my finger sander, I have worn a few of them out. But id probably have used more spot weld cutters (until you get a batch that don't work and then they get relocated all over the workshop)
Love this build. Ever think of an oil filter relocation to get the filter up and in an easier point to access? The location isn’t bad but on my rx8, it’s wedged between the motor and firewall and it’s a terrible spot to get to
The editor is doing a great job with these time stamps
I need YT to make a feature where the titles pop up while in full screen.

This project alone justifies the choice of a full time Shop mechanic. You Da man Mark
can we expect 2 videos a week? as there is mark doing most of the work
It feels like it would've been dramatically more economical to buy one in good shape at this point lol.
@@androiduberalles you're right but we're not here for economically responsible choices 🤣. Dubious daunting decisions are the lifeblood here, lol
@@androiduberalles being a car enthusiast at all is a bad financial decision. But worth it if it makes you happy (and doesn't ruin your life)

same sentiments
My 350z is very similar to Marc's S2000 - near stock with a little paint fade on the hatch
I daily mine and she sure isn’t perfect but she’s mine

The newer the car worse it is. The new high strength steels have all sorts of toxic metals in them.
That and hearing protection... WHAT?!
said the same. these guys don't care about their long term health! 😷😷😷
Really glad that Marc is part of the team. 😊

Isn't Ben's S2K running a K20 instead of an F20?

WE NEED MORE S10K CONTENT
Man I love these build series. Can’t wait to see the finish on the paint job. I love S2Ks
Body work is such an unappreciated art form
That ending was touching. Just two guys wanting the best for each other and dreaming of rolling down the road with two cool cars 😎
Seeing this S2k being save it's freaking awesome 🔥🔥 from going ball's too the wall at the track with Jackie and now getting restored for retirement as a street car NICE can't wait too see how good it's gonna be🤙

Bingo, they even sell spot weld cutting bits at Advanced.
Weld buster chisel and spot weld bits would def be easier than the belt sander in some spots but still they did a really good job
Finally! I've been waiting for another S10k video. This beauty is coming along great!
The vibes at the start of this are immaculate
Been following the channel for years now and love how it's evolved. But I'll tell you what stands out a lot recently. Mark seems like a very respectful, honest, and knowledgable mechanic. Def keep him around!
Yellow looks so good on the S2000.
First of all the choice of jazz music is the most inspired move ever. I don't understand why it fits but it does.
Still one of the highest quality channels in the world like i never get bored of watching your content guys, shout out from south africa 🇿🇦
S2000 roadtrip!🇯🇵🙋♂️

Waking up in the am having my coffee watching this and the background jazz music HITS

Mark's car should get some TLC as well. And that would make for great content. I'd like that yellow brighten up even more.

The atmosphere of these episodes is soooo mellow, sipping my coffee, dreaming about my own workshop, beautiful
This series really makes me miss my ap1. fantastic cars.

Didn't even realize it was Saturday and woke up to a blessing. A G&G video
Wow, what a difference already. Can't wait to see it all one colour. Also I get the vibe Mark enjoys working on the S2k.
The music choices are giving me Gran Turismo menu vibes and it's fantastic and relaxing
I'm absolutely loving this pseudo restoration! Also having Mark's s2k really is a good contrast for progress. Can't wait for the next vid!
The quality of you video always want me to watch another one but I've already watched them all. Continue the great work guys I love your channel.
I loved the early 20th century soundtrack. Like watching that same old story, of hammers and heat, to adjust the bodywork. 😊
How many spot-welds?
Honda Engineers: It's not a question of how many we can, but a question of how many until we can't.
When belt sanding try to evenly grind the spot welds by moving the belt up and down trying to make a “rectangle” and as soon as you see the top layer cracking around the spotweld use a chisel and hammer to pop the spotweld off and grind the leftover spotweld flush with the base metal
Great finish for the fitment, goofy timestamps, and genuinely awesome S2K+ work. Way to go guys! You a real one too Steve!
“Ben Simmons” was an incredibly accurate reference.
The way that variable-speed detailing file sander was trading bars with that trumpet chorus--you've outdone yourselves with the editing on this one!
This is my current favorite project, looking forward to more 🤘😎🤘
Mark/Marc ? Sorry mate, needs his own build episode lesssssgo boyyys
Mark was such a good choice to have permanently in the crew of G&G. Can’t wait for next Saturday to come along for more content.

Ben did a K swap. So the plebe filters will work. 😂
awesome to see this project come along, superb work as always from the whole extended team!
Man the music is so relaxing love it👌🎶
Great build! Would love to see a mini road trip with the two s2000’s !
Watching this at 5 in the morning for the best experience 😎🤟
Can't wait for another road trip episodes with these two S2K 😍
If Mark is up for it, why not?
THANK YOU for citing your source for inspiration! Love G&G!
With so many awesome widebody options for the S2k it really surprised me to see you go BACK to stock body...good work either way
Sometimes, stock body width is best. If I have a performance car, I wouldn't want to do any irreversible mods.
Love love love the music. Wife factor very high with this one, I've graduated from my pc monitor to the TV!
Glad to see another s2k saved.
I really like Mark, glad he's part of the team now!
I literally teared from 17:03 to 17:20, beautiful.
Lovin the disco music during panel removal lol
I love these kind of videos, they are very relaxing to watch
Guys you're really lucky to have Mark, this guy do averything
S2k harlequin is coming together great.
All joking aside, another amazing video!
Another video from gears and gasoline 🔥
I was just thinking the other day its almost time for another s2k video, excited to see the progress.
I been waiting for this s2000, keep it updated ❤s2000

Sheesh, Jackie Dingdong hacked this one up. Looking forward to seeing the full transformation to bring her back to life.
the jazz was a nice touch!
I can’t wait to see how it will come together. I hope I can own one my self soon
Love the misic. Open source jazz.
Im looking forward for more updates on the S10K build ben!!

That was beautiful. I am referring to Ben rolling on the thing in the end of the video
Loving this S2000 build
Man.. that sax... background score!!
Lovely seeing Jackie’s s2k be revived from near death
I really like the series on this car
Music is fucking stellar this episode lads.
Gotta love that goth harlequin paint job
Loved the music in this one!
Love the music choice
So much builds! You guys need more production crew! At least 2 videos a week
This video was beautiful gentlemen. Keep this up!
Finally I’ve been waiting for this video 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for saving jackie ding’s mess!
Oh yea. That jazz was it. Thank you
)) awesome horizontal drift at the end of the video
this might be an odd thing to point out but i really liked the subtle bokeh effect on the intro
Damn perfect video to wake up on my bday😊
Doing work with the itb’s uncovered is crazy
S2000 is such a good looking car.
Love my finger sander, I have worn a few of them out. But id probably have used more spot weld cutters (until you get a batch that don't work and then they get relocated all over the workshop)
get mark a fresh intake filter for that hoonda he deserve it
Daaamn it’s on its way. Let’s goooo

Coming along nicely 👌🏾
another banger video, as always
You all need to have a second channel on how to create engaging content and mix in music. Amazing stuff.
I really love this build. ❤ s2k are great.
Their is no RUclips channel that does voice overs better than Gears and gasoline
This is so refreshing
